Jeff Staple x New Balance M575J White Pigeon Release Recap

Saturday marked the release of Jeff Staple’s New Balance M575J ‘White Pigeon’.  New York’s Reed Space has seen its fair share of exclusive releases and got a part of the 1077 pair/26 store shipment.  In the photos, you get a good feel for how well the creamy off-white suede and white leather play with one another, serving as a perfect base for melon orange accents.  Like the Pigeon Dunk from 2005, your best bet in getting these is probably the ‘bay.  via TSG

Celebrity Feet: Lebron James Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Jaspers

It seems that everyone just has to have a pair of these Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Jasper’s, we’ve seen one NBA player, Carmelo Anthony, with them on already, and now the league’s reigning MVP, Lebron James, was spotted with his pair when he sat courtside during the Washington Mystics vs. Connecticut Sun game last week in D.C. James who was in D.C. to promote his new movie, More Than a Game, took a court side seat to watch the Mystics with some of his friends who also happen to be in the new movie.

Thursday Throwback 2004 Nike Air Force 1 JD Sports Cowboys

Thursday Throwback by: GourmetKickz

Year: 2005
Name: Air Force 1 JD
Style #: 306509-402
Colors:
Midnight Navy / Medium Grey – White – Photoblue
NikeAirForce1.com 1Thology Profile

“This is how we take the old from new, the new to the old, the old from the new!” Yes we’re about to take you back….. Way back…… into time! Once again this week’s Thursday Throwback takes us overseas to the UK’s JD Sports. Last week’s throwback showcased a predominantly white AF1 with high end materials, as you can see this week’s throwback shares some similarities. The above AF1 released in the Spring of 2004 and provided collectors with a perfectly color blocked low top to start the season off right. The JD Sports wizards of colorways and materials decided to adorn this AF1 with supple pebbled white leather and loads of nubuck. The swooshes are a perfect shade of medium grey and while they are nubuck they terminate at a matching pebbled leather heel tab. The side panels and toebox are perfectly balanced with midnight navy nubuck with matching midsole stitching. The embroidered accents use a rare color of blue that Nike calls photoblue. This bright aqua-like accent adds just the right amount of flare to this perfectly balanced sneaker. This sneaker earned the nickname “Cowboys” as its colorway is suspiciously similar to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. Leave to the brits to honor U.S. Football the right way, go figure! Once again for those who began collection after JD Exclusives were all the rage, “step your game up!” and GET SOME! But good luck finding this particular pair as classics like this are surely recognized by throngs of OG Collectors who dare not let loose their grasp of these beauties.

Nike Dunk Low CL Metallic Silver Red Ultraman

A few years back, Nike helped to celebrate the 40th anniversary of cult Japanese superhero Ultraman with a special pair of Nike Free 5.0′s. Between those and the UNLV Be True To Your School Dunk SB Highs that also adopted the Ultraman nickname thanks to the color scheme, this is something of an ongoing theme, even though the Free 5.0 was the only pair officially inspired by the classic character. Last month, we gave you a look at a new Dunk High model that drew some Ultraman comparisons and now it appears that this Dunk Low may be the closest match yet to the hero’s trademark color scheme. The shoe sports a Metallic Silver and Red leather upper with a perforated area around the heel. This Dunk also features a Black tongue and outsole, as well as a pair of fresh patterned laces. If you’re feeling the Ultraman connection or just like the colorway, you can cop a pair now from 95soleman on eBay.

Nike Dunk High Premium Sail Total Orange Black

You can’t go wrong with Nike Dunk High Premiums and their Zoom Air insoles.  This latest release relies on interesting leather treatments that enhance the bright orange hits.  The side panels are a tightly packed grid of perforations, while criss-crossing stitches on the rear quarter/heel mark off triangles and other shapes.  These are available from Nike Sportswear retailers now but you can also get a pair from 95Soleman on eBay.

Nike Air Max 90 Premium CT Black University Blue

The Nike Air Max 90 Current was very well-received and for good reason. The shoe combines the classic look of the Air Max 90 with some of Nike’s new innovations to give the shoe an updated construction for better function. The Air Max 90 CT is coming back for more with a new batch of premium colorways. The first to drop will be this Black/University Blue version that uses a combination of ostrich and premium leather combined with sections of mesh on the toe box and around the ankle. For those of you who remember, Sneaker News first broke news of the Air Max 90 Infrared Premium which featured similar materials last July, and we also recently reported on a scrapped Air Max 90 Neon Premium sample on ebay. It looks like Nike will continue to use this material scheme this fall. If you’re feeling these kicks, you shouldn’t have to wait long as they are expected to hit retailers late next month.

Collections: Vintage Nike Running Sneakers Bryan LaRoche

Although it still takes time and money, collecting Air Jordans or Nike SB Dunks has become a relatively easy thing to do thanks to eBay, resellers and Retro releases. That said, when a more obscure type of collection pops up, it deserves to be acknowledged for its originality and rarity. Bryan LaRoche has been collecting Nike kicks since he was three years old, thanks in part to a father that understood and aided his fascination with fresh sneakers. Over the years, Bryan has put together an incredible collection, full of some crazy rare and vintage Nike running shoes. Keep reading after the jump for a look at a few choice pieces from Bryan’s collection, such as classic 80′s runners like the Air Current and Air Flow to some wild models like the Sock Racer and Foot Digs that many sneakerheads have probably never even seen. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Stud Hi + Stud Ox

With a simple classic design like the Chuck Taylor All-Star, you don’t necessarily have to go too far over the top to give the iconic shoe a unique new look. This latest concept for the Chucks throws some metal studs into the design, placing the decorative silver circles between each eyelet hole. The style can be found on both a Hi and Low version of the All-Star, both using black suede uppers with sections of leather on the eyelet panels. The Low and the Hi version also both feature a traditional white toe cap and white midsole, giving the kicks a nice touch of old to go with the new additions. If you like what you see here, you can find both pairs now at MitaSneakers.

Air Jordan Force Fusion IV (4) Black Varsity Red Stealth Available

Many Fusion haters seem to be letting down their guards when it comes to the Air Jordan Force Fusion IV. Aside from the Air Force 1 midsole, the rest of the shoe is nearly identical to the original design, making it hard to find too much to complain about when it comes to these. Many will make the point that producing new alternate versions of classics like the Air Jordan IV somehow cheapens the legacy of the originals, but sometimes when you can’t beat them, you’d might as well join them. As far as Fusions go, this Black/Varsity Red/Stealth colorway of the Air Jordan Force Fusion IV does justice to the OG model at a level that will be hard to top, not to mention hard to pass up.

We know how many of you loathe the concept of Fusions and everything about them, but when you’re looking at these in the store next month, it might be more difficult than you’d expect to ignore the fact that they are so similar to the original Air Jordan IV’s, which are one of the most beloved Air Jordan models of all-time. Those who are not swayed by the Fusion factor can already get a pair from 95soleman on eBay.

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Anthracite Black Hot Red New Images

A lot of sneakerheads were very excited about the return of the Air Griffey Max 1 in its original Black/Fresh Water and Royal/Volt colorways and from the initial feedback, it appears that this new version will be just as eagerly embraced when it hits stores this fall. The shoe sports a Black leather/suede upper with a White midsole and some splashes of Hot Red spread throughout. As with the others, there are some personal Ken Griffey Jr. touches like the large White number 24 on the ankle strap and the baseball design on the bottom of the outsole. This new colorway is expected to arrive at select retailers in October, but as usual, Osneaker has some pairs in stock early, so act fast if you want to be among the first to be rocking these beauties.
