A name change notwithstanding, Nike’s latest House of Hoops-exclusive stayed true to its original design and we can’t blame them. The Nike Vandal Low NYC ‘Catch a Cab’ is clearly designed by the seasoned drivers on the streets of the city that never sleeps, but let’s take a second to overview the design inspiration anyway. Both the taxi yellow on the Swoosh and laces and the checkered piping and strap clearly borrow from the Big Apple’s costly cars for hire, and there are a few other references. The tongue tag rocks a Statue of Liberty insignia with ‘On/Off Duty’ details, while the insole is marked with ‘Nike Fare’, a takeoff on cab rates reformulated for roundball. These are set to drop on Friday, June 19th at Foot Locker’s HoH specialty stores, but you might have to walk if you wanna be sure you can afford the shoes.

Edgy collaborations never get old. This seems to be somewhat literally the case with the Eric Elms x Vans tag-team effort, which was first previewed back in January, but has still yet to be born. According to his interview with Hypebeast, Elms predicted that his midtop skate sneakers would drop “in a couple months, I think.” It looks like he’s still working on some of the accompanying elements, including a sculpture. Plenty of people view their sneaker collections the same way others think of their accumulations of art. This pair was created as a part of an exibition in its own right. The Lance Armstrong x Nike Sportswear LIVESTRONG ‘Stages’ Collection included plenty of heat, including the second chapter in the Futura x Nike Dunk High FLOM series. The shoes in this collection are set to be sold with proceeds going to charity, but you can cop them now if you place the right bid with force1love on the ISS Forums.

Although seemingly always in the shadow of the Nike SB juggernaut, the Nike 6.0 line comes with some pretty strong offerings more than they get credit for. The latest batch of Nike 6.0 drops present some nice summer skate options for both men and women. For the men there will be a very striking white/black/grey/purple Zoom Oncore High as well as an eye-catching multi-colored Zoom Oncore Low. For the ladies, there is a nice clean Pro Cyan/White Blazer Mid with some nice contrasting black accents and some White reptile skin on the upper section of the heel. Visvim already released their Christo Stripe sandals earlier this month, but these look a little cooler (literally). The Visvim Christo Sherpa Folk appears above in three new editions that look like they could (or already have) handle(d) the toughest of mountain conditions. In a combination of brown joints and another in black. The lighter brown pair features a purple stripe, while the darker has orange accents and the black pair ops for blue. As expected, Nike SB will be staying busy this summer with a slew of fresh new drops. Some of these kicks, like the white on white Dunk Low and the Elephant Skin P-Rod II, you have probably already seen, but Nike SB has some more tricks up their sleeves. This June will also see the releases of a new black/gold Zoom Tre A.D., a red/black Blazer Mid and a white/university/pink SB Classic. Rounding out the collection will be a Dunk Mid SB with a nice navy/white/gold color scheme. If you’ve been waiting for some of these or are just seeing them for the first time, they are all available now at CCS, so act fast before they’re all gone.

There are countless sneakerheads out there who kick themselves daily for missing out on some of the most beloved Nike SB Dunk classics. Unless you know where to look and have a lot of dough to drop, you’re probably not going to be copping most of these gems any time soon, but now you have a back-up option that might not quite be like rocking the real kicks, but for many it will have to suffice. Originally released back in 1988, the Air Jordan III in ‘True Blue’ was among the first Jordans released in a colourway other than black, red and white. They’ve been retroed before, but the demand is still high, so here comes another round. The white leather shoe with cement grey elephant print on the toe and heel, tiny touches of red and the signature blue hue is set to drop in August of this year. Believe us when we say that we understand if you can’t/don’t wanna wait until then, and luckily you can grab a pair now from a limited size run at Marquee Sole.

A lot of you have probably been anxiously awaiting this Air Tech Challenge Hybrid colorway ever since we gave you a sneak peek last month. The first version of the shoe in the White/Volt color scheme was a big hit and this one will likely follow suit. The shoe uses a Black/White upper with Rave Pink and Pure Purple accents, multi-colored graphics on the heel and several key elements of original Air Tech Challenge designs popping up in various places. The Air Jordan Six (6) Rings has been one of the more successful and liked hybrid models from Jordan Brand to date, so while the team at Jordan Brand have slowed down with the number of colorways we’ve seen of this particular shoe since the “Championship Pack”, we will see at least one more release of this shoe in a new colorway very soon. Here is a look at the Air Jordan Six (6) Rings “Hall of Fame” colorway, which honors MJ and his induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame this year. The HOF Air Jordan 6 Rings comes in a Black base with hints of Metallic Gold and Varsity Red. Additionally there is a number graphic printed on the midsole of the shoe. These are slated to be released in the upcoming months, while a specific release date has yet to be finalized. However like the Air Jordan III “True Blue” Retro’s, you can pick these up now at marqueesole.
