Gourmet might very well be in the process of one of the most ingenious bait-and-switches the world of footwear has ever seen. Coming on to the scene in the last couple years with designs that mimicked classic Air Jordan silhouettes, the company has recently started featuring more completely original designs. Showing that the transition is still underway, ‘older’ models like the Air Jordan XII-evoking Quattro are still around, but this time they feature horse hair uppers (another Nike staple from years gone by). Click the jump to see Gourmet’s entire collection for Spring/Summer 2009, including the dope Epi Leather kicks they dropped back in March. Those and all the rest are available now at Gourmet’s e-store or any of their retailers. via Sneaker Freaker

The Air Max 95 has seen its fair share of different colorways over the years, but nothing seems to come close to that classic gradient grey upper. Lately, Nike has brought back a bunch of new Air Max 95 colorways that use the original Neutral Grey formula and frankly, you can switch the accent colors all day and you really can’t mess it up. The latest version puts a new spin on things by adding some Mint accents to the mix. As you would expect, the Mint highlights can be found on the lace loops, Swoosh and inside the Air bubbles. This may not be the most creative colorway of the Air Max 95, but when you are working with that classic grey base, the results usually wind up successful. There is no word yet on a release date for these, but they are expected to drop some time this fall. Via TheShoeGame.

With Ken Griffey Jr. slugging for the Seattle Mariners once again, Nike couldn’t have picked a better time to re-release his most popular signature shoe. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 appears above in a varsity royal colourup with white and black accents. There are also a few touches of volt, but since the bright yellow hue is the most eye-catching of all the colours on this pair, they’re likely to be referred to as ‘Volts’. Call ‘em what you will, these are a dope look for summer and are available a little earlier than expected from Foot Locker in the NY metro area. Call your local store for availability or see if your size is one of the few still available on their website.

Even with their elite big man, Kevin Garnett, sidelined with an injury, the Boston Celtics are still going strong in the playoffs and to no one’s surprise, Paul Pierce is a big reason why. The Celtics’ scoring machine has been putting in work during their current battle with the Magic and now you can show your Celtic Pride thanks to the upcoming release of Paul Pierce’s Zoom Sharkley PE’s. We showed you a look at Paul’s Sharkley’s a few weeks ago and at the time, it was unknown if they would ever be released for retail. The good news came today that these kicks will be hitting House of Hoops as well as two Boston Foot Lockers some time this week. The shoe comes in a nice white/green/black colorway with some nice personalized touches and will make a nice addition to the collection of any Celtics or Paul Pierce fans. You can find these any day now at House of Hoops and the 779 Dudley St. and 375 Washington St. Foot Locker stores in Boston. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

Some of the Swoosh’s biggest hits were bumped up a notch with the NIKEiD Studio’s increased design options revealed yesterday. Conspicuous by its absence was the legendary Air Force 1, but that hiatus was a mere 24 hours. Today, the NIKEiD Air Force 1 Low Premium Mx is available for customization at Nike Sportswear’s flagship location at 21 Mercer St. in New York. This is the only stateside studio to offer options like luxe suede, luxe full grain leather, patent leather, a ‘magic’ patent leather, visible Airbags and 10 characters laser etched on the outer midsole. NSW Tokyo and NTL will also have these options, but if you’re in the US, call or stop by 21 Mercer St. to set an appointment.

We’ve seen plenty of crazy renditions of the Nike Air Max 90 recently, and as if their inclusion in the Nike iD Premium lineup weren’t enough, here’s another top-of-the-line pair. The AM90 pictured above features a black patent leather upper with sparkles that makes it look somewhat holographic. The sparkles are blue and yellow, which ties the patent leather in with the various accents in those two hues. These are very limited, so act fast if you wanna cop them now from OSneaker.

Nike has put the Sakura print edition of the Air Force 1 Low into heavy rotation this spring. By now you have probably already seen the Pro Cyan, Bright Coral, Metallic Silver and Purple versions, and now there is a new colorway joining in the fun. This time around, a white on white upper is accented by various shades of green on the outsole, tongue label, heel panel and lining. Like the other Sakura models, a floral pattern graces the midpanel and insole, giving the shoe a tasteful feminine look for all the lady sneakerheads out there. These dropped last weekend and can be found right now on eBay. You can check out some detailed close-ups after the jump. Photos: ID4SHOES.

The hype around Dunk SB’s seems to have died down a little lately with the creative concepts and colorways that made them so vigorously coveted now coming few and far between. The latest Dunk Low Quickstrike from Nike SB seems to be a good step back in the right direction. The shoe takes its inspiration from the Ms. Pacman character from the popular 1980′s arcade game. The kicks feature an eye-catching color combo, using a pink and aqua upper with a yellow tongue label and trim and black eyelet panels and laces. Additional black accents appear around the ankle and tongue piping as well as on the outsole. These will likely be a must-have for many of the Dunk craving disciples who haven’t had much to spend their money on lately, so get over to DQM before they’re snatched up like a row of Pac pellets.

Duck brand duct tape made news about a decade ago by offering college scholarships to the best high school prom attire made primarily from their products. Though we’ve seen a Prom Pack from Jordan Brand in honour of sneakerheads’ inevitable fashion leanings, that’s as close as we ever got to a duct tape pack of shoes, until now. the Saucony Originals Jazz Limited Edition Duct Tape Collection takes the phenomenon of taped sneakers to a new level. Four pairs are set for limited release, two with black tape underlays and the others have silver. The black pairs have either neon green or pink accents, while the silver pairs are split between a black edition and one with black and red overlay. Overall, the Air Jordan Force IX has been the most widely accepted Fusion model and with more classic looking color schemes like these, their appeal is bound to grow further. This version of the Air Jordan Force IX features a white leather upper with an extra glossy red midsole and a black tongue, laces and lining. History has shown that when it comes to Air Jordans, there is something about those white/red/black Chicago Bulls color schemes that just looks so right. These dropped last month, but there are still some floating around eBay if you missed them in the stores. Photos: Kixpress

The turf floor at Standard’s new Lenox Square location was in full effect as they released their collaborative effort with DC Shoes on a dope red and green Admiral. Being the first store in Atlanta to work together with a major shoe company is quite an accomplishment and they celebrated in grand fashion. How this stacked up against their release of the pink/black Air Yeezy is something that may never be decided, but it’s clear that Standard drew a nice crowd for their big day. Check out more pics of the festivities after the jump.
