As you may already know, in what might seem like a odd pairing, Jeff Staple has partnered with Airwalk to create a new collaborative collection to be sold in Payless shoe stores. To kick-off the endeavor, Airwalk and Staple hosted a Past.Present.Now launch event at New York’s Openhouse gallery where they showed off some of Airwalk’s classic models, as well as the 9 new styles designed by STPL. Over 400 guests were in attendance to show their support to the project with DJ Neil Armstrong providing the sounds for the evening. The Staple Design x Airwalk collection will be available in nationwide Payless stores and on their website beginning August 11th. For further info on this intriguing team-up, you can check out www.stplxairwalk.com. Via Freshness.

Last week, we gave you a peek at this striking new Jordan CP3.II model along with the unfortunate news that they were being released exclusively in China. Now that some people have gotten their hands on this colorway, we have some new images that show the incredible details that can be found on this version of the CP3.II. The shoe sports a White leather upper with splashes of Black and Neptune Blue on various sections of the design. What really makes these kicks special though is the incredibly intricate decorative graphics that adorn the tongue and heel, adding some Asian flavor thanks to the style and imagery of the designs, as well as some slick Metallic Gold highlights. Sadly, most of us will never get our hands on a pair, but you can check out the finer details of the shoe in some great closeup pics after the jump. Via NT.

There are a lot of people in both the skate and sneaker game who are excited about the new Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III. We’ve already shown you previews of P-Rod’s third signature shoe from Nike SB and now we get a look at the boldest version yet. This colorway features a tonal Sport Red upper with sections of suede, smooth leather and a durable quilted material. Accents are provided by a Black midsole and lining, as well as some touches of white on the tongue and heel branding and the stitching on the upper. For those who remember back to 2003, these are reminiscent of the True Red/Black Vamps Dunk Low SB. These are expected to hit select Nike SB accounts such as Poets soon, so make sure to keep an eye out if you’ve been waiting for a crack at these. No word either on the wooden boxes these early pairs have been seen in.

Hot on the heels of the super-cool Nike x Transformers 2 pack, Nike will also be releasing another three pack of kicks inspired by another classic 80′s cartoon turned summer blockbuster. You may have already seen our preview of the Cobra Commander Alpholution and now we get a look at another installment of the collection. The deadly white-suited Cobra ninja, Storm Shadow, will be the inspiration for the second shoe in the pack, a mostly White Zoom Sharkalaid with some minimal Black and Red accents and a clear outsole. Like the Cobra Commander Alpholution, these kicks feature the Cobra insignia on the tongue and a Swoosh x Cobra logo on the insoles. These are expected to drop some time in August to coincide with the release of the G.I. Joe movie and will of course be packaged in a retro-looking G.I. Joe toy box similar to the Transformers 2 Pack. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

On his recent Nike Basketball Asia Tour, Kobe Bryant stopped by Singapore to not only check up on the local basketball players but also to recieve these custom Nike Dunk High’s from arguably the best sneaker customizer in the game, SBTG. SBTG who recently released an Original Collection of custom College Nike Dunk’s, created this special 1 of 1 “Varsity Bones” pair for Kobe Bryant, that takes inspiration from the idea of “What if?”. Although Kobe went straight to the NBA out of Lower Merion High School, he has said on a number of occasions he would’ve gone to Duke, had he chosen to go to College. This SBTG x Nike Dunk High features the Duke colorway as well as some graphics and insignia of both Bryant and Duke. This pair was given to KB24 aka the Black Mamba in his own shoe size of a US 14 and came in a special wooden box. via STREEThing

In case you’re not a regular in New York’s Lower East Side, that’s ALIFE’s A.R.C. Sports storefront at 157 Rivington St. The somewhat Supreme-like script in the window is a reminder that this Saturday, August 1st will see the launch of the A.R.C. x Nike Dunk High Supreme TZ. These have a dope mix of black suede and a tonal check pattern on the upper, accented with a white Swoosh and A.R.C. circular insignia on the rear quarter. Last but certainly not least is the 0.44 Sticky Rubber outsole in a delicious gum hue. ALIFE will have a free ‘Black, White, Gum & Bang!’ tee for the first 100 buyers and then some to sell after that. The shoe drops at 2pm, followed by a party at A.R.C.’s courtyard at 3. They will see an ‘extended’ release at other Tier Zero retailers soon thereafter.

Sneaker customizer, AKALAZY, has customized a special Nike Air Force 1 for the King of Air Force 1′s, DJ Clark Kent. This custom by Lazy use an Air Force 1 Low as a base for his custom and the result is a gorgeous all over denim AF1 that presumably only DJCK will own. The entire upper is covered in denim that is stained and a bit distressed, the Swoosh uses another peice of denim, and the stitching used on the shoe comes in a bright Yellow color. The only size you’ll be able to find these in is a US 13 and that’s if you know DJ Clark Kent, otherwise you can always try hitting up AKALAZY for a pair of customs.

Between all the Nike Zoom Kobe IV colorways that have already dropped and the infinite possibilities offered by Nike iD, we have already seen just about every colorway of the shoe that you can think of. Just when you thought Nike was done putting out new versions, this pair emerges with a simple look that really does the shoe justice. This Zoom Kobe IV sports a basic White/Purple color scheme that looks like something that would have been right at home matching the Black Mamba’s Lakers uniform last season. The specific release info on these is still unclear, but if you like what you see, MarqueeSole has some in stock already.
