With the recent release of the black nubuck Air Jordan XII and the upcoming Rising Sun edition, fans of the 12th installment of the Air Jordan series have a lot to be excited about. In addition to those versions, there will be another familiar colorway making its way back to stores soon. The “Flu Game” edition of the Air Jordan XII received its nickname because Mike was wearing them when he scored 38 points against the Utah Jazz in the 1997 playoffs, despite the fact that he was playing with a bad case of the flu. To commemorate the performance, this Retro version of the Flu Game Air Jordan XII will feature the year (97) and his scoring total (38) as well as a cartoon sick face placed between the laces on the tongue. As mentioned earlier, these classics will be hitting stores in November, but Osneaker has got you covered with a few pairs in stock already.

I love that these are being retro’d again! It is fantastic that they are using black nubuck instead of the full grain leather. These should have always been made with the black nubuck!!!

I wish they would have kept the leather material instead of changing it to nubuck.

The nubuck black is a smart change because it will have a cool contast and it will be a deeper black.

I’m so glad these are nubuck so people can really see that anyone with the OG or the 2003 retros are rockin real heat. Oh yeah, and i’ll pass on these.

For people bitching just relax. They will look fine in nubuck. The number thing is a little weird but not enough to kill the shoe. Also since when has Jordan changed anything because you guys have sand in your vagina.

I never liked the leather, now that it’s nubuck Im definately adding these. I would of anyway they came tho, IT’S THE FLU GAME! I watched that game, its a collectors item!

Im glad the 12′s are not one of my favorite Jordans WOW they they truly Fucked up this classic by putting suede on it instead of leather. Oh well expect to see more classics getting fucked up by JB.

Mixed feelings on this one. I expected them to be the actual Playoff Away XIIs that we formerly knew and loved as the ‘Flu Games’, but it looks like JB took the name back lol
The numbering thing is slightly awkward, but the face is kinda neat. I guess I’ll still get em, but they can’t hold a candle to the OGs and they’re now below the rising sun joints ime

I actually like the suade upper. Never realy liked the OG VII(too plastic looking). The suade really makes the shoe look better IMO. In any case, it is better for me if I will me able to cop these when the price drops to like $105.
