A lot of people are excited about the return of the beloved black/red colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High from the upcoming 60+ Bulls vs. Celtics DMP pack, but be aware that there will be some slight differences from the Retro version that dropped in 2001. For one thing, the shade of red used on the new version will be slightly different and is also a smoother type of leather. The shoe also seems to have been thinned down a little bit from the original and will come with both red and black laces instead of only black. Some other modifications are a bigger Wings logo on the ankle, and as you probably expected, the Jumpman logo has been added to the heel and will replace the Nike Air logo that was on the tongue label. I got the retros, gotta say I like the OG touches like the “nike air” on the tongue, and I think they are more like 3/4 not high, like the original AJ1

man i just found the receipt for those 2001 1’s they cost me only $86 w/ tax damn now those where days. Didn’t even now they dropped but when I saw em had to copp. OG’s all day

The new ones COME WITH black laces for both pairs (Breds and Celts)….they are thinner but overall, nothing to complain about…..asides from the damn price.

they just released here in germany… they come both with a second pair of laces in black and they are mad nice… and i do not really thing the shoes are thinned down that hard… no one will wear the shoes roped up like shown on the photo!
however… still prefer nike air labeled j’s… but it’s a good cop anyway!

TWO SHOES…A LEFT AND A RIGHT…..BOTH SHOES HAVE A RED SHOE LACE IN EM WHEN YOU GET EM…..AND JUST TO BE FANCY, THEY GIVE YOU 2 (TWO) BLACK SHOE LACES, SO THAT IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE LACES OUT OF BOTH SHOES AND HAVE EM MATCH, YOU HAVE TWO BLACK LACES TO DO IT, INSTEAD OF ONE, WHICH WOULD THROW YOU OFF AND LEAVE YOU LOOKING LOPSIDED. I prefer the DMP 1s. The retro is nice, but it’s a classic and should never be duplicated. Besides, the dmp 1s look more refreshing and much better than the retro…

its not that the new version is thinner they just are Factory laced making them look Skinny but im pretty sure they will look better once laced proper. anyways im feelin em and deff thinkin bout coppin considering i dont have the 01′ pair.

I’d say the ogs have lightened in colour over the years.
