Last night, we showed you Chris Paul’s home colorway PE of the Air Jordan II and now we get a look at the away version, also made for the young point guard during the 2007-2008 NBA season. These kicks keep things a little simpler in terms of color blocking by using only one accent color. The shoe sports a black on black upper that uses a combination of nubuck and pebbled leather. Accents are provided by some splashes of rich yellow on various sections of the shoe, including the same “CP 3″ embroidery seen on the home version. Like these others, these will not come cheap, but if you’re willing to empty your wallet for them, you can find them now on eBay in a size 12.5.

As part of a final project at the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Israel, a student named ELNA created three customized pairs of Nike Dunks and then created a video to help market them. As you will see, the results are pretty impressive. ELNA obviously put a lot of time into giving the often-customized Dunk some of its most imaginative looks yet. Two pairs of Dunk Lows and a Dunk High model have been given colorful makeovers, complete with wild patterns, shapes and vibrant colors. Keep reading after the jump to check out all three, as well as a look at the super-cool video that was created to promote them. Via Freshness.

British e-boutique oki-ni offers some of the best in high fashion for men. A project that began with Raf Simmons and Levi’s, their Archive has focused its latest iteration on Nike. With the generous help of Crooked Tongues founding member Chris, we can take a look back over the Swoosh’s rich history. Chris’ collection is quite deep and there’s too much to mention, but among the key holdings are DQM Air Max 90s, a massive array of Air Max Plus TNs and the Coke-branded Kukinis above. Click the jump to see a few more and check out the whole archive today.

You can say all you want about the Nike Zoom Kobe Make Sense. The fact of the matter is that the Zoom Kobe IV is one of the most innovative and comfortable basketball kicks *ever*. Its lowtop design has been released in countless colourways and this edition brings it all back home. For Kobe, that’s literally true, as this ‘Philly’ edition rocks an All-American palette. You’ll find reflective 3M stars around the ankle collar, signifying his 2002 NBA All Star Game MVP won at the Comcast Center, while ’8/23/78′ on the insoles remind us the baby was born a Virgo. Grab these today from eBay. Photos: 95Soleman/Shaolin8

This ultra-rare Air Jordan XX3 promo sample was created for Michael Jordan himself, begging the question: Is it still a PE if it’s your own signature shoe to begin with? That’s up to you decide, but there’s no debating that this is one of the more interesting Air Jordan XX3 colorways that we’ve seen. The shoe sports a clean white upper covered by an intricate decorative pattern that takes more of a subtle tonal approach than some other versions of the Air Jordan XX3. The white foundation is then complemented by a metallic gold midsole with additional gold accents on the tongue, lace tips and a few touches of contrast stitching.
This deadstock pair of size 9 samples is up for grabs and will obviously not come cheap, but it’s not often that an Air Jordan PE designed for MJ himself hits the open market. Since most of us don’t have that kind of cash to drop on a pair of kicks, at least you can get a nice look at these rare gems after the jump. If you are ready to break the bank for these, you can start bidding now on eBay.

Nike launched one of it’s most successful Nike Basketball campaigns to date this past year with their MVPuppets commercials that featured Lebron James and Kobe Bryant as well as Lil Dez, now Nike is celebrating Kobe Bryant’s fourth NBA Championship via a Lil Dez “Congrats Kobe” Nike Big Nike Quickstrike that should be hitting select Nike Urban accounts in the near future. The shoe features a Sport Red synthetic leather upper with “LIL DEZ” written on the heel. On the collar of both shoes the words “Congrats Kobe” are written in a script font. Additionally a Lil Dez graphic is featured on the shoe’s tongue that is the same graphic that is used on a matching t-shirt. Lastly you can find some nice details on the shoe’s insoles. Look for these to hit select Nike Urban retailers shortly. via Sole Collector

If you’ve been drooling over all the recent pics of the Air Max LeBron VII and can’t wait until October, the good news is that they are not the only Nike basketball model to incorporate Flywire and Air Max technology into a shoe design. The Nike Hypermax has been out for a little while, and while it hasn’t quite made the same kind of splash as the Hyperdunk, this is still an elite performance basketball model with a very slick look. This latest colorway has the Hypermax looking better than ever thanks to a simple Black on Black color scheme that is contrasted by some bright flashes of Total Orange on the tongue, ankle strap and inside of the Air Max bubble. Those looking to stay fresh out on the court this summer can pick up a pair now on eBay. Photos: StepToRun

Asics has really stepped up their game as of late, and this new Gel Lyte Speed model will help keep the momentum rolling. The classic running shoe has been given one of its freshest looks yet, using different shades of grey for the upper, including sections of reflective 3M material. Obviously, though, the standout feature of these kicks is the red and white striped “barber pole” design that can be found on the midsole and laces. This colorway is being referred to as the Grey Goose, although we’re still not exactly sure why. What we do know is that this crispy Gel Lyte Speed model will be dropping at select retailers sometime in September. Via SnkrFrkr.
