The Gravis IV Skate collection continues to grow with their latest model, the Transit Hi. This midtop features a forefoot strap a la the Nike (Air) Trainer model, along with vents on the side panels and tongue. The standout design element is a pixelated diamond pattern on the heel and ankle collar. Each of these parts is replicated on three colourways: red/gold/white, black/white/red and white/black/blue (which eschews the diamond pattern). All of them are available now at Gravis Skateboarding retailers. via CtotheJL

A few days back, we gave you a look at the newest Nike 1World Air Force 1 model to hand over the reigns to a professional athlete. International soccer superstar, Rio Ferdinand, not only holds down the center back position for legendary football club, Manchester United, as well as for the English National Team, but now he has his own premium Air Force 1 shoe to add to his impressive resume. The shoe uses a super-clean white upper with a combination of smooth leather and alligator skin providing the shoe’s foundation. Minimal accents come by way of a University Blue tongue label and Metallic Gold on the Swoosh and Ferdinand’s number 5 logos on the heels.
Completing the white on white color scheme is a transparent white midsole and outsole that gives off a crisp milky look that allows the heel Air bubble unit to show through. A final personal touch is a quote by Rio Ferdinand printed on the insole that reads “IF… I got to play just 1 minute of professional football, I would die a happy man.” These dropped in very limited quantities last weekend, so for now, eBay is your best hope. Check out some more pics and the latest eBay listings after the jump. Via Freshness.

Supreme’s recent collaboration with punk rock legend, Malcolm McLaren, has not only produced a bunch of fresh Supreme gear, but there will also be a sneaker included in the collection. The seldom seen Vans V-79 has been chosen as the canvas for these three collaborators to bring to life. The v-79 is a very simple classic-looking design, but the shoe is given a bold look thanks to three bright colorways and some heavily decorated insole graphics and tongue labels. The V-79 will be available in bright pink, yellow and orange, all with black tongues and laces and white midsoles and toe caps. All three colorways will go on sale in-store and at the Supreme online shop beginning this Thursday, May 21st, and will then be hitting Japan on the 23rd.

Given the prevailing trend towards white sneakers for summer, now’s the perfect time to stand out in a pair of new black kicks. The Air Jordan True Flight appears above in a simple black construction with white accents. The double stitches really stand out in this palette, and it’s more evident than ever that this is more than just an Air Jordan VII clone. Throw in a few touches of metallic silver and these are ready to go. Cop em now on eBay. Via ivehademall

While designing the Hyperdunk shoe, Eric Avar took design inspiration from a Nike concept shoe created in the late 80’s for movie character Marty McFly [played by Michael J. Fox] in the film Back to the Future II. The shoes were created through a licensing agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group. To help introduce the Hyperdunk to the general public Nike designed a McFly Hyperdunk which released last July to much fanfare.
The Hypermax which is not the next version of the Hyperdunk but a similarly designed sneaker for the bigger men in basketball. Nike has decided to design a McFly Hypermax as well which we saw a short while back. The McFly Hyperdunk was designed with all the technology in place, the McFly Hypermax has been designed with a satin upper in place of the Flywire upper. No word on a release date just yet but we would assume this could be another Summer release. Via Sole Collector

You can never have too many white sneakers come summertime and the same can be true of Air Force 1s. The Nike Air Force 1 ’07 Low appears above in a simple mix of white and team red. The official color says there’s also some black on this pair, but we don’t see it. Let us know if you find the black, especially since we hooked you up by letting you know that you can cop these a whole week early from Vault.

The best thing about having an all time classic silhouette is that you can apply all kinds of colour combinations to it and occasionally add something new like a deluxe fabric or interesing pattern to add a whole new level of possibilities. The Nike Dunk High appears above in a clean mix of white and yellow suede. The black midsole adds something of a Pittsburg Steelers feel. While the colours and fabrics are certainly nice, the key feature is a tonal polka dotted toebox, achieved by brushing the dots to make them nappier than the ‘base’ of smoother suede. If you need a white sneaker for summer with a little something extra, cop these now from Standard.

Hit by complete surprise is the next Nike 1World collaboration, this time with a UK personality, Manchester United center back Rio Ferdinand. While simple in appearance, this Air Force 1 low is on the lux side with an all white premium leather upper offset with a gold swoosh. Keeping to the white upper is a milky translucent white sole which we believe is the first time its been used on an Air Force 1 Sole. This Rio Ferdinand x Nike 1World Air Force 1 Low is now available Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer Store in New York but should be pretty hard to get outside of the UK.

The Nike Hyperize has yet to officially release, but the Hyperdunk part deux is marching forward with quite a few new colourways. The pair pictured above features a mostly black construction with red and blue accents. The criss-crossing blue and red flywire threads take this design to a new level and suggest plenty of new options for future models. These are set to drop at Nike Basketball retailers including Foot Locker this December.

With summer right around the corner, it’s only natural to see a bunch of new releases from Vans Vault. This preview contains three unique packs, each with its own signature look. There’s a set of turquoise lowtops, including the Slip-On Authentics and a cap-toed velcro lowtop whose name we don’t yet know. The other two packs include both of the first two pairs but not the strappy joints. There’s one with a geometric pattern that slightly resembles the back of playing cards. The pattern is replicated in either green or red, both atop white bases and these appear to be Eco releases, judging by the insole logos. The remaining pack is a white on black edition of their Uniphant pattern. All of these will release between now and the end of next month, so check back with Sneaker News for updates. via HS

Clarks’ 50th anniversary celebration isn’t the only reason the desert boot is receiving some well-deserved attention this year. The Aaron Rose x DC Artist Project is the second in what is becoming an annual collaboration between the Beautiful Losers creator and an increasingly collabo-happy skate company. The pack contains a green midtop witha red stitch around the ankle collar area plus a tan lowtop. Both feature plaid linings and a teardrop-patterned outsole. The inspiration is said to be 1950′s British ‘Mod’ culture, but the boxes are styled similarly to last year’s. Either way, you can cop them today from select DC retailers, including Foosh, who have the midtops in stock. via FRESHNESS

We’ve seen the use of electricity or at least the use of blinking lights several years black with the LA Gear sneakers, more recently, a collaboration from Solebox and other customizers looking for the next interesting mod to sneakers. This recent custom continues this trend with a Dunk High custom featuring battery operated Strobe or Constant light functions. Yet that is still not the most notable part of this sneaker, the customizer was asking for cool $2500 for this unique pair. Perhaps an interesting way to gather attention but unfortunately the auction ended with out a buyer.
