Heyday Footwear Summer 2009 Preview

Just a few days ago Darin Hager of Heyday Footwear released a few preview images of his Summer 09′ lineup while on Twitter. Of course SneakerNews was on the scene to tweet with Mr. Hager about his latest designs and immediately got the drop on what we can expect from him this summer. What you see above is called the Super Shift and it is a new sillouette from HeyDay that is releasing on July 1st. As easy as it is to get lost in the multitude of releases that spring up from traditional brands, any sneakerhead can take one look at the Super Shift from Heyday Footwear and understand that Heyday is an important new-comer to the game. The Super Shift will retail at a modest $165 and can be found via a list of retailers on Heyday Footwear’s site.

The Super Shift uses supple, tumbled leather with Heyday’s signature triple stitching and raw leather edges that take on character the more it is worn. Rubber cup soles with Heyday bottom logos, flex grooves in the forefoot and 360 degree stitching make for a completely secure mechanical bond from upper to sole.  Includes 2 sets of laces; 1 flat lace and a waxed cotton round lace. Full leather lining and a memory foam footbed make this the most comfortable kicks you will ever wear.

Nike Air Force 1 Low White Khaki Gum

This summer’s ongoing Air Force 1 theme has definitely been simple White uppers and midsoles joined by  only one accent color. We have shown you a number of Air Force 1′s that fall into this category and now another version has just dropped. This time around the iconic Air Force 1 adds Khaki accents to the White base, providing some subtle contrast on the Swoosh, laces and lining, as well as on the heel panels and the branding on the tongue label. Finishing off these kicks is a classic Gum midsole, always a fan favorite and a sure-fire way to give a shoe a classic edge. If you like what you see here, you can pick up a pair of these right now at VaultHarlem.

Barneys x Alife Everybody High Scratch

At this point, collaborations between Alife and Barneys are nothing new. We have already seen Alife team up with the renowned retailer for special editions of the Everybody Mid and High, as well as the Chaser, Kennedy and Court Cup. The latest batch of exclusives once again feature the Everybody High, this time in three colors, each with “scratched” leather uppers and the Barneys man logo hanging out on the heel. There will be a grey, a mustard and a burgundy version in the collection, all with light blue midsoles and laces and a second set of tonal laces included. If this looks like something you’d be interested in, be aware that the kicks are dropping today at all Barneys locations. Via Complex.

Taka Hayashi x Vans Vault No Quarter

Longtime Vans collaborator Taka Hayashi is about to drop a collection of new models with distinct Native American inspiration.  The Taka Hayashi x Vans No Quarter also incorporates military styling and 1960s Italian shoe design for a look that sets it apart from the other super-hightops of late.  These feature a familiar eyelet panel that resembles the Sk8-Hi, and they ride vulcanized rubber soles with identically coloured foxing bands.  There’s one each in tonal black or brown, green and orange.  Expect these soon, as Vans will start rolling out their Fall 2009 collection in advance of the back to school season.  via Freshngood

Air Jordan 1 Phat Low Curry Elephant Print

Last week, we gave you a look at another Air Jordan 1 Phat Low that flaunts some Curry-colored Elephant print on the upper and now this version has come along to take that concept even further. Say what you will about the never-ending stream of Air Jordan 1 releases, but these kicks definitely have something going for them. Some people think that, like the Air Jordan 1, the Elephant skin print might be a bit overused, but there’s something about the pattern covering the whole upper that actually looks kinda fresh. There is no word yet on a release date for these, but we’ll keep you posted. You can see some pics of the White/Curry version after the jump. Via HK-Kicks.

Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Dons & Jaspers Preview

We first started to get glimpses of the upcoming Kanye West x Louis Vuitton sneakers all the way back in January, and with the recent hysteria caused by the Air Yeezy’s, the intriguing collaboration has been kept pretty quiet. After giving the Air Yeezy its time to shine, now the Louis Vuitton collection is ready to claim the spotlight. The Yeezy is definitely an eye-catching sneaker, and although the LV kicks take more of a classy lifestyle approach than the athletic design of the Nike shoe, the shoes are anything but boring. Each model has a distinctly original look with a fashion-forward approach and a slick aesthetic. Via HS

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Pete from Premium Laces Bootlegged

Back in March, we gave you a look at the Air Force 1 Bespoke designed by Pete from Premium Laces and it looks like somebody liked it so much, they had to bootleg them. This pair recently popped up on eBay. They copied the design exactly, even down to the reflective 3M and the shoes are being passed off as the ones we showed you on Sneaker News. Unfortunately to this seller, we happen to know for a fact that they are indeed knock-offs. You can check out a comparison of the two after the jump and take this as a reminder to always beware of what you are bidding on.

Nike RT1 High Light Grey Dark Grey Light Yellow Available

We already previewed this striking Nike RT1 High colorway a few weeks ago, but now that their release is approaching, we have some new images for you to sink your teeth into. Like the Black/Azure pair, this second round of RT1′s gets a little bolder than the first batch. This pair sports a light grey upper with sections of dark grey on the Swoosh, around the toe and on the upper heel panel. The most noticeable attribute, however, has to be the bright yellow accents, laces and contrast stitching that really help to give the shoe an eye-catching look. If you are feeling the RT1 High, but have been waiting for some more daring colorways, these can already be scooped up on eBay.  Photos: Shaolin8

Nike Air Force 1 Low Kobe Bryant PEs Detail Photos

Before you get too excited, no, these Kobe Bryant Air Force 1 PE’s will not be available for retail, but the good news is that you can finally get an up close and personal view. The kicks were actually made for Kobe sometime back, but now for the first time, you can actually check out some of the finer details. As you can see, two different colorways were whipped up for Kobe. One features a color scheme very similar to the LeBron Dunkman series, using bright green along with white and a reflective 3M grey. The other Kobe Air Force 1 sports a simple white, black and grey palette with dark grey Elephant print covering the heel panel and a set of striped laces to finish off the look. So there can be no confusion regarding who’s kicks these are, Kobe’s logo appears on the heel of both pairs. As stated previously, these never went into production but currently, both pairs are available on ebay now.

Nike Air Hoop Structure LE White Navy Red Available

By now, you’ve probably seen a bunch of different versions of the Nike Air Hoop Structure model, but now we get our best look yet at some of the finer details of this intriguing hybrid design. The shoe features a smooth white leather upper with a full-grain navy leather underlay that is perforated only on the mid panels. Some sparing touches of red can be found on the tongue and heel branding, as well as surrounding the heel Air bubble on the inner half of each shoe. Now that we get to see these kicks from some new angles, it’s safe to say that they’re just as fresh as we expected them to be. If you’ve been waiting for a pair since they first started popping up, you can finally get them on eBay now. Photos: Shaolin8

Nike Hyperdunk Blue Red Yellow Philippines Colorway

The Nike Hyperdunk has recently been back in the spotlight thanks to the NFW editions and the McFly Hyperdunk Low. Now another version has emerged, this time taking its inspiration from the colors of the Philippino flag. The kicks sport a blue patent upper with red Flywire and additional red and yellow accents on the midsole and outsole, as well as the laces and tongue label. A white Swoosh finishes off the design, helping to tie the color scheme together. Much to the delight of some Pinoy sneakerheads out there, these kicks will be hitting select retailers like Warped soon, most likely in fairly limited numbers. Stay tuned for more and be sure to check out some more images after the jump.
