As you probably already know, each year, Nike teams up with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Oregon for the Doernbecher Freestyle project, where talented young patients get a chance to create some imaginative Nike sneakers to be sold for a very good cause. This years batch of creations is as intriguing as ever thanks to the outside the box approach taken by many of the young designers. For the 2009 collection, there are a variety of different models chosen and each has been given a very unique makeover courtesy of this year’s Doernbecher junior design team. Joining the Air Jordan VI, which we’ve already shown you numerous previews of, will be an Air Force 1, P-Rod III, Air Max Zenyth, Dunk High and Shox NZ. Keep reading after the jump for a better look at each shoe and its designer, and be advised that the collection will hit nationwide Niketown locations as well as NikeStore sometime in mid-November.

It’s interesting with Supra signature models: it seems like the crazier looking their riders, the tamer the look for their sneaker line. Take for example the comparison of Terry Kennedy and Antuwan Dixon. Both are handsome young men (we suppose), but Antuwan has TK beat in the ink department hands down. But take a look at Dixon’s shoe: nondescript except for his namesake embroidery, whereas the TK Society has an instant-classic design.
The analogy extends in a comparison between Supra’s main man Chad Muska and the newest recruit, Mike ‘Lizard King’ Plumb. His eyes are crazy enough on their own, but apparently he’s also friends with the devil, so using Supra’s formula, that equals a simple lowtop skate show with a patent leather contrast stripe on the side panel. Take a look at more shots and video after the jump. via SupraTalk

This is a new Nike Air Max 1 that is a part of the Nike Sportswear Holiday 2009 Collection that features the theme of rivals and East vs. West, as seen with the DJ Clark Kent vs. Eddie Cruz Air Force 1′s and Dunk’s. This Air Max 1 is supposedly the West Edition and features a tonal Midnight Navy and Blue colorway that is accented with with White midsole. The insole uses a Carolina Blue colorway with a Beaver graphic on it. These Air Max 1′s are available now at select Nike Sportswear retailers including colette.

Once it became official that skate superstar Eric Koston signed with Nike SB, a lot of sneakerheads’ minds began instantly racing, wondering what a Koston signature SB model would look like. As you’re aware, it takes time to create a new model from scratch, so to tide fans over, Nike SB has decided to give Eric his own Dunk Low colorway in the meantime. We showed you a sneak peek of the Eric Koston Dunk last month, and now we have our best look yet at the upcoming model. As you can see, the shoe sports a solid Royal Blue upper with a Metallic Silver Swoosh and additional Red accents on the lining, midsole stitching and outlining the Swoosh. A white midsole and gum outsole finish off the design, helping to give it a classic, yet eye-catching appearance. The original pics appeared to have a Metallic Gold Swoosh, so it’s still uncertain which will be the final version, but either way, the shoe is expected to drop in June of next year, so stay tuned more more pics and info in the coming months. Supra’s most iconic model, the Skytop, will be released in a number of subtle colorways that use premium materials in the upcoming months. Here is a look at three different colorways of the Supra Skytop that are tentatively scheduled for a Holiday 2009 release. The three colorways include a Red leather and Black patent leather pair, a Dark Grey heavy canvas pair, and a solid Black canvas pair. If you’re looking to add a pair of Skytop’s to your collection, any one of these three might be the perfect pair. via Sneaker Freaker

It’s been going strong for a couple of years now and Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 luxury line for adidas has just dropped a large collection for fall. All of the kicks in this collection keep Yamamoto’s sleek aesthetic, some taking it to another level with what looks to be one-piece patent leather construction (the seams seem to be pressed in). Quite alot to offer here, so take a look at all the photos after the jump then cop these and a few other models from the Y-3 eStore.

Don’t expect Charles Barkley to be a big supporter for this release. To be fair, we’re not sure if Barkley settled his score with Godzilla, but both got shoutouts from Beaverton this year. The Nike Blazer High pictured above will be joined by another with raw animal aesthetics to complete the upcoming Monster Pack. They use a printed green leather upper that has enough depth in the green shades to easily bring in the gold and red hits with a little black thrown in to keep things feeling dangerous. Sneaker Freaker says they expect a November release, but that might be because Aussies tend to get kicks a tad later, so we’ll keep you posted with release info.

We’ve already seen a number of new Jordan Brand releases like the L’Style One and the Campus Chukka that venture away from the performance category for more of a lifestyle aesthetic. The Blasé Mid offers something a little sportier, but still with some versatile style applications. Over the weekend, we gave you a heads up that the Black/Anthracite version has begun to hit select retailers, and now the Dark Cinder/Khaki/White pair has arrived as well. Unlike the Black pair that uses a rich leather upper, the Dark Cinder version opts for suede instead with additional sections covered by a corduroy-like material. If you’re feeling the stylish alternative provided by the Blasé Mid, both colorways are available now at FinishLine.

Dear readers, if these ever hit retailers, we’re going to be in for some trouble (and no, it’s definitely not because Michael Jordan signed with adidas or anything silly like that). Released in March 2001 as the next retro AJXI after the original release of the Space Jam, the Cool Grey Air Jordan XI (11) was a huge hit. The Space Jams are set for a December 23rd release, but the ‘Cool Greys’ are nowhere in sight. What we are going to get along with the Space Jams is a variety of Air Jordan XII (12) Retro releases. The samples pictured above, then, split the difference. Appearing in white leather with flint grey accents, this salesman’s sample of the Air Jordan XII is basically perfect. Perhaps there’s no coincidence that they’re nearly identical to the version that released in December 2003, and also no coincidence that this pair’s sample status makes it far more valuable. You could cop them if you’re quick, sample size US mens 9 is available from taobao.

There’s a very cool of the Nike Air Force 1 Low on the way for Halloween. Until now, the Dunk was underrepresented in this upcoming holiday celebration. You could argue they’re still not covering everything with this GS release, but why bother to spread the theme thin when you’ve also got a Day of the Dead Pack on the way. As for this Halloween themed Dunk High for kids, it’s done in black nylon with highly detailed jack-o-lantern graphics screened on most of the upper. If you plan to be the star of your neighborhood and get these to give out to all the local trick or treaters, cop the whole GS run from FinishLine.

Ladies like shiny things, right? It might be a horrible sexist stereotype, but if it happens to be true, Nike Sportswear should have some hot sellers on their hands. Here are four new ladies hightops that just dropped. First up is a pack of two Nike WMNS Dunk High Skinnys from the sequened Metallic Pack. The gold and black pair pictured above comes along with the metallic silver pair. It’s not at all cold yet but the Snow Waffle CL boot looks great in grey patent leather. Possibly the single most striking pair of the set is a Nike Blazer High with an insane geometrical pattern. All of these are available today from Major.
