Last night in Los Angeles, BET hosted it’s 2009 BET Awards Show which featured appearances by some of today’s biggest musicians, actors, and athletes including Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Carmelo Anthony, Ron Artest, Lil Wayne, Bobby Valentino, Soulja Boy, and more. As these various celebrities graced the red carpet, our eyes were glued to their feet. Kanye showed up with his girlfriend, Amber Rose, wearing a pair of crispy classic 6″ Wheat Timberland boots. Carmelo Anthony walked the red carpet with his wife, Lala, wearing a shirt honoring the late Michael Jackson and a pair of the Air Jordan I Premier’s in Varsity Red and Dark Army. Role Models actor, Bobb’e J. Thompson, appeared with a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones and the new nylon Nike Dunk High’s in Black and Pink. Other celebrities who wore some heat on the red carpet were Ne-Yo, Ron Artest, Soulja Boy, Sean Paul, and Bobby V.

There have already been LIVESTRONG editions of a number of beloved Nike models, and now the next batch will start to drop. For this round of releases, Nike will be releasing the Greatest Hits Collection, which features several of their classic sneaker collaborations with a LIVESTRONG makeover, starting with the infamous Mister Cartoon Air Force 1. The original Mister Cartoon Air Force 1 was never released to the public, but quickly developed a reputation as one of the sneaker game’s most coveted models. Now the shoe receives a LIVESTRONG makeover and has been reworked by the legendary tattoo artist himself for this collection. These kicks will drop at Mister Cartoon’s shop in Los Angeles on July 2nd and then get a wider release on July 4th to coincide with the start of the Tour de France. 100% of all proceeds will go to the fight against cancer, so you can do your part to help, plus get an ultra-fresh pair of kicks in the process. Seen Saturday on the feet of Jordan Brand’s main man Carmelo Anthony, the latest Air Jordan Fusion IV (AJF 4) is set to hit the streets. This edition draws on the original white, black and speckled cement grey colourway as seen in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing. These aren’t a full-on tribute to the film as was the Air Jordan 1 Retro Pack that released a short while back, but they do pay homage to the on-screen appearance with a green/yellow/red lacelock. Expect these soon stateside or grab them today from Dunk.com.cn

Michael Jordan ripped out Cleveland’s collective heart with his legendary series-ending buzzer beater over Craig Ehlo in the 1989 NBA Playoffs. As a small token of apology, Jordan Brand is set to drop a new pair in a colourway familar to the city. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap is pictured above in a mix of browns, white and a stripe of orange on the strap. The toe, heel and rear quarter feature a tonal brown elephant print, while darker brown on the heel tab and midsole blend it all together. No word yet on a release date, so enjoy the pics after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via FlightClub

Last week we gave you a detailed look at two of the sneakers from the Louis Vuitton and Kanye West collaboration sneaker collection and now we have for you a detailed look at all of the sneakers the the Louis Vuitton Don worked on with the French Fashion House. The three different models in the collection as some of you are aware by now were named by Kanye after members of his inner circle, the shoes include The Don, The Jasper, and The Mr Hudson. La MJC recently put together an entire photoshoot for the sneakers in a real world setting with models who were fortunate enough to be able to wear them before their general release at select Louis Vuitton retailers worldwide. via La MJC // Hypebeast

For a while, new colorways of the upcoming Air Jordan 60+ model were popping up left and right, but lately the shoe has been overshadowed by news of the Bulls/Celtics and Bulls/Magic 60+ Retro packs. Now the attention shifts back to the 60+ hybrid model, a shoe that blends elements of all the shoes that Michael wore during his 60 point performances. Here we have a look at the GS version, which doesn’t appear to be too different from the adult sample sizes seen previously. This version sports a fairly simple solid Black upper with the only accents coming from the White and Varsity Red Air Jordan V midsole and the wild pattern of the Air Jordan VII tongue. So far, people seem to be feeling these, and considering the classic designs that they are inspired by, it’s no wonder. These are expected to hit stores in mid-August, so we’ll be sure to keep you up on the latest leading up to the release, and for now, you can check out a bunch more pics after the jump. Via 52xie.

It looks like whomever suggested these were only dropping at Street Gear in Hempstead was mistaken. The Nike Air Force 1 QK ‘Jones Beach’ has crashed onto the shore at several different NY-area retailers. These joints feature a beautifully clean canvas upper with a seaweed-printed leather rear quarter/heel. The translucent outsole reveals a foamy wave crest, while the tongue tag reps Long Island’s most famous surf spot. Looks like they will come with an extra pair of soft blue laces, a colour which you can see elsewhere on this pair in the detailed images affter the jump. You can grab these now if you act fast, from Extra Butter.

Ok, so LeBron may have edged him out for season MVP honors, but other than that, it really was a “dream season” for Kobe Bryant, and now he will get another Nike signature model to help him to remember it. A few weeks ago, we gave you a look at this black/purple version of Kobe’s secondary shoe, the Zoom Dream Season, and now another colorway has emerged, as well as some additional looks at the first pair. Joining the black Dream Season will also be a white pair with a very simple white on white upper and some minimal gold accents. Rather than using the carbon fiber materials like the first pair shown, the white Dream Season will use a more traditional white leather upper. Similar to the black edition, the white kicks will also feature Kobe’s signature on one side of the heel and a “KB24″ logo on the other. Both pairs are expected to hit stores some time late this year. Stay tuned for more info and you can see multiple angles of both colorways after the jump. Via Dunk.Com.Cn

Not too many sneakerheads will be surprised to hear that the home and away 61 Points editions of the Zoom Kobe IV, worn by the Black Mamba during the NBA Finals, will be dropping at House of Hoops this summer. It was originally reported that these would not be released for retail, but after the big response, it had to be a no-brainer for Nike to give the people what they want. To the delight of many, the kicks will be released in both the white and black colorways, complete with gold scribbled text all over. The white “home” version will drop on Wednesday, July 22nd, with the black “away” kicks coming a couple weeks later on Wednesday, August 5th. As of now, it looks like House of Hoops may be the only place to get them, but we’ll be sure to let you know if that changes. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

Nike is keeping their nose to the grind as they continue to drop fresh new concepts for the classic Dunk silhouette. Images of two interesting Dunk High models have just emerged and it appears that there are still plenty of ways to help the design to evolve. One new Dunk High follows the lead of some other recent colorways, using a splatter pattern across the rear panel of the shoe. Even without the splatter, these kicks would still be among the bolder recent Dunk colorways, using shades of yellow, green, orange and dark grey on a variety of upper materials. The other new Dunk, keeps things a little simpler, but still offers an eye-catching look with a black/white/neon orange color scheme. Both pairs are expected to be a part of Nike’s fall ’09 collection, which means that they should probably be hitting select retailers in the near future. Keep reading for a look at the other colorway and more and we’ll keep you posted on specific release info. Via TheShoeGame.
