Air Jordan 11 Space Jam

This colourway of the Air Jordan XI gets its nickname from the movie “Space Jam”, which starred Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny, and a number of other NBA Superstars and Warner Bros. animated characters. In the movie, Michael Jordan wore this colourway of the Air Jordan XI in the final match-up to save his and the cartoons’ lives against the Monstars. While these aren’t an original colourway, the Space Jam Jordan 11 stands as one of the most sought-after Air Jordan XIs in history; Not many pairs in pristine condition are available, but a deadstock pair will fetch more than any other pair of Jordan XI. On December 23, 2009, the Spacejam XI was finally retroed after a decade of anticipation and is without a doubt the biggest Jordan release since the original DMP in January of 2006. This colourway was also one of just two Air Jordan XI that was retroed that year.

Style: 378037-041
Color: Black/Varsity Royal-White
Release Date: December 23rd, 2009
Price: $175

Update: While these are now officially sold out everywhere. Your best best is now to get a pair of them off eBay.

Nike Air Hoop Structure Holiday 2009

As we all know by now, combining classic shoes does not always turn out well, but the Air Hoop Structure is a rare case. In an out-of-leftfield move, rather than blending it with an existing shoe, Nike decided to transform the classic Air Structure Triax 91 running shoe into a basketball model, and so far, the results have been pretty well-received. We have already seen a number of colorways, including one that bears a definite resemblance to the Black/Infrared Air Jordan VI’s and another seen earlier today that has an unmistakable Aqua Air Jordan VIII look. Now we get a sneak peek at two more upcoming color schemes. We already showed you this White/Hot Red version and here we have a look at a new Black/Metallic Silver edition as well. Both are expected to drop some time during the Holiday 2009 season, and in the meantime, you can get a closer look after the jump. Via HS.

SneakersnStuff x New Balance RGB Pack M577 + M1500 + M1700

Somebody at SNS was probably thinking ‘KISS’ with this RGB Pack for NB.  Red, green and blue *are* the three colours of visible light, so SneakersnStuff stuck to basics when designing this three pack of New Balance runners in commemoration of the Sweedish boutique’s 10th anniversary.  They focused on creating the highest quality designs possible and each has unique details.  The red M577 has a pig suede toebox, 3M reflective details and four sets of laces.  A green M1500 looks to be one of the best hewn versions of this smooth sneaker, judging by how great its distinctive side panel ‘N’ looks with that outline.  Wrapping up the pack is the rarely seen M1700 in blue, which is all manmade materials, all vegeterian.  The bright blue ripstop nylon’s texture adds some debth to this one.  All three are built in NB’s England factory and will drop at SNS later this year.  via HS

Nike SB Dunk High + Low Summer 2010

Come next summer, these are two of the drops sneakerheads will be split over.  Some will say that the Nike SB Dunk has featured too many white midsoles of late, while others will be grateful for this return to core skate sensibilities and calmer colourways.  The Nike SB Dunk High pictured above goes with grand purple leather on the underlay, but the black overlay doesn’t show well enough in the photo to discern if it’s suede or also full grain.  For the low, it looks to be all nubuck, though we’d welcome parts in canvas for the navy blue and brick red duo.  Expect plenty of updates on these over the next few months.  via N-SB.org

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by TEC

If you’re going to spend your hard earned money on creating an Air Force 1 Bespoke, then you might as well push the limits rather than create something too simple. This fresh pair was designed by TEC who chose to go a bold, but sophisticated route with his creation. The shoe sports a premium brown leather upper with some shiny brown croc-skin on the toe box, mid panels and heel tab. For accents, TEC has included a beige fabric Swoosh and a beige midsole, as well as a gum outsole, leather lining and touches of red on the tongue label and heel stripe/branding. Hats off to TEC for whipping up one of the better Bespokes we’ve seen so far, and if you want to create your own, you can make an appointment now at the NSW 21 Mercer store.

