Nike Air Max 90 GS Black Blue White Home/Away

This new Nike Air Max 90 will probably play well in Durham, NC.  They look like the perfect thing for Duke’s Cameron Crazies to wear wether (camping out for tickets) at home or causing trouble on the road, these are a perfect compliment for the Blue Devils’ signature palette.  Aside from that generous stretch, we have no clue why these might have ‘Home | Away’ stitched into the to tongue tag.  Even more perplexing is that this is a GS release, so they’re way too small for the vast majority of college students anyway.  If your elementary school junior sneakerheads need something versatile to wear in their increasingly mobile little worlds, cop these today from 95Soleman on eBay.

Converse Spring 2010 Footwear Preview

It might be versatile enough for seemingly infinite design possibilities, but the Chuck Taylor All Star isn’t Converse’s only old school basketball sneaker.  It’s certainly the most popular, but recent Jack Purcell releases have pulled it to a nice second place in the company’s heirarchy.  Upcoming for spring ’10 is a collection that adds to this dynamic duo with the above pictured Fast Break II.  Several colourways of that, Jacks and Chucks with slimmer, low-profile soles are pictured after the jump.  via HB

NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND x Nike Air Force 1 High Premium @ 21 Mercer St.

It took Nike nearly 20 years to reissue the legendary ‘BO KNOWS’ tees.  Getting one for your 10th anniversary must mean you’re something special.  Now, we’re not trying to predict who’d win in a contest, but it’s clear that Nitro Microphone Underground is doing something right.  Even if all their records were garbage, this Air Force 1 High Premium should be enough to cement their legacy.  They go hard with a mix of metallic gold and tonal black elephant print, and they’re now available stateside.  Nike Sportswear’s flagship store at 21 Mercer St. in SoHo, NYC just got a shipment of this limited collaboration so if you’re in the area, stop by and then let us know if they’re priced comparably to the Japanese release.

Nike Dunk High Black Metallic Silver Plum East vs. West Rivals Pack

If it really was a rivalry, it’s over before it started.  Maybe Nike is just following the sun’s natural path from east to west, because this is now the 4th East edition Dunk from the East vs. West Rivals Pack.  This one goes with a mostly suede construction, tying in three shades from pitch black to a light grey.  It’s a great base upon which the perforated metallic silver rear overlay is applied.  The perforations give really enhances the metallic feel and were it not for the strong purple presence, we’d think these might call out to the eastern seaboard’s manufacturing legacy.  In any case, the shoes have already been stitched up and you can grab em today from 95Soleman on eBay.

Nike Zoom Kobe V Black Purple Yellow

Carmelo Anthony wasn’t happy with the LA Lakers dispatching his Denver Nuggets from the NBA Western Conference Finals, so he demanded a video game rematch.  Ok, it’s probably more accurate to say that 2K Sports got their NBA 2K10 coverboy in a room with another NBA superstar for some promo time.  Now, normally, we would only have a passing interest in a story like this and wouldn’t print it just to keep you up to date on Carmelo and Kobe’s whereabouts.  This is a little different though, as it may shed some light on the mystery surrounding the Nike Zoom Kobe V.  A couple of shots in the video you’ll see after the jump show a black and purple design that looks to run with the lowcut torch lit by the innumerable colourways of Zoom Kobe IV.  In fact, it looks a great deal like a pair of ZKIVs that should drop next month. Would you buy these if they’re the final Kobe V design?  via NT

Air Jordan XVIII (18) Samples Comparison

The Air Jordan XVIII (18) is near the top of the list of sleek Air Jordans.  Mike went out in style in this one-piece upper that featured a smooth lace cover, ankle vents and a geometrically-patterned midsole.  As with all beautiful sneakers, this one took some time to build and apparently didn’t always look like the released version.  Have a look at this Air Jordan XVIII sample in a colourway that’s essentially the same as the original black leather ‘Away’ pair.  Obvious differences include the omission of the ankle vent, a sharper upper ridge on the midsole and perhaps most conspicuously, a stitch down the middle of the toe.  Now, what’s interesting to find after the jump is that there are actually two different samples, so you can see how the design progressed, adding tiny features like a Jumpman inside the toe’s twisted infinity symbol.  Would you have chosen either of these versions over the final production model?  via Kenlu

