The Nike Auto Force 180 combines a Blazer outsole with a Nike Air Force 180 upper, the result is a retro looking basketball shoe that is more suitable for the streets and everyday wear. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers on Championship #15 and for Kobe Bryant, Ring #4. With his fourth ring, its safe to say that Kobe is now the leagues best player since MJ unlaced his sneakers. It would also be interesting to note that both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant won their rings under Coach Phil Jackson, who now has his 10th ring. Of course since this is Sneaker News, its most important to note that Kobe did it once again in his Nike Zoom Kobe IV 61 Points Edition. Congrats again to the Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers!

Rumours have been circulating the sneakerhead community about Air Jordan XII (12) Retro releases for late 2009, and now we have visible proof. The Air Jordan XII (12) ‘Rising Sun’ takes MJ’s 1996-97 sneaker and amplifies its design. The trademark stitching is still in place, but Jordan Brand added perforations to the white leather on every other section, creating an enhanced sunray effect. To ground out this half-perfed tumbled leather, the swooping lower side panels are made of white patent leather. The only touches of colour appear in the black lining and outsole elements, plus some red on the tongue and heel, as well as the signature metal hook eyelets. Take a look at these and let us know if you like the perforations. via Flightclub.tistory.com

With the Nike Hypermax NFW releases so hot of late, it’s only natural to see the shoe that started it all appear sans its signature element. The Nike Hyperdunk NFW appears above in four new designs that capture the essence of basketball sneakers as streetwear by eschewing the Flywire-equipped side panels in favour of a satiny surface. There’s one each in cool grey, red, yellow and blue. Each features a white midsole, Swoosh and laces, while the other accents match the satin. These are available now from Hoopcity in Korea, so stick with Sneaker News for updates on a stateside release.

Though the Supreme x Nike SB Bruin was likely a one-off teamup, these samples suggest more SB Bruins are on the way. The Nike SB Bruin appears above in its always clean design. These offer a simple white on carolina blue palette, and have a tonal blue foxing band that appears to be nylon. Because they’re samples, these are only available in US mens size 9.5, but if you act fast, you can grab them from eBay. Photos via skatelongbeach

In a year when Nike deemphasized it’s iconic Dunk model relative to recent history, the Blazer has had a little more wind in its sails. This new Nike Blazer Mid Supreme combines the boost in exposure with lux materials for a clean, can’t-lose design. This one is simple enough in a buttery black leather upper with white Swoosh and midsole, but the leather is so visibly soft that you could easily rock these at formal occasions. Grab a pair or two today from BingoRunner.

We’ve seen Nike use hologram details on a bunch of sneakers this year, but this one is just for those with smaller feet. The Nike Vantal High GS appears above in an utterly eye-popping design. If the white leather upper, with its vivid pink piping weren’t enough, these also feature lime green eyelets and lining, plus bright orange laces. The unquestionable stars of the show, however, are the pearlescent Swoosh and hologram ankle strap that looks to have a lenticular texture. If you’re looking for crazy sneakers, look no further and cop these today on eBay. Photos via HighKickz

To commemorate the cult classic’s 25th anniversary, Reebok drafted up some sneakers you definitely don’t want to get wet. The Reebok Pump Omni Light Gremlins Pack consists of two editions honouring the most memorable Mogwai from the 1984 film. Both of these are available now at select Reebok retailers, including atmos.

Converse has kept the Chuck Taylor All-Star constantly evolving over the years with countless different colors, materials and print designs. Their new summer ’09 roster keeps things moving forward with several new looks for the iconic model. The latest batch of Chucks features three low models and two high. The high models both sport a vertical stripe design, one on a black shoe and the other on a grey one. There is also a low-top version of the black striped Chucks. Joining that low model are two others. One features a black and grey plaid pattern on a white shoe and the other is a womens’ style that uses some fun underwater fish graphics to decorate the canvas uppers. If one or more of these Chucks are up your alley, they are all available now at Sneakerhead and you can check out a closer look at all five styles after the jump.
