KIKS TYO x FLY Nike SB Blazer Fly Milk T Shirt

Kiks Tyo uses a typeface strikingly similar to a style of italics well known in Beaverton, Oregon.  Nike doesn’t own their font but Kiks probably has the part of your mind linking girls and sneakers on lock.  Their latest tee shirt is a team effort with China’s FLY skateboard shop.  It depicts a lovely lady in Nike SB Blazer ‘Fly Milks’ from two years back and a milk jug with missing person graphics.  Expect this one soon at FLY locations.  via FRESHNESS

Nike Grade School (GS) Fall 2009 Back to School Preview

With back-to-school fever rapidly approaching, we thought we’d give you a look at some of the upcoming Nike releases that can have your kids or younger siblings looking fresh this September. Headlining the collection will be three new colorways of the Air Max 90 that will be sure to make some adult size sneakerheads green with envy. One pair sports a Black/Dark Grey upper with Volt accents and a dotted pattern on the midsole. The Air Max 90 will also sport a nice Black/Royal/White color scheme and the third version goes with a Black base, contrasted by some Magenta and Volt highlights and a star pattern printed on the mudguard.

Joining the Air Max 90′s will be a Dunk Low that also uses the same stars design along with a Black/White/Volt/Pink color scheme. Rounding out the upcoming collection is a Pale Blue Blazer High that also flaunts some stars on the Swoosh, and last, but not least, a Black/Grey/Hot Red Air Max 95 that we’ve already seen in adult sizes. All six pairs should be hitting select Nike retailers in September, just in time for some last minute back-to-school shopping.

Air Jordan VI Black Varsity Red 2010 Retro

Here it is! The photos almost all sneakerheads have been waiting for and our friends at Marquee Sole has the first detailed photos of the shoes since our previous preview of the Air Jordan VI – Black Infrared back in June. During the 1990-1991 NBA season, at the time of their release, Nike was pulling away from their competitors at a startling rate and so was Michael Jordan. These shoes were on his feet as he won his first NBA Championship and his second league MVP. For those who lived through that period, these shoes are definitely something special, this is the first time Jordan Brand has retroed them since 2000. For the new and old Air Jordan heads, you’ll have a chance to grab these come January 2010. Do these photos of the Air Jordan VI Black/Infrared Retro meet your expectations?

Update: These are Black/Varsity Red not Infrared.

Release Date: 01/2010
Color: Black/Varsity Red

Nike Basketball blessed New York’s Hot 97 radio station with a Promo run of their very own Nike Hyperize basketball sneakers. A small size run of these Nike Hyperize Hot 97 Summer Jam Edition sneakers were given to various people involved with the radio station. While the shoe’s colorway is nothing special and is identical to the colorway released as a part of the Hyperize Asia City Pack, it does boast a special Hot 97 logo on the shoe’s tongue. These are very limited however you can cop a few pairs at Osneaker now.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV Lower Merion HS Home

Last winter, Nike began releasing colorways of the Zoom Kobe IV based on the color schemes of some high schools and college teams that hold some special significance to Kobe. Back in February, we first got a look at the version inspired by Lower Merion High School, where Kobe played before taking on the NBA. The Lower Merion edition featured an away colorway with the team’s Aces logo placed on the heel. Now, Lower Merion will be honored again, but this time around, it will be a home version that sports a white/metallic silver upper with red accents. Also of note, the Aces logo has been replaced by a Bulldogs logo, which for some reason, is the name of Lower Merion’s baseball team, even though the rest of their teams are all known as the Aces. An exact release date is still not confirmed, but these are expected to drop alongside the home version of the Rice High School Zoom Kobe IV.  Via NT.

Nike Blazer AC High LE Red Velcro + Nike Blazer Low ND Lucky Green

The Nike Blazer has enjoyed a banner year in 2009 and expansions of its classic design will continue to accumulate.  The highs pictured above are done in red and black leather and have velcro straps instead of laces.  A low cut pair sticks with laces and opts to contrast ripstop nylon with full grain leather, all in green.  Grab the green ones or the red pair today before their spring 2010 release in sample sizes from Osneaker.

Nike Air Force 1 Low GS Black Elephant White Camouflage

The latest camouflaged Air Force 1 Low from Nike is anything but invisible  The white leather Swoosh bursts from a black background of tumbled leather and nubuck.  White also adds some ‘light’ to the black midsole that sits atop the ‘camo’ outsole.  It’s not the traditional green, brown and black, but rather a grey, black and white version that goes with the binary colourblocking.  Anyone who wears US size 7 or smaller can grab these from StepToRun on eBay.

Asics Gel Lyte III Blue Jumbo October 2009

The Asics Gel Lyte III is back, once again using some wild colors and patterns to bring new life to the classic running model. Coming off eye-catching recent designs like the “Blueberry” and “Lite Brite” editions, the Gel Lyte III returns in a crazy new colorway that combines a black and grey foundation with bright blue and yellow accents. Obviously the most noticeable attribute is the pattern on the upper that looks suspiciously similar to Elephant print, but the checkered mesh design on the toe box also offers another interesting style touch. If you’re feeling this version of the Gel Lyte III that has unofficially been dubbed the “Blue Jumbo,” check out some more pics after the jump and keep an eye out for these at select Asics retailers in October.  Via SnkrFrkr.

Nike Tennis Classic White Lucky Green

We saw a pair of Nike Tennis Classics with their vintage treatment in White and Green back in May.  These use the same colours, but end up closer to the ‘Stan Smith’ end of things.  This pair of Tennis Classic AC’s from the Nike Sportswar Spring 2010 collection reminds us of adidas’ classic lowtop with its use of lucky green.  One significant difference, though, is the striped laces that go half and half with white and green.  If you want to grab these early, look no further than Osneaker.

Nike Sportswear x Just Blaze x BET Be True Hot 16 Bar Exam

Nike will be teaming up with BET and producer-extraordinaire, Just Blaze, for a new take on the HOT 16 rhyme competition. Aspiring mc’s are invited to submit their best 16 bar verse for a chance to win a trip to NYC to participate in the 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher, as well as shot at a trip to the 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. Entrees should be t.v.-friendly, meaning no sex, profanity or violence, and should also incorporate the concept of what “Be True” means to you. If you’re interested, you’d best act fast, because the deadline for entrees is tomorrow, August 28th.  Get over to the BET HOT 16 page to submit and be sure to keep reading after the jump to check out a video with Just Blaze discussing the contest. Good luck to all.  Via Freshness.
