Nike Air Trainer SC OG Colorway Bo Jackson August 09
The recent Nike Trainer renaissance has already seen the re-release of some classic models, as well as the introduction of the new Trainer 1 model. At the center of the recent Trainer campaign is an ongoing tribute to Bo Jackson, the man who put Nike Trainers on the map. In addition to the Tecmo Bo collection that we have previewed, we will also see the return of the Air Trainer SC in its original colorway. We gave you a look at this upcoming Retro release last month, and now with the drop getting closer by the day, here are some new detailed pics of the shoe so that you can get a better appreciation of these classics while you’re waiting for them to hit stores. These are expected to arrive some time in August, so start keeping your eyes open for one of the premiere Nike Retro releases of the year and if you’re really anxious, you can reserve your pair now on eBay.

Jordan Jumpman Pro Low White Navy Blue

The Jordan Jumpman Pro lends itself well to simple colourways, which is perfect for a team-oriented shoe.  The latest edition skips on the black and white duo in favour of a colour you should ‘never’ mix with black.  The pair pictured above features a clean mix of white tubmled leather on the forefoot and navy blue suede on the eyelets and suede.  This combo looks excellent with the metallic silver Jumpman logo on the lower ankle.  We’ll update you with more release info as it becomes available.  via FlightClub

Rick Griffin x Vans Vault Old Skool + Mid Skool

The latest in a line of posthumous ‘collaborations’, the Rick Griffin x Vans Vault collection is a suitable tribute to an icon of American pop art.  Here are the Old Skool and Mid Skool releases, both carrying a white-on-black aesthetic.  The Old Skools (the lowtops) feature a Hawaii-inspired graphic pattern on the side panels and ‘aloha’ on the heels.  The Mid Skools opt for a mix of black perforated leather and suede, instead including illustrations on the tongue, insole and outsole.  Both of these are available today from Flauge.

John Maeda x Reebok ERS 5000 Maeda Reduce

John Maeda’s mathematically-inclined Reebok designs have shown us how far patterns can go on sneakers.  For his latest effort, Maeda got back to basics and literally took a page from his own book.  The Reebok ERS 5000 Maeda Reduce doesn’t look like a fractal or a chalkboard, but it does immediately catch your eye.  These are done in a shiny metallic silver leather with just a single ‘equation’ on the toe.  His first of The Laws of Simplicity sums it up nicely: “The simplest way to achieve simplicity is through thoughtful reduction.”  These are available at select Reebok retailers worldwide.  via HB

Collections: Nike SB Dunks Power Z

You would be hard-pressed to find too many collections of SB Dunks that are more thorough than this one. Of course, there’s some classic High models missing, but when it comes to the Lows, this collector has got it where it counts. It’s obvious that Power Z has either been on the SB train since the beginning or has dropped a lot of scratch putting this assortment together. Not only will you get a look at some highly sought-after individual models like the Tiffany’s and Heiny’s, but there are also several complete sets, such as the Medicom series, the City Pack, the Supremes and all seven Be True To Your School colorways. Take some time and go through several pages of blazing SB Dunk heat after the jump. Via SC/Power Z.

Nike Air Penny II Retro QS Atlantic Blue Available

Quickstrikes can be a love-hate sort of arrangement.  On one hand, sneakerheads love limited edition kicks and waiting in line and/or pulling strings can be fun.  On the other hand, what if you don’t get what you’re after (gasp!)?  With release set for Saturday, we’re seeing the Atlantic blue Nike Air Penny II Retro QS already available.  These new photos reveal that the outsole is in fact the same barely-translucent blue that appeared on the 1996 original, a welcome clarification indeed.  If you’re feelin’ the shark’s fin and ocean blue design, paddle over to eBay now.  Photos Via neo122401.

Nike Sportswear Fall/Holiday 2009 Lookbook

The Nike Sportswear Fall/Holiday ’09 lookbook has just found its way onto the web, and although there are no real surprises here, it’s still a nice reminder of the strong lineup that’s on the way later this year. As you scroll through, keep an eye out for some pretty fresh kicks on the horizon like the Gucci-inspired Dunk High Supreme Spark designed by Clark Kent, as well as some other Dunk models from the upcoming East vs. West collection. Also on display are a number of Air Max 1 colorways, a couple of Air Max 90 Current Huaraches and a number of nice women’s models. Take a look through the pics and we’ll keep you posted on release dates as the respective drops approach. Via STREEThing.

Air Jordan Flight 45 Air Jordan XII Taxi Inspired

If you saw our Jordan Flight 45 Holiday ’09 preview, then you know that the shoe will be released this winter in two classic Air Jordan XII-inspired colorways. Here we get a detailed look at the “Taxi” version, which features a White leather upper with a Black toe that sports the same material as the beloved Air Jordan model. As extra touches, the buckles on the strap are Metallic Gold and the upper even has the same stitching pattern as the originals. At the moment, reactions to the Flight 45 are pretty mixed, but this version looks to have a lot going for it. You can check out a bunch more pics after the jump and stay tuned for more images of the “Playoff” version coming soon. Via FlightClub.Tistory.

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium Un Hemp Orange

Nike SB appears to have been picking up some steam lately, thanks in large part to the fact that they have gotten back to some of the creative approaches that made the line so popular in the first place. Images recently surfaced on Colmilludo of a “Mystery Dunk” that was getting a lot of SB-heads excited, and we have since learned that this shoe is being called the Orange Un-Hemp and will possibly be a Holiday ’09 Quickstrike. Hemp Dunks hold a special place in the hearts of a lot of Nike SB fans, and these will no-doubt be greeted with a warm reception when they drop. We’ll be sure to stay on top of this development and keep you in the loop with more info as it becomes available. Via NSB.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII White on White

New images of another Air Max LeBron VII colorway have recently popped up from an unlikely source. These images were recently posted on Flicker by Cynroux, an artist who was given these super clean LeBron VII samples to customize for an upcoming Nike project. There is no word yet on whether or not these will be one of the colorways to eventually drop or if they were just created in white to provide a blank canvas for the artist. White on white is never a bad look, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that these make their way into stores. Stay tuned for the latest on the Air Max LeBron VII and you can check out some well-connected young ladies taking these kicks for a test drive after the jump. Via NikeLeBron.
