A dozen years later, and the Nike Air Max 97 still looks quite futuristic. This latest edition capitalizes on the sleek design by adding just a small twist to an otherwise tame palette. The upper is all black, save a silver strip of reflective 3M material, a colour repeated inside the signature long Air pockets. The tiny touches of blue and red might be enough for a classy design, but Nike added a sparkly effect to the patent leather mudguard, taking this release to another level. They’re available now and you can cop yours today from Caliroots.

How much longer the Nike Zoom Kobe IV can keep rollin’ is up in the air, but if the releases are all as strong as this, it might keep floating like his fallaway jumper. This edition features a clean look, with a black upper accented with royal blue and just a tiny bit of red. Completing the Kobe aesthetic is a snakeskin toe that screams ‘Black Mamba’. Still no word on the release date, but check out the detailed photos after the jump. via FlightClub

We’ve already brought you some thorough looks at two colorways of the upcoming Jordan Hallowed Ground and so far, the response seems to be pretty favorable. In addition to the White/Varsity Red/Black and Black/Varsity Red/White models, there will also be two other colorways in the first batch of Hallowed Ground releases. Both new versions sport the same midsole with a Black to Neon Yellow gradient splatter design moving from front to back. One uses a White upper and the other is solid Black, both with additional Neon Yellow accents on the tongue branding. If you’re feeling this slick new basketball model from Jordan Brand, keep an eye out in early October when all four colorways will be hitting retailers, and for now, you can get a closer look at the whole lineup after the jump.

Even if Rocawear decides to go retro, Nike was way ahead of them on the Dynasty. A classic basketball silhouette first released in 1981, the Nike Dynasty High is somewhere between the Sky Force and Vandal. This upcoming pair for Fall 2009 rocks a killer black, white and infrared palette. We expect a bunch of clean colourways for this diamond in the rough, so check back with Sneaker News for updates. via Ty/LDRS

A few weeks back, we gave you a look at a Terminator High model that uses a very similar design and color concept. Like the Terminator, this women’s Vandal High model sports the same heather grey t-shirt-like material on the upper with a black taped seam design outlining all of the edges. The shoe also features a white Swoosh and midsole, but the most intriguing addition is the inclusion of both red and purple removable straps. Ladies, if you like what you see, you can scoop up a pair right now at grip and keep reading for a detailed look at this creative style after the jump.

Here’s another reason to love the internet. Nike typically saves the best Air Max Light releases for Europe only, but you can grab these two at your leisure thanks to the marvels of modern technology. Pictured above are two new pairs that share a common clean style. With a mostly white upper and midsole, a single colour stars as the accent. There’s one in a deep blue, while the other is a rich red tone. You can grab the blue ones, red ones or both of these today from Caliroots.

Even if you’re somewhere sneakers are frowned upon, true Nikeheads know this shoe doubles down on comfort and elegance. The Nike Air Elan is back in two ultra clean colours. One’s all black, the other all white, but they’re far from boring. Both have lush leather uppers complete with the Elan’s signature perforated Swoosh outline. The white on white and black on black are both available today from Caliroots.

Feride Uslu wasn’t satisfied adding her Uslu Airlines touch to one of the best in Nike’s 1World Air Force 1 series. Here’s another sneaker from one of the world’s preeminent makeup artists. The Reebok Courtee Mid by Feride Uslu appears to be a white shoe with metallic gold patterns overlaid. When the lights go out, the gold glows in the dark, creating a neon green on black look. Look for these about a year after the Uslu AF1, March 2010. via Uslu’s colette blog

Common Projects is well known for applying premium materials to clean designs. Nylon has rarely looked as good as it does on their new Safari Boot hightops. These feature a chukka-like construction with metal eyelets. The standout feature is a gold stamp on the inner heel detailing each pair’s serial number and size. Both the grey pair pictured above and a white edition you’ll see after the jump are among the many new releases available now from Oki-Ni.

The Nike SB Zoom Air Veloce is frequently overshadowed by high profile Dunks and other coveted releases, but these are sure to gain some extra tradition for the SB standby. With a mix of black, browns and orange, these somewhat resemble the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Vapors’ from a few years back. There are alot of colours here, but they’re all somewhat earthy, so they’ll do well with the fashions that coincide with their Holiday 2009 release. via N-SB.org

Vans recently fused two of their most successful models together in the Sk8-Hi and Mountain Edition High to make the Moda Hi, which they have collaborated with California streetwear brand, Crooks & Castles, on. Now it looks like Vans will work with New York’s Acapulco Gold on another Moda Hi that is scheduled for a March 2010 release. The Acapulco Gold collaboration on the Moda Hi is clean and simple and features minimal branding from AG. The sneaker carries a simple White, Grey, and Green colorway that uses a mix of leather and suede. via Hypebeast
