It turns out the first release of the new Nike Air Maxim Trainer 1 ND doesn’t take its green hits from the OG Air Trainer 1. It was a logical hypothesis, given the addition of some Trainer flavor to the Nike Air Maxim 1 nu-retro runner, it was natural to look at the bright green elements and say to yourself, “Ah, Chlorophyll.” In these latest photos, we can see clearly now, Nike opted for the brighter Green Spark, which might one day become singularly identified with this new design. That depends on you, and whether you and your friends take to these. If you like em, cop today from Schuh-You.

Spark Pack redux? Not quite. The Nike Dunk High Premium is back and it definitely resembles the aforementioned woolen joints from last winter. These go with a visibly smooth black leather for most of the upper, save the woolen ankle collar that hearkens back to the Spark joints and should keep people in the ‘(Athletics) North’ warm. These don’t have the Spark Pack’s 0.44 Sticky Rubber sole, but they do look perfect for fall, so grab yours today from Purchaze.

We’ve seen plenty of Nikes with that unmistakable Lakers look lately. The pair pictured above is a West-reppin’ addition to the Nike Rivals Pack, the Nike Auto Flight LE Quickstrike in purple and gold. The orange and blue Nike Auto Force 180 LE Quickstrike could go either way on the ‘Mets or Knicks?’ question, but we wonder if either of those teams is really anyone’s ‘rival’ these days. New York basketball fans might have to settle for this vulcanized retro refresh until they make moves to try and sign LeBron. Both of them are available on neutral territory at DC’s Major.

The big year for the Nike Air Max 1 rages on as two fresh new colorways prepare to release for the ladies. Last week, we gave you a look at a Red suede edition of the Air Max 1, and now we turn our attention to two more subtle versions of the classic shoe that also take a simple approach to the color-blocking, using tonal suede/mesh uppers with White accents and speckled midsoles. One pair sports a Black upper with a White midsole, while the other features a Light Grey upper with a Metallic Silver tint on the midsole. Both new Air Max 1 colorways will be arriving in women’s sizes very soon at select Nike retailers such as CrookedTongues.

Before they rocked navy blue, red and white, the Atlanta Hawks used to rock a palette that used yellow instead of blue. Perhaps memories of performances like the one that inspired the above pictured Air Jordans (and maybe those hilarious graphic jerseys from the early ’90s) are what inspired the team to adopt a new look. This Air Jordan 60+ is a not so subtle reminder of one of the many times MJ got the best of the A’s home team. They go with a black upper and yellow stitching just like the Air Jordan 1 Retro Phat Premier that makes up the other half of this backhanded tribute. These should be dropping next month, so Sneaker News will keep you updated. via Millennium Shoes

Much to the delight of fans of the brand, A Bathing Ape just keeps coming up with fresh new looks for the Bapesta. At first glance, this version keeps things pretty simple, but a closer look will reveal some subtle stylish touches. The shoe sports a black on black patent leather upper with the tonal theme following through all the way down to the midsole and outsole. Other than the white tongue label, the only accents come by way of the metallic silver and red illustration that is placed diagonally on the rear section of the upper. If you like what you see here, you can grab a pair now from the Bape online store.

Aside from the obvious retro releases, have we ever seen a basketball shoe released in so many scorching hot colourways when its successor is imminent? The Nike Zoom Kobe IV has some amazing staying power and this version completes a theme that fits its design perfectly. The last of a trio of ZK4s with a midfoot gradient follows in the steps of the ’4 Rings’ Quickstrike version, swapping the Away joints’ black for white to better fit in at Staples Center. We’ll keep you updated with release info on these white hot wonders. via MarqueeSole

Carrie Mundane pulled the old switcheroo and had us thinking these were a thing of the past. Last year’s single Blazer High and all of the previews before last week suggested the first version we saw was all there was on the way from Cassette Playa. The sudden appearance of an orange-soled release, then, appeared to be a replacement. Turns out, the ‘original’ Nike Dunk High with googly eyes is also hitting retail shelves. These have the same translucent Swooshes but achieve a much darker look. Grab yours today from NikeStore.
