No, these are not Canal Street fakes. This Air Jordan III was made as a wear-test sample back in 2006 and never made it past these early prototype stages. The shoe features a more simplistic version of the classic shoe, controversially ditching the Elephant print all together in favor of a white on white leather upper. The only accents are provided by some splashes of red on the midsole and outsole, as well as the tongue, ankle collar and a few other choice spots. Obviously, this 2006 sample never went into mass production, but it’s rumored that 8 pairs were made at the time. Let us know if you’re disappointed or relieved that these kicks never made it into retail stores and if you’re ready to drop a grip on this pair, they’re available for sale now from jigsaw2333 on eBay.
