Nike Air Max 90 Brown Croc Skin
With its 20th birthday right around the corner, the Nike Air Max 90 is emerging with some grown up treatments.  We saw a pair in white croc skin last week, and here’s the first of three in a mix of lizard-like leathers.  Above, we see another pair in croc skin, which is brown this time around.  They feature tonal plastic inserts in all the usual palces and the air bubble is also framed in chocolate.  An otherwise white midsole and black outsole balance these nicely.  These are rare, so act fast to cop them now from MentalKicks.

Alife Everybody Mono Low Speckles

We’ve recently shown you a number of summer Alife releases and it looks like the fellas will keep those fresh new styles coming, this time with a new take on their Everybody Mono Low model. This version features a light grey upper completely covered in a red speckled design with a simple white Alife logo along the side. The upper is met by a clean white midsole that sports a red stitching stripe going all the way around the shoe. The only other accent color comes by way of the light blue Alife logo print that appears on the tongue label. If you are feeling these unique kicks, you can find them now at Tobi. 3 Inches of Blood x Nike 6.0 Zoom Oncore High

In what may seem like an unlikely pairing, Nike 6.0 has teamed up with Canadian heavy metal band, 3 Inches of Blood, for an intriguing new collaboration sneaker. After learning that many of their athletes were die-hard metalheads and fans of the band, Nike decided that a collaboration made sense and the result is the Blood Oncore High. The shoe was co-designed by the band themselves, choosing an interesting selection of colors and materials to represent their aggressive sound in sneaker form. Known for their wizards and warriors fantasy battle themes, the Zoom Oncore High has been built for war.  The shoe features different muted shades of brown and green distressed leather for the upper with metallic silver side panels to symbolize the menacing blades of war. As a nod the band’s colorful name, various red hues provide additional accents on the tongue, midsole and laces and the 3 Inches of Blood logo is stitched into the heel. Whether you are a fan of the band or just think these kicks are fresh, you can pick up a pair at select Nike 6.o retailers beginning on May 1st. Via 5ones.

Pharrell x Spongebob x Vans Era Custom

One of Pharrell Williams’ fans has concocted a creative custom shoe to immortalize him and Spongebob Squarepants onto a pair of black leather Vans Eras. Known to have a soft spot for the little yellow guy, Pharell was given these kicks that feature his cartoon likeness on the back heel and a painted Spongebob on the toebox. Yellow laces add to the color scheme, but it’s the stuffed Spongebob serving as a puffy tongue that makes these one of the most unique and imaginative custom sneakers seen in a while. Check out more pics of this fun creation after the jump. Via BBC.

Nike Zoom BB II Black Silver + White Silver

The Nike Zoom BB II is a simply designed basketball shoe that is built for style and performance. The design is updated on these new pairs with a busy tonal pattern that appears across the upper, giving the shoe a more stylish appearance than previous colorways. Both black and white versions have just been released, both with silver accents. The Nike Zoom BB II offers several nice touches like the large Swoosh that appears on the back of the heel and the protruding ankle bubble that is a nice throwback to some of Nike’s most beloved early 90′s basketball kicks. As indicated by their name, these kicks also flaunt Zoom Air technology to make sure you are ballin’ in comfort. Both pairs are available now from NikeStore Europe and will hopefully be making their way to the States soon. Additional photos via HoopsChina.

Ubiq Fatima SL Fold Down Ankle Collar

With Visvim applying all kinds of different treatments to their lifestyle sneaker models, Ubiq has followed suit by throwing in a little something extra on the latest edition of their flagship model.  The Ubiq Fatima SL appears here with a thick layer of padding inside the ankle collar.  Throw in a quadruple stitch about half-way up and the effect is a sneaker that looks somewhat like a Timberland boot with a vulcanized rubber sole (especially the brown version).  Ubiq isn’t done with just the padding though, as the outer layer folds down to reveal a plaid lining in complimentary colours.  Appearing in brown, black and white, you can cop these now from atmos.

Air Jordan Force IV (AJF 4) All Red Part II

Due to the popularity of the AJF IV All Red Colorway, the originator of the photos, Marcus Troy has posted a few more photos of them from the Jordan Brand Classic last Saturday. The closer photos show the material a bit more, seems like the upper is a red synthetic nubuck similar to the Air Jordan IV Cool Grey or Air Jordan IV Eminem. Additional details include cement speckles in the heel, side wings and the midsole and a black highlights rounds out the package. As of right now, these are just samples and according to Troy and his Jordan source, they may drop Holiday 09.

Air Jordan Force IV (4) White Cement Black

Along with the Air Jordan Force IX, the Air Jordan IV x Air Force 1 Fusion seems to be among the most well-received models so far in the line. The secret is that on both pairs, with the exception of the midsoles, the shoes stays so close to the original Air Jordan designs that they are pretty hard to criticize, even for some of the most fervent Fusion haters. This pair of Air Jordan Force IV’s also has something extra going for them. The classic White/Cement/Black colorway is so revered that it is almost impossible to get wrong, especially on a shoe that looks so similar to the Air Jordan IV. Even sneakerheads who have been hating on Fusions since the beginning may have to come out of the woodwork to cop a pair of these. If you don’t feel like waiting for these to hit retail stores, you can pick up a pair early right now from MarqueeSole.

Jordan CP3.II Hulk White Denim Mean Green Quickstrike

Chris Paul’s Jordan CP3.II signature model will be dropping in a fresh new Quickstrike edition that gives the shoe its boldest look yet. This CP3.II colorway uses a combination of white patent leather and blue denim to construct the upper, but the most eye-catching element of the shoe comes by way of the striking Mean Green accents that cover several sections of the upper and the contrast stitching. These green touches have inspired the “Hulk” nickname and give the shoe some real personality. The decorative graphics that cover the heel section of the upper seem to pop more than ever before and the number 61 appears on the heel as a tribute to Chris Paul’s grandfather, who was killed a few days before the point guard honored his memory with a touching 61 point performance. This Hulk edition of the CP3.II will be released as a Quickstrike some time in the next week, so check out your local Jordan retailers to try to scoop a pair before they’re gone. Via HK-Kicks.

Asics Gel Lyte II III Speed Runnovation Pack Spring 2009

As you may have already noticed, Asics’ classic running models are popping up everywhere we look lately and this latest pack pays homage to the steps along the way of the Asics legacy. The Runnovation Pack gives a nod to the impressive advancements in running shoe technology that were developed by Asics nearly two decades ago. The pack is comprised of three shoes that mark the Asics running evolution. A white/black/gold Gel Lyte II represents for one of Asics most classic styles, with a black/yellow/white Gel Lyte III for the middle sibling of the three. The most recent shoe of the three models, the Gel Lyte Speed is the final step in the Runnovation Pack’s quest for running shoe perfection. The Gel Lyte Speed features a white upper with metallic silver and purple accents. All three styles are lightweight, comfortable and can be found now at Proper.
