Lance Armstrong x Nike Air Max 90 LIVESTRONG LAF

Here’s another release from Lance Armstrong’s impressive ‘Stages’ Collection for Nike.  The Nike Air Max 90 LIVESTRONG LAF appears above in the colours you’d expect, black and yellow, plus a little white and grey thrown in to balance the shoe for everyday use.  They feature the signature yellow ‘LIVESTRONG’ strip on the tongue tag and insole and a speckled midsole.  Like all ‘Stages’ relaeses, proceeds from the sale of this pair will benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation in its fight to against cancer. Look for these sometime this month at select Nike Sportswear retailers, for now, they are also available at MentalKicks.

Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache DQM + Huf Holiday 09

A vivid image surely comes to mind any time you hear or read the word ‘Hufquake’.  This modern classic jumped off of a pack of Dunks and Air Force 1s about three years ago, with a few updates in the interim.  This latest release is a modern classic in its own right, adding the crackley pattern on a pair of Nike Air Max 90 Current Huaraches.  The palette on these is quite similar to a pair of ‘standard’ AM90s from a couple years back but features more black, along with the Flywire and Free sole upgrades.

Along with these come another pair of AM90 Current Huaraches designed by another three-letter streetwear mainstay.  The DQM edition features their signature fleshy palette of pink, red and brown with a little white thrown in for balance.  We expect both of these for the Holiday 2009 season and you can see all of the preview pics we’ve accumulated after the jump, including some closeups we snapped at Sneaker Con 2009.  via Unheardof

Air Jordan Force IX (AJF 9) Black Varsity Red Charcoal Release Reminder

Thanks to its tendency to stick to original Air Jordan IX colorways, the Air Jordan Force IX has been, by far, one of the most well-received Fusion models so far and this version is no exception. Just like the OG Air Jordan IX, this sneaker features a combination of black and charcoal on the upper with red accents gracing the lining and heel tab, as well as some new touches of red like the AJF lace locks and the stitching on the extra-glossy black midsole. We’ve already shown you several previews of the Air Jordan Force IX and now it will finally be hitting stores. The Black/Varsity Red/Charcoal colorway will officially be on sale as a limited release beginning tomorrow, May 9th, but if you can’t find them in stores, you can always pick up a pair on eBay. Nike Sportswear Fly Top Fall 09

Nike Sportswear has just unveiled a new model that looks like it could be from the early 80′s, but is actually a brand new design. The Fly Top looks like an old school basketball sneaker, but is obviously targeted at the lifestyle market that just can’t seem to get enough super-high cut sneakers at the moment. The shoe features a very simple classic design with a leather upper that sports some perforations around the toe. The most noticeable attribute has to be the ankle strap that wraps around the extra-high upper, adding some extra support and style in the process. For starters, there will be three colorways, a solid black pair with a white midsole, a white on white and a red/white version. Look for these to begin hitting Nike Sportswear retailers sometime this Fall. Be sure to check out some more images of the Fly Top after the jump. Via HighSnobiety.

Nike Air Penny 1/2 Cent Black Fall 09

After setting the sneaker game on fire with the release of the Varsity Royal Air Penny 1/2 Cent a few months back, Nike has been making us wait quite a while for more colorways to drop. Yesterday, we gave you a look at some new images of the Metallic Silver version that will come out in October and you’ve probably already seen the Green Spark colorway that is releasing in December. Now it’s time to take another look at the all black model that we previewed a few months ago. The shoe sports a black on black theme with the only accents coming by way of some minimal silver touches that are scattered throughout the design. A release date for these is still unknown, but we are hoping that it’s sooner rather than later, because October seems like a long time to wait for a new 1/2 Cent colorway to drop. We’ll let you know as soon as a date has been officially confirmed. Via VulkanTheKrusader.

Nike Air Yeezy Launch Event Melbourne

While sneakerheads in the States were putting in work trying to get their hands on a pair of the Black/Pink Air Yeezy’s, folks across the globe in Melbourne, Australia were celebrating the release of the Zen Grey pair. A launch event was held at a secret venue, and needless to say, once word got out, folks were scratching and clawing to get on the guestlist. Those lucky enough to get inside were treated to some crazy visual stimulation compliments of an arsenal of blacklights, roving lasers and Nike-clad go-go dancers. A raffle was held to determine who would get a pair of Yeezy’s and even those who didn’t win were given some nice consolation prizes like glow in the dark Sneaker Freaker magazines and Kanye CD’s. Check out a bunch more pictures of the party after the jump. Via SnkrFrkr.

Nike Air Max 90 Huarache White Black Magenta

After an onslaught of reptile skin editions, let’s get back to basics with this classic runner.  The Nike Air Max 90 is nearly 20 years old, but simple colourways like this that still look so good are evidence why it will stick around for at least 20 more.  This pair features a white base with black patent leather and magenta accents.  One especially interesting feature is the tonal translucent heel tab.  This pair is available now on eBay. Nike Hyperize White Aquamarine Grey November 09

Following the successful trail blazed by the Hyperdunk, the Hyperize is poised to make a nice splash of its own. The shoe incorporates certain aspects of the Hyperdunk, like the Lunar Foam midsole and Flywire construction, but the shoe definitely has its own look. You may have already seen this colorway as part of our holiday ’09 preview, but now we have some new images to give you a closer look at some of the finer details. The shoe features a white leather upper with black and aquamarine accents and a transparent mid panel that allows the Flywire to show through. This version of the Hyperize will no doubt be a very popular colorway thanks to some obvious color similarities to the highly coveted McFly Hyperdunk, and the good news is that these should be a lot easier to get your hands on. Look for them to drop sometime in November at select Nike retailers. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

New Balance CW996M Pack Summer 09

It looks like New Balance will continue to broaden their horizons by adding more bright colors to some of their beloved running models. This time around it’s the 996 that will get the summer color treatment, injecting the classic style with some vibrant new life. Three new colorways have just been released, each with a distinctive look that provides some eye-catching elements without going too far over the top. The most conservative pair is the white/menthol version which uses a mostly white upper with light green accents. The white/lemonade colorway sports a similar look, but swaps the green for a bright yellow and throws some black and silver accents into the mix. The third colorway is black/cherry and features a black leather upper with pink and silver accents. If one or more of these bold new styles is calling your name, you can find all three right now at Mita.

Nike Air Max 90 Current Flywire Varsity Red

The Air Max 90 Current Flywire has recently become a welcome addition to the Air Max family. What’s not to like? The Air Max 90 has been around fore almost 20 years and we have seen so many colorways and variations since then that the logical step was obviously to take the shoe further into the future. Nike has incorporated some of their recent technological innovations into the classic style, taking an already solid performance shoe and bringing it into the new millennium and beyond. The additions of Flywire and a Free sole have assured that this Air Max 90 will be among the lightest and most responsive running shoes on the market today and that just covers the functional aspects. This shoe also has a very sleek and stylish look to it and the red on red color scheme sends the freshness factor through the roof, ensuring that you will turn some heads in these whenever you break them out. The Air Max 90 Current Flywire has already been released at select retailers in Asia and will hopefully be on their way to the U.S. in the very near future. Stay tuned for specific release details very soon. Via dunk.com.cn.
