With back-to-school just around the corner, ALIFE Footwear just released a number of new colorways of their silhouettes, in stores, online and at ALIFE retailers. The three silhouettes from this collection plays on one of the most used tools in education, the highlighter which inspires three new colorways of the Alife Court Cup Hi-Lite, two colors of the Alife Shell Toe Hi-Lite, and three colorways of the Alife Everybody High Hi-Lite. The Alife Everybody High seem to be ALIFE’s signature shoe and gets three other new treatments for Fall including two colors in AllOver Print, two colors in Americas Cut and three colors in black suede and pop-color outsoles. The Alife Chuck which we’ve seen earlier gets two treatments making up five new colorways and last is the Alife Mono Applique with three colors. Following Nike’s lead, Converse has recently introduced their own “ID” customization options, letting consumers create their very own personalized versions of some of the brand’s classic models like the Chuck Taylor All-Star, Jack Purcell and many others. The Nike Air Pegasus 89 has gotten more press lately, but it would’t exist without these literal forerunners. The Nike Air Pegasus GX is a long throwback, back to the days of waffle soles and steep wedge heels. Lately metallic polka-dots have been heavily featured on several Nike womens’ models, and now we get a look at the latest to run with the concept. This womens’ Dunk Low model also adopts another popular theme for recent Nike kicks, Red Plum. This color has been popping up on one womens’ model after another and now it will grace the toe, eyelet panels and Swoosh of this Dunk Low. The Red Plum leather is offset by a suede Neutral Grey upper that is covered with the aforementioned metallic silver dots. A few days ago, when LeBron James visited Chicago on the first stop on his More Than A Game World Tour, we got a look at the Chi-Town installment of the Air Max LeBron VII Artist Series created by Jeff Zimmerman. Yesterday, King James arrived in the nation’s capital, and as expected, attendees of the event were given a look at the Washington D.C. Artist Series version of the Air Max LeBron VII. the shoe was customized by local artist, Cynthia Rudzis, who decided to go with a tattoo-style illustration that sports some patriotic themes like stars, stripes and the American Eagle. Collaborations between Japaneses retailer, atmos, and New Balance are nothing new, but this latest go-around is one of the freshest yet. This time around, the chosen shoe is the New Balance 576, giving the classic model perhaps its wildest look ever. Dubbed the “Face Off 2 Turbo” edition, the shoe sports a white and black upper that uses a variety of interesting materials like patent and smooth leather and even some sections that glow-in-the-dark. Adding to that are some blue accents on the patterned heel and logo branding and a lime-colored lining, as well as a speckled midsole. ALIFE is making the most of bright colours here in late summer. The ALIFE Everybody High Hi-Lite comes to us with a stark extra beyond the standard Dunk-like design. There’s one pair in white with a black sole that features a huge highlighter-yellow stripe along the outside panel. After a long build-up and a lot of anticipation, the Nike SB P-Rod III finally hit stores last week. By now, we have already seen plenty of the White/Black/Red and Black/White/Red colorways, as well as the Sport Red suede edition, so now it’s time to take a look at what’s on the horizon for the P-Rod III. In addition to the colorways we’ve already seen, two new versions have recently emerged, giving fans of the shoe plenty of cause for excitement. One new pair goes with a boldly colorful look, using a combination of Aquamarine and Black suede on the upper. The other pair pays homage to a Nike SB classic, going with a Black leather base with a Metallic Silver Swoosh similar to the beloved Takashi 2 Dunk SB model. The Aquamarine/Black colorway is expected to drop some time in November, while release info for the Black/Metallic Silver pair is still unconfirmed.