Nike Zoom Skyposite Kryptonate December 2009

Nate Robinson’s Kryptonate Foamposite Lites were one of the biggest sneaker stories of the year and now the Krypto-theme is coming back for round two on another Posite model. A few days back, we gave you a look at the upcoming Amar’e Stoudemire Zoom Skyposite PE edition that uses a gradient coloring effect to add some spice to the simple design. This “Kryptonate” Skyposite goes a similar route, sporting a foam upper that transitions from Green Spark at the top to Electric Green at the bottom. A White Swoosh and additional Black accents finish off the color scheme with a clear Lunar outsole adding the cherry on top. While there is no indicated Nate Robinson connection on these kicks, its nearly impossible that anyone will see them without thinking of Nate hurdling Dwight Howard in the green Foamposite Lites during last year’s NBA Slam Dunk Contest. These are expected to hit stores some time in December, but for now, you can check out a bunch more pics after the jump. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

Ray Allen Hiding Air Jordan PEs Throughout New England

Ever wondered what happened to the huge quantity of NBA PE sneakers?  Michael Jordan fans know that His Airness rocked a crispy pair of Jays *every half*, over 2,000 pairs for the regular season alone!  Ray Allen has his fair share of Air Jordan PEs, so he’s hiding them throughout New England and posting clues in the form of photos and captions on Twitter (presumably from a cell phone, which would explain the strange photo sizes).  Take a look at the photos after the jump and if you recognize them from the Massachusetts/Connecticut area, try to go grab them for yourself.  Be forewarned: Sugar Ray has threatened to cease gifting his kicks if the finders are found to resell them on the ‘bay.  To all the greedy cats out there, hold off on tryin’ to flip these for a while so we can see how deep the collection is.  Check out more photos, including the Air Jordan True Flight in a Boston area park.

Nike Air Hoop Structure Air Jordan VIII (8) Aqua Inspired Sample

When a Nike Air Structure Triax 91 hit the market this April looking like the lovechild of Air Jordan V’s (5) ‘Grape’ and Air Jordan VIII’s (8) ‘Aqua’ colourways.  At the time, we had no clue that the Triax 91 would be reborn as a basketball shoe, taking this combination to its logical conclusion.  The Nike Air Hoop Structure pictured above skips the Grapes and goes straight to the Aqua VIIIs for inspration, even including the AJVIII’s signature vector graphics.  These will drop later this year but early adopters could cop size 9 today from verbdws on eBay.

Lupe Fiasco x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High 1Hund(Red) Collection Entry #80

The first time we got a glimpse at Lupe Fiasco’s entry for the Converse 1Hund(RED) Collection, it was essntially the opposite of what we seee above.  That earlier model in black patent leather may or may not still be on the way, but the white canvas joints above are a sure thing.  The 80th entrant into this joint effort to fight AIDS in Africa, the Fiasco-designed Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High has what looks to be old newsprint screened onto the uppers.  It makes for an interesting contrast to the handwritten message on the midsole.  If you’re feeling the use of typefaces as colour/texture, grab yours from the Converse online store.  via FRESHNESS

Nike Air Foamposite Eggplant x Neon Swapped Sole Customs by Jason Negron

When most people think of customs, they picture painted sneakers and maybe some new materials, but occasionally, a sneakerhead gets a little more ambitious and decides to go a more unexplored route. Customizer came up with a bold concept for his Air Foamposites and actually had the guts to give it a shot. After going through an understandable trial and error period, Jason eventually figured out a pretty seamless way to create new colorways of some classic Nike models. As you can see, he has removed the outsoles from an Eggplant and Neon pair of Air Foamposites and switched them up to give both shoes an entirely new look that’s fully wearable. Like you may imagine, this is an involved process and we don’t recommend that you try this at home, but if you’re interested in getting your own soles swapped, you can contact Jason through PackerShoes. Be sure to check out some more pics after the jump and stay tuned for a look at more of these clever creations in the near future.