Air Jordan Blasé Mid Black Anthracite

Though it may be solopsistically named, the Air Jordan L’Style One isn’t Jordan Brand’s only lifestyle sneaker.  Enter the Air Jordan Blasé Mid in all black.  There’s another mostly black version on the way that adds touches of red to an all leather construction, but these opt for nothing but noir, relying on a medley of materials to achieve a tonal look.  They’re so smooth that they don’t have a traditional underlay/overlay, but the leather frame around textile side panels looks good side by side.  A closer look at the fabric panels reveals an interlocking ’23′ pattern.  Cop these smooth Jays today from Millennium Shoes.

Nike WMNS Air Max 90 Dark Obsidian Pink White

Shy Pink, anyone?  The Nike Air Max 90 is back in a familiar colourway.  Fans of the Nike SB Dunk High from 2005 might be displeased to learn that they’re only for ladies.  Then again, it’s hard to be anything but happy when you look at this classic running design in a dope mix of dark obsidian and pink with white accents adding balance.  We’d usually suggest that anyone with a foot of the right size can cop these, but they’re only available up to US womens 8.5, so everyone with small feet should act fast and get them from 95Soleman on eBay.

Nike WMNS Dunk High Black White Purple

The revenge of the spraypaint can from windows paint wouldn’t make for a very good movie.  Good thing that concept is more compelling as a Nike Dunk High for women.  We saw a pack of three of these earlier, each fo which made different use of the combination of the paint blotted canvas and white leather.  This pair goes with yet another arrangement, this time with black leather.  That’s the underlay, atop of which a white and purple pattern come in canvas.  These are available for ladies and any dudes who can fit em from Schuh-You.

Nike All Conditions Gear (ACG) 20th Anniversary

Nike All Conditions Gear is a rugged collection of footwear and apparel for the high tech outdoorsman.  Nearly an adult, Nike ACG has established itself not only because of excellent performance, but because of a signature aesthetic that has radiated out into all facets of the Beaverton brand.  Nike ACG made it to this 20th anniversary by being unafraid to challenge convention.  Just look at the new Flywire-equipped Zoom Ashiko boot.  Another score hence and we might be seeing Nike Sportswear celebrate it on a slew of retro releases.  It sounds crazy now, but just imagine what folks thought when the Air Mowabb first dropped before most of our readers could understand these words.  Take a look at more photos after the jump, including two quintessentially ACG-hewn Magma boots that we can’t wait to see on retail shelves.  via HB/Men’s Non-No

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Down Jacket Pack

Converse has you covered for the upcoming cold weather.  The Chuck Taylor All Star High has proven itself a nearly infinite canvas and this pack takes on the look of a quilted bubble down jacket.  Just like the puffy coats from The North Face that have enjoyed peaks of massive popularity more than once in the past couple decades, these have shiny nylon construction with rows of parallel stitching adding depth.  The pairs in black, red or green should drop sometime soon so we’ll keep you posted.  via MashKulture

Nike Auto Force 180 Black Blue Neon Green Sample

Here’s a pair of Nike Auto Force 180s that won’t drop until later this year.  They’re mostly black on the upper, a mix of smooth nubuck and patent leather.  Royal blue accents on the eyelets and Swooshes join with the neon green touches to give these a sort of Huarache feel.  Then again, you know that it’s 2009 and that Nike Air Force 180s don’t have autoclaved/vulcanized soles, so the whole thing has the effect of bridging across eras, a silent story Nike is telling very well in its recent releases.  We expect the full drop in late October but you can cop a sample in US mens size 9 from verbdws on eBay.
