Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, the Nike Air Trainer line was given a big boost by the “Bo Knows” ad campaign. Bo Jackson was one of the most electrifying athletes you could ever watch and as an athlete endorser for Nike, he lent instant credibility to the kicks he sported, not only for his dazzling efforts on the baseball and football field, but for his likable personality and superhuman aura. The Air Trainer SC has since gone on to reach classic status in the sneaker world and with plenty of excitement surrounding their new Trainer 1 model, Nike has decided to re-release the Air Trainer SC this winter in a colorway that’s is still near and dear to Bo. The kicks he made famous will be returning in a crisp Black/Grey color scheme that is obviously influenced by Jackson’s days as an L.A. Raider. I like that they are coming back out with the Bo Jacksons, but they should put out the OG colorway. This is close, but not the original color. It’s funny. Back in the day when Air Jordan V’s were new sneakers, the only ones you could get with “23″ on the side were the ones with the black 3M tongue. Now its a standard detail on all the retros. Back in the day, the Bo Jacksons (above) had “34″ stitched on the heal of the shoe in the black, white and silver colorway. The Orange and Blues were blank in the back.
I want to see them retro the Jerry Rice joints (Air Carnivore) in the alternate 49ers colorway of white, red, black, and tan. (The release colorway was green, black, purple, and grey(We called them the Donatellos around my way). The Carnivore was killa. I’d pay $$$$$$ for them if they brought’em back out.

I guess Kobe and the Lakers have to cure cancer before ANY store in New England (I’m in NH) will put jersey or a t-shirt in a store. It’s funny. I can get a Shaq jersey all day. I’m a Bostonian who says F@#K the Celtics, Sox and Pats. I hope the them mothaflowers make it to the NBA finals next year so Kobe and the LakeShow can get that pay-back. Peace.

I have a Brand New pair of the original Nike Air Trainer Max SC Bo Jackson Retro Raiders Sz 10 with the real Raiders Colorway trim for sale on Ebay. I bought them back in 1997 while stationed in Japan and just found them in a box in my garage that I had never unpacked since being transferred until yesterday. They still have the original price tag attached with a plastic band through one of the shoelace holes.
