A few days ago, we gave you a sneak peek at the latest project in the works from Royalefam and SBTG. The Varsity Bones series was recently in the spotlight thanks to the special “What If?” 1 of 1 design that was just given to Kobe Bryant during his visit to Singapore. The concept behind Varsity Bones is fictional underdog teams and now, it’s time for the Folsom Prison Blues to be recognized. For this design, the Dunk High has been given a beat up selvage denim look with plenty of stylish touches like printed text, a zipper-up lace cover and a black/white American flag design on the toe box and ankle. As always with an SBTG shoe, there’s a lot going on here, so be sure to take a close look at the detailed pics after the jump and get an appreciation for the detail and craftsmanship that obviously went into this unique creation. For those interested in scooping up a pair, they will be available beginning August 9th @10PM EST from Royalefam.

man, it must be really easy to criticize on someone who customizes shoes for a living… especially when that person who’s criticizing has completely nothing to do with the art of customizing shoes. art is art and i think, from a person who doesn’t customizes shoes, these shoes are sick. they kind of remind me of that old school gutter punk era…

Would absolutely cop the dunk lows, however for $700 that’s a lot too much!

Haha at all the morons at the top of these comments like “burn them”, or “wack”. Genious!! you guys should like, work for a sneaker website and, ya know, critisize sneakers! If you dont like them, dont say “CRAP” like the genious in comment #2 just open the next story about some shitty Supras and keep it moving; these are amazing. Thanks SGTG keep up the ill work.

Buyers Beware! If your into the limited edition kicks, make sure you setup a PayPal account : Paypal allows you to purchase the kicks with a couple clicks on your mouse (mighty mouse for you apple fans). Without the account your really don”t stand a chance getting the sneakers. Trust me, I know from experience

These are raw. Hella original. Distressed denim? Johnny Cash lyrics? Custom laces? Gotta think about $650 for the highs but….I’ma pass, that’s too much. I’d rather buy a pair of Supreme Blazers for the same price.
