Nike x Doernbecher Air Jordan VI (6) by Jordan Dark Detailed Images

Tony ‘Mr. Boober’ Taylor’s Air Jordan 1 design for last year’s Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle stole the show.  This collaborative effort is now in its sixth year so it seems fitting to see the sixth Air Jordan play a central role.  Jordan Dark designed Mike’s first championship winning sneaker with the colours of that year’s National League champions in mind.  As we saw him smiling, holding the finished product and rocking an ‘A’ emblazoned New Era, it was clear that Jordan loves the Atlanta Braves.  There’s also an outside chance that he drew these up to save Big Boi from further embarrassment.   Then again, his take on the AJVI adds a baseball feel with raised ‘pinstripes’ to an all navy blue nubuck upper, lending credence to the Braves theory.  Splashes of red and gold also give these the Olympic feel and the translucent sole is a nice finishing touch.

Nike x Manny Pacquiao Trainer 1 Lights Out Detailed Look

Manny always makes me laugh during the post-fight interviews with his awkward smile and chuckle, along with his minimal-worded answers.  But when he’s in the ring, he means “bizness”.  These Trainer 1′s are just the same.  With the momentous victory over Ricky Hatton this past May, Nike shows love and respect by creating a Lights Out version of the new Trainer 1.  Obviously insinuating the use of glow-in-the-dark, but also a play on words for Hatton’s performance during their bout.

Using glow is not the only stand-out feature to the shoe.  Nike goes all out with intricate detail and branding- contrast stitching, MP embroidered tags outside and inside the tongue, laser graphics on the heel, and insoles decked out in illustration.  Let’s not forget about packaging though.  The shoes are wrapped in all over gold foil monogram pattern paper, all going into one of the best designed boxes we’ve seen in a while.  These will only be available for sale at the Nike flagship store in Fort Bonifacio, Philippines- appropriate, being that it’s Pacman’s native land.  Though only one pair per person, the matching shirt is open to three per person.  via KC31.

Nike x Doernbecher x Sole Collector Air Yeezy T Shirts + Personalized Tan Air Yeezy Raffle

The Nike x Doernbecher Children’s Hospital partnership has already raised a boatload of dough with the recent auctions of the Grammy and Air Jordan VI editions of the Air Yeezy, and the mission is still underway. Nike and Doernbecher have joined forces with Sole Collector for a new charitable endeavor. Two different Air Yeezy-inspired t-shirts have just been released. Both shirts are black with one using pink print with the laser-cut graphics from the Grammy Air Yeezy collectors box and the other sports white glow-in-the-dark ink displaying some early design sketches for the Yeezy’s. Both shirts also have the Sole Collector and Doernbecher logos printed on the sleeve with the original heel tab logo on the back, but you still haven’t even heard the best part. The purchase of one of these shirts enters you in a raffle to win a pair of these patent-strapped Tan Air Yeezy’s in your size, personally laser customized by none other than Mark Smith. Whether you like the shirts or not, all the proceeds got to the hospital and it seems like a small price to pay for a chance at winning something so special. To purchase yours, click here.

Nike x Doernbecher P Rod III by Collin Callsen Detailed Images

Yesterday, we gave you a look at the 2009 Doernbecher Freestyle collection, and now we get an up-close look at the Zoom P-Rod III designed by Collin Callsen of Stayton, Oregon. You can tell Colin had some fun with this one, decorating the shoe with graphics and patterns in addition to the fresh color scheme. The shoe features a White upper with a Blue-tinted camouflage covering the Swoosh and laser printed motorcycles and skulls on the mudguard and toe box respectively. Also of note, a Safari-like pattern graces the heel panel and a camo effect is applied to the outsole, giving this version of the P-Rod III a fun-loving look without going too far over the top. Look for these to hit select Nike retailers in November with all proceeds going to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Nice job Collin!

2009 Nike Doernbecher Freestyle VI Wall Art

The live auction for this year’s Doernbecher Freestyle Collection took place this past Saturday, raising $189,800 for the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.  High bids for uniquely designed sneakers, potentially saving some lives, wasn’t the only thing causing a stir.  The guys from SOLE helped out making wall pieces for the auction, which took place at Weiden + Kennedy in Oregon.  The abstract works were composed of materials from each respective shoe in this year’s collection.  Interesting to see how each piece takes individual form based on the distinct shapes and accents from the different shoe styles.  Seeing these mounted on the wall only adds more energy evoked from the specially made creations initiated from this yearly event.  via SC.

adidas x Jeremy Scott JS Wings – Multicolor Edition – Spring/Summer 2010 UPDATE

Here’s an update to our report earlier this morning on the adidas x Jeremy Scott JS Wings for Spring/Summer 2010, it looks like its more of a multicolor patent leather edition than the hologram material we originally thought the shoe was made of. The sneaker was worn  by male models during the Jeremy Scott Spring/Summer 2010 Runway Show at London Fashion Week. The Spring/Summer 2010 Jeremy Scott Runway Show seems to be designed after a Flintstones theme with lots of bright colors and Flintstones like patterns. Check out more photos of the Multicolor JS Wings and some behind the scene photos below… Via Nylon

Asics Holiday 2009 Footwear Collection

Gel Lyte IIIs aren’t all Asics has to offer.  They’re putting a little animal intensity into that assertion, adding all kinds of wild elements to their Holiday 2009 collection.  Fans of the GL3 needn’t worry as the flagship retro runner is back in two mostly tonal editions, the most subdued of the entire lot.  There’s a Safari Pack that includes the Procourt Boots, Courtrebel MT and Fraser pictured above.  The Classic Pattern Pack is made up of two Procourt ARs and distinguished by its argyle ankle straps.  Take a look at all of these and a few others including some bright GT-2 runners after the jump.  via HS
