Nike x Doernbecher – Charity Auction – Black Air Yeezy + Air Yeezy x Air Jordan VI

Nike x Doernbecher – Charity Auction – Black Air Yeezy + Air Yeezy x Air Jordan VI

We all know when Nike auctions shoes for the Doernbecher Foundation, it is assured to succeed with much charitable outcome- after all, it’s for a great cause.  Sole Collector previously released footage of actor/sneakerfiend, Chi McBride, and Jordan Brand Creative Director, Mark Smith discussing Nike’s next charity venture in the form of Kanye West’s Grammy Air Yeezy.  For those who have seen it already, you all may have been anxiously waiting to see what Chi McBride was getting so vexed about.

The wait is now over.  For part 3 previews Nike’s other planned auction item- a sample Nike Air Yeezy with an Air Jordan VI sole.  Although this pair may be mistaken for the “Grammy” pair from afar or by an untrained eye, this one-of-a-kind work gives a whole different feel to the final product.  Definitely a unique pair, especially since this sample is still based off a Jordan mold.  Want another excuse to confirm rarity?  Mr. West himself didn’t even see this pair during the production process.  For those with serious dough to drop, this is definitely a good look for any collection.  And don’t feel guilty afterwards, you’re helping to save lives.  Via Sole Collector.
