Not sure if this actually qualifies as magic, but somehow the classic Nike Blazer High design with vintage treatments manages to look perfectly modern. This pair goes with a nice grey tumbled leather upper and a bright red smooth leather Swoosh to match the heel embroidery. It’s a rich look that would have any Ohio State van salivating, but they manage major crossover appeal to anyone who wants the weathered look by way of yellowed tongues and midsoles. They seem to have white laces, interestingly enough, so you’ll have to get those dirty for yourself. First, though, you’ll have to cop them from 95Soleman on eBay.

A black pair of Nike Dunk Lows with yellow speckles on the toebox just dropped at Nike Sportswear retailers nationwide. This hightop uses a very similar design but achieves a significantly different effect. Firt off, the speckles are everywhere. The entire upper is covered in tiny yellow splats, a texture interrupted by the all-black patent leather Swooshes. We’ve seen the lows with black laces and a white midsole and it’s surprising how different the use of yellow laces and a black midsole can make these appear. You can preorder them today from Schuh-You.

College football is back to normal this fall. Miami just beat two ranked opponents, Nebraska is back in the top 25 and this Nike Vandal High makes alot more sense than it did when we first saw it a couple months back. The University of Michigan football program was on the rocks with allegations of NCAA violations and back to back sub-par seasons, but a win in the final minutes against Notre Dame and these kicks should make everything alright. adidas has supplied Michigan with their athletic gear for the last few years, but these Wolverine-striped Vandals make us wonder if putting together Swooshes with maize and blue might help them on the gridiron. Whether you’re in Ann Arbor (about to) tailgat(ing)e for the Eastern Michigan game or anywhere else not spelled ‘C-O-L-U-M-B-U-S’, you can cop these from LTD.

The photo above is like Kanye West’s own ‘Evolution of Man’. No, we don’t mean that he’s growing as an artist and a person after dealing with more than one controversy conspicuously humbly of late (way to almost-tearfully apologize, ‘Ye). More like, it took a while to build the Nike Air Yeezy. We already know how many different midsole combinations KW and the IK (Nike’s Innovation Kitchen) went through before settling on the Air Jordan III-like Air Assault Retro tooling. Take a look at more sketches after the jump; would you have copped the yellow/grey version had it hit retail? via SC

Jordan Brand has already celebrated Michael’s induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame last week with a special pack of Hall of Fame-inspired Air Jordan sneakers and now they have just released a related collection of apparel as well. Jordan’s illustrious career is honored with a Black leather letterman’s jacket and a hooded zip-up sweatshirt that list some of Mike’s stats and accomplishments down the sleeves. Joining the outerwear are some like-minded t-shirts. One style pays homage to his 6 rings as well as some individual achievements and the other features an image of MJ’s face that is actually made up of a jumble of numbers that are significant to his career. You can get a closer look at the entire collection after the jump, and if there’s something you’ve gotta have, you can find all this Jordan gear at NikeStore now.

The Nike Air Safari has been around since 1987 and although it is now considered a classic, the road to immortality has been a little different than most 80′s Nike models. The Air Safari is a rare case in which the “Safari” pattern that they are best known for has actually eclipsed the original shoe in terms of fame. By now, everybody knows the Safari pattern well, but some younger sneakerheads might not even know where it got its start. There have been a few relatively slept-on Retro releases of the Air Safari, but now that the pattern has become so much more widely recognizable in recent years, Nike has decided to bring the shoe back once again, this time in some eye-catching new colorways.
The Holiday ’09 season will see the release of two new versions of the Air Safari, sure to make more of an impression this time around. One sports a combination of grey and black on the upper with some bright orange accents and contrast stitching. The other stays closer to the OG colorway, swapping out the original orange for red and adding some yellow stitching to the mix. You can see the other new colorway after the jump and stay tuned for more info and pics as the release approaches. Via SneakersBR.

First the Nike Air Flight Condor morphed from a low/mid cut to a hightop and now it’s transitioning from mostly subdued colourways into something more adventurous. This pair features a few shades of grey, but instead of settling with that like an earlier pair, they add neon greens and bright yellow, plus tonal brown elephant-like print and hits of Carolina blue on the top and bottom eyelets. It sounds like a mouthful but somehow it all comes togehter quite nicely. If you’re feelin the funky palette on this nu-retro baller, cop em today from Finish Line.

Over the last week or so, we’ve been keeping you on top of the new collaboration project between Nike Sportswear and UK rapper, Dizzee Rascal. The two sides have joined forces to create a special new version of the Air Max 90 to help celebrate the release of Dizzee’s new album, Tongue N’ Cheek. Yesterday, a launch event was held to officially introduce the collaboration and present the fresh new shoe in person to attendees. As expected, Dizzee Rascal was in the house to show off the kicks and discuss the inspiration and process behind the design. As mentioned in previous posts, the Tongue N’ Cheek Air Max 90 will be dropping today at Nike Sportswear London, so if you’re in the area, you might want to stop by before they’re gone. If you miss out on the kicks, take consolation in the fact that at least you will be able to cop Dizzee Rascals new album when it hits stores next week. Via Freshness.

When the Nike Auto Force 180 came onto the scene a short while back, one of the first colourways we got an extended look at was the New York Knicks (or Mets) pair in blue leather with orange accents. Since the similarly vulcanized Auto Flight High is getting a Lakers colourup, this Chicago pair has us expecting something autoclaved in green to satisfy the Celtics fans. But for now, Chi-town is on high, covering this midtop in a variety of leathers and nubuck. Especially nice is the tonal safari print knap on the nubuck mudguard. It’s a can’t miss colourway and you can grab yours today from Finish Line.

Here’s yet another addition to adidas’ Def Jam 25th Anniversary Collection. Redman was the first of the Blunt Brothers for adidas to release, and now it’s Meth’s turn. Also a Superstar II, the combination of materials perfectly depicts the Wu-Tang Clansman as a diverse entertainer, using leather, suede and ripstop. Like the Redman Superstars, a portrait on the tongue, his nickname under the adidas branding- in this case “Ticallion Stallion,” and the tab on the heel sporting his name. Also found on these is the famous upside down W that has famously represented the successful rapper since the beginning of his solo career. ”All you need to get by…” is to cop these at Extra Butter.
