After winning back some disheartened fans with some solid recent releases, Nike SB hopes to keep the momentum rolling with their new August lineup. Obviously, the most highly anticipated of the bunch is the Zoom P-Rod III, which will drop in both Black and White colorways next month. Joining the new P-Rods will be two new SB Dunks, the Green/Yellow/White Packers Dunk Mid and the Red/White/Gold Anchorman Dunk Low model. Rounding out the August collection will be a Military Blue/White Zoom Bruin SB and a Dark Grey/Volt Zoom Classic SB. All of these styles with the exception of the P-Rod III, which drops on August 8th, are available now at select Nike SB retailers like Premier.

Yesterday, we gave you a look at two new colorways of the JS 3 Tongue Attitude High designed for adidas by Jeremy Scott, and if those weren’t too much for you, take a gander at these stunners. Jeremy has whipped up two new versions of the adidas Superstar High, both with some dazzling sequin uppers. One pair sports a metallic silver sequin upper that looks something like a disco ball as the light reflects off of it. The other pair flaunts an even bolder look with a purple sequin upper that features hints of just about every color of the rainbow blended into the design. As with many of the Jeremy Scott concoctions, these are both love ‘em or hate ‘em type styles, so if you fall into the love ‘em category, you can turn some heads by picking up a pair at PackerShoes now.

To the delight of many old-school Nike-heads, the Air Trainer releases have been plentiful lately. The floodgates opened with the introduction of the new Trainer 1, which sparked an Air Trainer/Bo Jackson renaissance. Known for putting the Trainer line on the map back in the 80′s, Nike has recently paid tribute to Jackson with a bunch of Bo-inspired Trainer and non-Trainer models. In addition to Retro models like the Medicine Ball Air Trainer III and the upcoming OG Air Trainer SC, Nike has also made a recent splash with the Tecmo Bo editions of the Air Trainer II. Now it appears that the Air Trainer 1 will be joining in the fun with a royal blue upper that’s covered with the pixelated “Tecmo” design that we’ve seen on some other recent models. You’ll notice that the tongue label sports the same baseball Bo character that was on early sample versions of the Kansas City Royals Blazer High. Let’s hope this time they decide to include it on the retail version. Release details for these are still unknown, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted. These should drop later this year, but you can grab samples in US mens size 9 today from eBay. Photos: verbdws

Last month, we brought good news that the Air Jordan X will be making a Retro comeback this March in the classic White/Black/True Red Chicago Bulls colorway. Apparently, we almost got these last year as part of the Air Jordan X/XIII Countdown Pack. This colorway was originally considered for the Air Jordan X edition of the pack, but was eventually replaced by the Dark Shadow version instead. The above sneaker is a look see sample, one of only six that were produced. It sports the White/Black/True Red color scheme and has Jordan’s comeback number, “45″, stitched onto the ankle. This is just a left shoe sample, available without a partner on eBay, but would still make a nice addition to a lot of collectors’ Air Jordan displays. You can check out a bunch more pics after the jump while you’re waiting for the Retro version to hit stores in March.

We’ve already seen numerous sample colorways of the upcoming Air Max LeBron VII with the authenticity of some coming seriously in question. The latest images to emerge give us a look at the White/Red colorway that we showed you in two of our previews last month. While the color blocking was nearly identical on both, one featured a Flywire upper and the other sported a White woven style. These new photos now give us a better look at the super-clean woven version. The shoe goes with an all White upper with various splashes of Red spread around the design, including the Swoosh and the full Air Max sole unit. With a fall release looming, it shouldn’t be long before we start seeing a bunch more images of the shoe without having to question their legitimacy. Via VaultHarlem.

