Only days after debuting the Nike Air Max Lebron VII at a Nike Basketball Lebron Summit in Akron, Ohio, King James walked the runway with Savannah Brinson for the Eighty81 and Legendary Icons Fashion Show at the Galleria in Cleveland. The Fashion Show included music by local artists Fly Union as well as G.O.O.D. Music’s newest artist, Big Sean. The show featured a number of local brands but obviously the star of the show was Lebron as he and Savannah were the finale to the show. At a presentation that took place during the LeBron Tour stop in Chicago, Jeff Zimmerman gave LeBron a uniquely designed pair of Nike Air Max LeBron VII sneakers. A native of Chicago, Jeff Zimmermann has achieved national and international recognition for his large-scale murals featuring painted images of contemporary pop-culture and sensitively rendered portraits. Jeff Zimmermann’s pop-culture references range from innocuous consumer products such as beer cans, hard candy rings, and high heeled shoes, to more symbolically-charged images like portraits of political figures. The artist’s background as a graphic designer explains his shrewd use of flashy and graphic forms.
Jeff Zimmerman was inspired by James’ achievements on and off the court. He wanted the shoes to express LeBron’s positive energy through color and motion. To represent Chicago, Zimmerman wove in the Chicago city flag. For a bit of levity, Zimmerman added “a Chicago-style hot dog symbolizing the fun that amateurs have trying to be a ‘hot dog’ on the court.” He included a worn-in Nike swoosh to represent the idea that “experience, plus practice and hard work, make us who we are. “

Here is another collection from the Fall 2009 PUMA line. Dubbed the “Raps,” these Clydes have a mix of regular and patent leather. The patent features a spotted paint pattern similar to the YO! MTV Raps logo, however these don’t seem to be part of the PUMA x YO! MTV Raps collection being that these do not feature such tags found on other products of the collection. It would make sense, though, if they were a YO! release, since the last week was the 20th anniversary of the shows debut episode. Keep locked for any future info. But if you’re already sold on these, you can cop them at Mita Sneakers.

2010 marks the 19th annual FIFA World Cup. PUMA brand has had a long standing history with the sport of football (soccer). In fact, Pelé, arguably the greatest football athlete of all time, wore Pumas to victory during the 1970 FIFA World Cup.
PUMA brings forth a collection of Clydes that undergo an African theme, which is most likely concurrent with South Africa being the next host nation to the FIFA tournament. The uppers feature distressed suede and a kente pattern, cloth native to African fabrication, along the lace eyelets. The overall design is nicely set off by contrast stitching along the formstrip. A limited edition release part of the Fall 2009 collection, these are now available at Mita Sneakers.

Recently, a new store called 225 Forest was opened in Laguna Beach, California to house many of Nike Inc.’s action sports labels like Nike SB, Nike 6.0, Hurley and Converse. To commemorate the opening, graffiti legend, Dalek created some original artwork for the store, which was then taken and used to create some fresh collaborative goodies. Along with a pair of Dalek print Hurley shorts, they also created a Chuck Taylor High model that uses some Dalek art across the upper. Unfortunately, the super-limited run got snatched up fast, but at least you can still check out some more pics after the jump. Via SlamXHype.

Earlier today, we gave you a look at a very special pair of Air Jordan II PE’s that were personalized for MJ’s son, Marcus, and now we have some pics of another player exclusive version of the classic model. Chris Paul, one of the NBA and Jordan Brand’s brightest young stars, received this pair of Air Jordan II PE’s to match his New Orlean’s Hornets home uniforms during the 2007-2008 season. The kicks feature a white leather upper with teal and yellow accents, giving the Air Jordan II one of its most original looks ever. As an additional personal touch, an embroidered “CP 3″ shout out can be seen on the ankle. As you would expect, these never-worn size 12.5′s come with a steep price tag, but they would sure make a nice collector’s piece. If you’re ready to dig deep for these, get over to eBay now.

Just when you think you’ve seen all they can do with the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, we get something like this. They’re pretty much the exact opposite of all the other Chucks we’ve seen, yet they’re very clearly still Chucks. The Converse Moonwalk puts everything on the front of most All Stars on the back of these, and vice versa. It looks like you’ll have to lace these up from behind, but maybe they’re just held together with elastics. We don’t know that for sure, but do know you can get yours this week from A.R.C.

The new Air Max LeBron VII has been making a lot of news lately, but there is still one Zoom LeBron VI colorway that will be making sure that the VI’s go out with a bang. Last week, we gave you a detailed look at this Supreme Dunkman edition of the Zoom LeBron VI Low along with news that they were already beginning to hit stores. As you can see, the kicks sport a crisp Black/Stealth upper with a mesh toe box and some eye-catching Electrolime accents, including the giant Dunkman silhouette logo that appears beneath the clear Swoosh on the midpanel. This bold style may not be for everybody, but if you’re feeling them, you can pick up a pair now on eBay. Photos: RMK Store

Here’s a look at another colorway from the Nike “Tennis Pack.” Following the same motif as the pair we previously showed, this Nike Air Max 90 also features full grain and patent leather, along with a mudguard design reminiscent of the Air Tech Challenges. However this pair wears Varsity Red on the splatter and the accents. A fresh look for a classic Nike style. As mentioned with the other Tennis Pack AM90′s, these will be available at all Nike Sportswear retailers, or you can snag a pair from eBay. Photos via ID4Shoes.
