The New Balance 1500 is one of the company’s high-end retro models, so whenever you hear a pair is on the way, you know it’s gonna be something special. This latest pack was made at NB’s secondary factory in the UK as a Japanese special edition. The New Balance M1500UKB Japan is set to drop in three colourways, but only two have appeared to this point. There’s one each in white or black, both with white midsoles, and a brown pair on the way. Despite their origins, only one store in the UK has these, so if you want to save on shipping rather than searching for them in the land of the rising sun, cop them today from Hanon.

It looks like Vans is taking a safety first approach with their latest version of the iconic Sk8-Hi model. The shoe features a bold look that is hard to miss and just to make sure of that, Vans has included some reflective neon accents. The upper of this Sk8-Hi is a combination of black suede on the toe and eyelet panel and bright red nylon covering the mid and rear section. The shoe also sports a clean white midsole, metallic silver eyelet rings and contrasting white stitching. The reflective neon yellow on the Vans logo stripe, heel section and tongue label not only makes for an interesting color scheme, but it will also keep you safe when skating through crosswalks at night. If you are feeling this wild new look for the Sk8-Hi, you can pick up a pair of these now at ABCmart.

As most of you Jordan fans know by now, Nelly, has been one of the more fortunate celebrities when it comes to Jordan Brand and free products. He’s been seen a number of times wearing various Jordans months before their release date. This latest occasion came during Game 3 of the Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers second round playoff game, where Nelly was spotted courtside alongside Young Jeezy and T.I. with a pair of never before seen Air Jordan 60+ shoes in a White, Red, and Black colorway. There’s no word on when these will be released but the 60+ looks to be the next hyrid from Jordan Brand, which combines five different Air Jordan’s that MJ wore when he scored 60 or more points.

Few expected the Nike Blazer would overtake the Dunk as the Swoosh’s showpiece model, but with designs like this, few would argue the results of late. This newest pair of Nike Blazer Highs utilizes a single colour but manages to be anything but vanilla with its use of a shiny checkerboard pattern on the upper. A plain white Swoosh adds a tonal effect atop this shiny surface. Everything about these screams ‘summer’, and you can grab a pair in time for Memorial Day from select Nike Sportswear retailers including Choko.

As we all know, there are two kinds of sneakerheads out there. There are those who keep their sneakers pristine in the box, never to be scuffed, stepped on or exposed to air. Then there are those that throw caution to the wind and rock those fresh kicks daily, unable to have them in their possession without showing them off to the world. Here we have some images from a collector that takes that second category so far to the extreme that his sneaker collection looks more like a sneaker morgue. We’re not sure exactly what this gentleman has been doing in these kicks, but whatever it is, it has taken a severe toll on them. Most of the collection is made up of shoes that will cost you well over a hundred dollars, and for that kind of money, you would expect them to hold up a little better.
In the case of almost every pair shown, the sole has separated itself from the rest of the shoe or worse. Some of these shoes are, at this point, actually more packing tape than sneaker, but we give it up to this guy for never saying die. Not everybody is obsessed with keeping it crisp all the time and we tip our hats to this collector for getting the most out of his sneaker investments. The only real head-scratcher is how these things got so mangled when he has so many different pairs to rotate. You have to be putting in some serious work to mess up that many pairs of kicks that severely. Be sure to check out a bunch more pictures of some real sneaker tragedies after the jump. Via Kenlu.

With its sequel the Hyperize on the way soon, this summer is likely the last hurrah for the Nike Hyperdunk. It’s going out in style with this new Summer Pack. The Hyperdunk appears above in two new pairs with white bases. There’s one pair each in varsity red and black or varsity royal with yellowish-orange accents. Both pairs featured coloured Flywire spines for depth, plus a splash of the main colour on the midfoot section of the midsole. You can cop the red pair, black pair or both of these now from Sneakerhead.

Those of you bummed by the end of the Nike SB P-Rod II line will want to take note. Though we’ve seen the last P-Rod II and the P-Rod III is ready to go, these samples are something for the steadfast II lovers to drool over. Though it’s unlikely to ever make it to market, the P-Rod II in a deep shade of purple called ‘gridiron’ with black accents atop a gum sole is absolutely dope. The Swoosh is done in faux-croc skin, adding to the luxury feel of the Gucci-like side panels. Enjoy the pics of these, since that’s as close as you’ll probably ever come to having your own. via NT
