The task of legitimizing the often scrutinized Fusion line seems to be falling to the Air Jordan Force Fusion IV. While a lot of sneakerheads have no love for Fusions, the Air Jordan Force IV seems to have a good shot at converting some of the naysayers. The Air Jordan IV is one of the most beloved models in the storied Air Jordan catalog and this hybrid model does a great job staying true to the original look. The use of original colorways is another big selling point for the Fusion IV’s, and as you can see the classic White/Cement color scheme is looking as crisp as ever. These kicks are not scheduled for release until August 1st, but VaultHarlem already has some in stock and so do some eBay sellers. Keep reading after the jump for a look at some more pics, including a shot of the two classics that were combined to create this new model. Additional photos: 95Soleman.

Last week, we got a look at an exciting new Hemp Dunk SB model that is apparently waiting in the wings for a release later this year. The original “Hemp” Dunks from 2004 are now regarded as classics and with five years passing since their release, it seems like as good a time as any to bring the concept back for more. This version gets a little more complicated than the originals, which sported the hemp material on the shoe’s entire upper. This version throws in more additional accent colors and also breaks up the color blocking with a combination of orange suede and hemp on the upper. These kicks also feature an orange midsole, as well as a black Swoosh and some splashes of brown and red on various sections of the shoe, including the spotted lining. These are currently slated for a Holiday 2009 release, so we’ll be sure to keep you up on the latest info regarding this eagerly anticipated drop. Via SneakersBr.

We gave you a look at this Dunk Low SB sample last August, but at the time, the story behind them was still unclear. Now, the rumor is that this Dunk SB model was inspired by last summer’s superhero blockbuster, Iron Man, and was possibly intended for a summer release to coincide with the opening of the movie. Obviously, for whatever reasons, that never happened, but now we get a look at what could have been. Images of this sample version have recently emerged, and as you can see, while the kicks do sport Iron Man’s trademark red and gold, a healthy dose of black leather was also used on the upper to tone down the look some. As far as we know, there are no plans to ever release these, but with an Iron Man sequel currently in the works, Nike SB will certainly get a second chance to make them relevant, so we’ll let you know if they decide to drop the Iron Man Dunks after all. The Air Penny 1/2 Cent hybrid model made a big splash this past winter and with more new colorways on the way, the popularity of the shoe will surely continue to grow. With all of the recent Air Penny Retro models being re-released, the 1/2 Cent came along at the perfect time to effectively tie it all together in a way that still looks very slick and organic. We’ve shown you a couple previews of this Metallic Silver/Black version and now we get our best look yet at the shoe from multiple angles. It also looks like the Metallic Silver 1/2 Cent will be moved up from its original October release date to instead drop sometime in September, so if you’ve been waiting patiently for these, you should now be able to get your hands on a pair a little sooner. Back in February, Nike released an NBA All-Star pack of two Quickstrike Air Force 1′s that were co-designed by DJ Clark Kent and Starks Laces. The pack featured black and white versions of the Air Force 1, both featuring purple, orange and yellow accents as a nod to the game’s host city, Phoenix. Now it appears that a third shoe was also created by the same design team, but this one was not sold for retail. Instead, this version was given out as a player exclusive to some of the All-Star’s taking part in the weekend’s events. Aside from the white upper with Phoenix Suns accent colors, this Air Force 1 also sports an embossed “09″ on the upper, as well as a visible Air unit in the heel and a special pair of matching Starks laces. As another added bonus, the insoles are graced with a printed excerpt from a classic Notorious B.I.G. rhyme, giving this Air Force 1 a clever extra touch. These will never be released and will be hard to find anywhere for that matter, but at least you can get a good look at the kicks after the jump. Via Starks.

The United States Basketball Select Team concluded their minicamp with a Blue and White scrimmage this past Sunday, July 25th at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Twenty NBA players attended the minicamp to try and improve their stock at making the United States Men’s Basketball Senior Team which already boasts, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, and more. Of these twenty USAB Select Team attendees, the most notable were Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay, Andre Iguodala, Derrick Rose, O.J. Mayo, and more. Kevin Durant who some are saying all but locked himself up a spot to represent the USA next year during the World Championship Games in Turkey was seen wearing a pair of what looks to be the Nike KD 2′s in a Team USA colorway of White, Navy, and Red. The KD2 appears to feature a midfoot strap all while keeping a silhouette that is similar to that of the KD1. Additionally various other Nike Basketball athletes such as Rudy Gay and Andre Iguodala who were seen rocking a pair of the Nike Air Zoom Sharkalaids’s and Nike Hyperize’s respectively. Other notable sneakers seen on the court during the scrimmage were Rusell Westbrook’s Nike Flight Club’s in a Team USA colorway as well as O.J. Mayo and his pair of Nike Hypermax’s.