Thursday Throwback by: GourmetKickz
Year: 2005
Name: Air Force 1 Premium
Style #: 313249-611
Colors: Varsity Red /White – Varsity Maize
NikeAirForce1.com 1Thology Profile
“This is how we take the old from new, the new to the old, the old from the new!” Yes we’re about to take you back….. Way back…… into time! You really do have to admit 2005 was one heck of a year for the AF1. If you weren’t collecting Forces in 05′ you surely missed out on a lot! That’s ok though as this is the purpose of the Thursday Throwback, to fill in those important gaps in your life and more importantly, the gaps in your closet! What you see here is one of those sneakers that should go somewhere near the top shelf and only come out in 70 degree or better weather with no sign of rain. This sneaker is from the 2005 “Hoop Pack” which paid homage to the game of basketball by releasing a handful of sneakers colored up to match certain NBA teams. This particular AF1 from the “Hoop Pack” was dubbed the Atlanta Hawks for obvious reasons. Unfortunately this sneaker was only released in Asia and became quite hard to get a hold of. This sneaker stood out from the pack due its thorough use of patent leather. To top it off varsity mazie contrast stitching is used throughout the shoe. This vibrant color is also used on the quilted sockliner, a then newly introduced feature on premium AF1′s. Rounding out the clean design are varisty red nubuck side panels, a sublte touch which breaks up the patent leather upper. Nike also used the tongue tag as an opportunity to pay homage to the hardwood by marking it up with the old school “Force” logo from 1982. If you love the game of basketball and seek to amass a collection that will stand the test of time, these Hoop Pack “Hawks” are a must have, but will surely be hard to find!

On the heels of Kobe Bryant’s successful tour of Asia, Jordan Brand will be hosting an Asian tour of their own with Chris Paul visiting several destinations in China. The visit will take place the first week in August to coincide with the release of the special China edition of the CP3.II that we showed you yesterday. Chris will be visiting the cities of Tianjin and Guangzhou beginning on August 2nd to meet with young Chinese b-ballers to talk tips, techniques and the importance of sportsmanship and giving back to the community. The good will won’t stop there either as Paul also has a charity event and a basketball court dedication on the agenda as well. The young superstar and Olympic Gold medalist is understandably excited about the chance to further spread his international wings and had this to say about the upcoming trip.
“I’m looking forward to being in China again and getting a chance to see firsthand how young point guards handle their skills on the court. I understand these young players from all over China are very talented and will be joining me in Tianjin and Guangzhou to demonstrate their skills. The runner-up team at last year’s Take on the World Tournament was from Guangzhou and I can still remember how well they played. I look forward to seeing their progress and will encourage them to improve not only in their basketball skills but also in life, so that they can excel both on and off the court.”
In related news, the China edition of the CP3.II that was originally reported to be a China exclusive will actually be hitting U.S. House of Hoops locations after all. They drop in China on August 3rd, so you might want to keep an eye out next week.

It’s been like Christmas in summer lately at Packer Shoes, with a slew of boxes arriving full of some very solid August Nike releases. The standouts of the bunch are some Bo Jackson themed kicks that have been eagerly anticipated by a lot of sneakerheads since preview pics first started popping up a few months back. Both colorways of the Air Trainer II LE with the “Tecmo Bo” tongue labels are in stock, as well as the Kansas City Royals colorway of the Blazer High with the pixelated design on the upper. Rounding out the Bo theme is the return of the Medicine Ball Air Trainer III that he helped to immortalize back in the late 80′s.
The popular Air Penny 1/2 Cent model has also just arrived in a slick Black on Black color scheme with Metallic Silver accents, and sticking with the basketball theme, you will also find the OG Air Structure Triax ’91 colorway of the Air Hoop Structure hybrid model. Joining those is the Air Max Abasi ACG boot that we previewed a few weeks back. Take a look at some closeups after the jump and get over to PackerShoes once you make some difficult decisions on how to spend your sneaker money this August.

The Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache is bringing the heat over the rest of 2009. A vibrant red edition on the way mimics the tonal black version that released a little while ago, but it’s two classics that are set to steal the show. Like its Hufquake counterpart, the DQM ‘Bacon’ design resurrects a legendary collaboration. These come complete with an array of fleshy tones and don an ‘East’ tongue tag, presumably the compliment to Huf’s ‘West’. These are coming to retailers for the holiday season but you can already grab a sample in US men’s size 9 on eBay.

The sneaker world was in a frenzy a few weeks back upon learning of Dwyane Wade’s signing with Jordan Brand after a less than spectacular shoe history with former brand, Converse. Sneakerheads are foaming at the mouth at the thought of a Wade signature model from Jordan Brand and the good possibility of some incredible Bred colorways. Dwyane recently visited Jordan headquarters in Oregon and was greeted with this “W3lCOM3 HOM3″ shirt that uses his number “3″ as the “E’s” in the text. Along with the sneaker community, Wade is also understandably excited about his future with Jordan and was quite possibly already talking design concepts during his trip to Beaverton. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on all the latest Dwyane Wade/Jordan Brand developments. Via D.Wade’s Twitter.
