To the delight of many old-school Nike-heads, the Air Trainer releases have been plentiful lately. The floodgates opened with the introduction of the new Trainer 1, which sparked an Air Trainer/Bo Jackson renaissance. Known for putting the Trainer line on the map back in the 80’s, Nike has recently paid tribute to Jackson with a bunch of Bo-inspired Trainer and non-Trainer models. In addition to Retro models like the Medicine Ball Air Trainer III and the upcoming OG Air Trainer SC, Nike has also made a recent splash with the Tecmo Bo editions of the Air Trainer II. Now it appears that the Air Trainer 1 will be joining in the fun with a royal blue upper that’s covered with the pixelated “Tecmo” design that we’ve seen on some other recent models. You’ll notice that the tongue label sports the same baseball Bo character that was on early sample versions of the Kansas City Royals Blazer High. Let’s hope this time they decide to include it on the retail version. Release details for these are still unknown, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
