Vans likes to release concepts across packs including several of their classic models and here’s another example. The Vans Vault Eras pictured above are the lowtop counterparts to similar Half Cabs we saw last Saturday. There’s one pair each in black/white or tonal brown and they feature the same contrast piping and stitching we saw a week ago. As with those earlier pairs, these are set to drop during the Holiday 2009 season. via Marcus Troy

If you are a frequent reader of this site, it would probably not take too much to convince you that sneaker design is actually an artform, but this new pack from Reebok pushes that idea to a new level. The new Koi Nobori Freestyle pack uses beautifully painted illustrations on the uppers of each sneaker to help celebrate the Japanese holiday of Tango no Sekku, a traditional day where people create carp-inspired wind socks each May. This collection of Freestyles each features fish eyes, scales and gills and will undoubtedly be a conversation starter for whoever wears a pair. The Koi Nobori Freestyle is available in four women’s colorways, red, blue, green and black, all with a white fleece lining. If you are a follower of this Japanese custom or you just dig these crazy designs, the entire collection is available now at RS Store. Via HighSnobiety.

Back in November, we showed you a sneak preview of the collaboration between Japanese retailer Deluxe and Vans on the classic Sk8-Hi model. The shoe featured a luxurious black upper with a red lining and accents and now a second colorway has emerged with some slight differences. The newest version of the Deluxe x Vans Sk8-Hi sports a similar black leather upper with a ribbed horizontal texture running from the toe all the way to the heel. The only real differences are that the red on the paisley lining and accent stripe has been swapped with dark grey, giving the shoe a slightly more conservative look. Like on the others, a Deluxe logo tab appears on the ankle and a there is a co-branded label on the tongue. There is no official word on a release date, but both colorways are expected to drop in the near future, so stay tuned for more info. Via Hypebeast.

The Air Jordan Ol’ School II was set to premiere last fall, but instead, Jordan Brand stuck with new colourways of the original model for a while. The new version is now available in lowtop form, and it looks like JB made some changes in the interim. This pair features the classic Air Jordan ‘Wings’ logo on the side panels rather than the heel area. It’s embroidered in a tonal thread atop the canvas panels. The rest of the shoe is made of an all-black mix of leather and shiny patent leather. This dark upper is balanced by a white midsole and icey outsole. If you’re looking for something understated this summer, look no further and cop yours now on eBay. Photos: Highkickz.

You may remember that late last year, Nike released a women’s Air Assault High with tortoise shell accents. Even with the countless different materials and textures that Nike has used over the years, this new concept stood out as a very unique look for a sneaker. Now Nike has decided to grace another women’s shoe with the tortoise treatment, this time using the Vandal low as their canvas. The sneaker features a light brown suede upper with sections of the tortoise material on the Swoosh, toe box and strap to give this Vandal a very stylish look. Additional gold accents are included around the Swoosh and eyelet section, as well as on the outsole and lining. Ladies looking for a little extra fashion edge from their sneakers this spring can pick up a pair now at Nordstrom.

Late last month, we gave you a look at Asics’ spring Runnovation pack, a collection that honors some of their classic running styles and now it appears that there will be a part two coming this summer. You may have already gotten a peek at the black/white Gel Lyte Speed model last week, but now we have some images of the other two styles that will make up the pack. Like the first Runnovation Pack, there will be a Gel Lyte II and III joining the Gel Lyte Speed. The Gel Lyte II features a clean white upper with red accents and a variety of different materials including a mesh toe box and a grid patterned underlay on the mid and ankle panels. The Gel Lyte III, which has recently been released in a ton of colorways, does its best to stand apart from the others with a black/metallic silver upper highlighted by some mint green accents and a multitude of materials and textures. If you’re feeling the Asics resurgence, this pack is expected to hit stores such as Hanon sometime in June.

With several other amazing releases on tap, Nike’s Holiday 2009 collection is sure to have something for everyone. Here we have a few more examples of heat for the cold weather months. Pictured above is a pair of Nike Air Max 1s that feature rich red and black suede plus white on the upper’s mesh inserts as well as the midsole. The outsole is about 75% gum coloured, with the midfoot section giving way to white. Along with these are the crazy chlorophyll Air Maxim 1 x Air Trainer 1s and two pairs of Air Structure Triaxes. The Triaxes come in a pair featuring all three primary colours plus black and white and another that rock the always well-received Grape palette. We’ll have plenty of updates for you on all of these between now and the time when you’ll be sipping egg nog and trying them on. via Unheardof

The Nike Air Maxim 1 has met with a warm reception thusfar, but this pair takes it to a whole new level. Whether they were designed by or just inspired by Dutch artist Parra is something we’ll have to wait to find out, but it’s clear that the red and turquoise touch was downright Midas on this pair.
They feature a clean black on black upper, including the Maxim’s uprgraded, Flywire-equipped side panels, and the lower portion of suede is double stitched to the rest with the aforementioned colours. These same hues are also splattered across the black midsole in what might be this pair’s standout feature. Top them off with striped Starks’ laces, and these joints are beyond reproach. We expect these during the Holiday 2009 season, and rest assured Sneaker News will bring you the latest updates. via Unheardof

Earlier today, we showed you a preview of the Sabretooth Air Max 95 from Nike’s new Wolverine vs. Sabretooth pack and now we bring you some images of the Wolverine edition. The Wolverine installment uses a Big Nike High, incorporating the yellow, blue, red and black from Wolvie’s classic X-Men uniform, even going as far as to include his very recognizable black stripes on the heel section. In addition to the color scheme, the design also gives a nod to our favorite mutant’s adamantium claws, including slash mark graphics on the mid panel and a sliced up Nike logo on the red tongue. A royal blue outsole and laces add some additonal color to the mix, helping to complete the X-Men color scheme. Like the Sabretooth shoe, these are also available right now at select Nike retailers such as Proper and SneakerPolitics and will likely be going fast. Additional photos via Ctothe JL.

To coincide with the recent release of the Wolverine movie, Nike has put together a Wolverine vs. Sabretooth pack using two of their classic models. You may have already seen some blurry sample images of these floating around the internet, but now we finally have a good look at this intriguing new pack. The Sabretooth Air Max 95 design is a little less obvious than the Wolverine installment, but still makes for a nice addition to the Pack. It attempts to capture the look of Sabretooth’s shiny fur coat, using shades of orange, brown, red and yellow over a white base and like the Wolverine shoe, there is a design on the tongue that appears to have been carved out by claws. If you are a fan of these characters or just think that this makes for a cool pack, you can pick up both pairs now at Proper and Sneaker Politics, but don’t hesitate because they probably won’t be around for long.
