In a jealous fit, you might find yourself wondering why they even make shoes this limited. This April saw a 50 pair re-run of 2005′s Playstation 2 Nike Air Force 1 Low in honour of the console’s 10th anniversary. These are even more limited at only 24 pairs and possibly even better. The Nike Trainer 1 takes on the trend du jour, colouring the left side panel and heel in blue ‘X’ buttons while the right goes with pink squares. The forefoot Flywire sections have a nice multicolour effect that looks like it’s probably a lenticular fabric. The Free soles are normally more for function than aesthetics, but these add translucent jelly inserts in various neon hues also appearing on the uppers. Take a look a another hot collaboration between Nike and Sony and let us know if these are superiour to the earlier PlayStation sneakers. via SC

Kobe, LeBron and Chris Paul all went to Asia on Nike-sponsored tours this summer. Steve Nash isn’t widely considered in that very top tier of NBA superstars anymore but he can still generate some hype for a new signature kick overseas. The Nike Cradle Rock Low Supreme looks a little like the Nike Zoom LeBron VI Low if you look at it just right. The Supreme Asia Pack consists of a seafoam green China version, blue for the Philippines, and red Japan and orange Thailand joints rounding out the group. Initially thought to be an Asia exclusive, it has just been confirmed that these will be hitting House of Hoops locations this Friday, September 18th. Keep reading after the jump for a detailed look at all four. via FootLockerUnlocked.

Air Jordans are bought and sold everyday on eBay, but the last week has seen some extraordinarily intriguing items up for auction. Just today, we have already showed you a vintage pair of Air Jordan 1 AJKO’s and a game-worn Air Jordan 2009 PE signed by Ray Allen. Now, we get a look at something that trumps them all. The shoe that you are looking at is not the look-see sample pair (seen on eBay last month) that was being considered as the Air Jordan X installment of the Countdown Packs. These are a pair actually worn by Michael in a March 1, 1995 win against the Miami Heat during the #45 comeback season. The kicks are naturally Michael’s size 13 and sport a White upper with Red and Black Chicago Bulls-inspired accents and his number 45 stitched on the ankle.
As you can imagine, the price on these is going to get pretty absurd considering the rare nature of the shoe, not to mention the fact that they actually once graced MJ’s feet during an NBA game. With two days left in the auction, the bids are approaching $8,000, but it will not be surprising at all to see that number continue to climb significantly before reaching the deadline. You can see some more pics of the kicks and their original box after the jump, and if you’re ready to break the bank for these, you can take your best shot at winning this amazing collector’s piece from jigsaw2333 on eBay.

With all the talk about how dope it would be to own the Grammy or AJ VI-soled Yeezy sample, take a load of these prototypes and realize how many different forms the Air Yeezy could have taken. Though we’ve previously seen an inside look at the production process, Nike’s Mark Smith and Tiffany Beers discuss several ideas, dead-ends and problems they encountered while trying to execute the best possible version of Nike’s first non-athlete signature shoe.
Ever wonder why images of the glow-in-the-dark soles look so bright? It’s not photoshopped if that’s what you’re thinking. The design team meticulously experimented with different mixes of rubber to get the brightest and long lasting glow without compromising the integrity of the sole. But even before they decided on the glow route, Kanye pushed for a battery-operated illuminating sole. Some may speculate he would want something like this, trying to embrace the futuristic aura of the “most likely never to be retailed,” Marty McFly prototype. Nonetheless, Nike found it to be more practical to drop this concept. Not only was the glow agreed to make a better look, those who were able to grab a pair of Air Yeezy’s would have supposedly been paying far more if they contained this electro luminescence technology.
It seems that most of the design variations lied in the aesthetics of the midsole. One of the images after the jump shows a very rare look samples of midsoles with “Death Star” contours where an air bag would typically be on Nike’s. Fortunately for us, the final product donned a more familiar look endearing to most sneakerheads’ hearts. Hold up Kanye, Nike can’t use Jordan templates! Behold a clever solution… thanks to Yeezy himself, actually. The canny artist managed to surpass a technicality by using the tooling for the Nike Air Assault Retro, which is pretty much the same midsole as the Air Jordan III but has Nike branding on the sole. What would we do without Kanye’s strive to go the distance? Not a dope shoe, and certainly not a plethora of samples. Be sure to check out the images below for an even more in-depth look at the making of the Air Yeezy. via SC.

Okay, so you already know all about the recently released Air Jordan VII Bulls vs. Magic DMP pack, but at the time, many of you expressed an interest in only one or the other. Obviously, the OG Charcoal Grey pair was most peoples’ preference, but a lot of you with a more open mind to something new were actually feeling the Orlando Magic pair as well, in some cases, maybe even more. As with most multi-shoe packs, you’re usually going to prefer one over the other, and for some, it keeps them from buying the pack. If you’re a fan of the Magic Air Jordan VII, you can get them by themselves with half of the DMP collector’s box now from StepToRun on eBay.

Featured in the preview for the Spring 2010 collection, Nike SB drops a Dunk Mid that acknowledges the skate fashion of the 90′s. When skate shoes were specifically worn for just that- skating, kids tearing up the streets preferred simple colorways, preferably colors that would hide scuff marks and minor tears. With a leather upper and suede vamp, this black/white with gum sole is a classic. The absence of contrasting colored panels is reminiscent of the simple cut & sew ideology of that in much earlier skate shoes. Expect these to drop sometime in January. Via N-SB.org

Air Jordan PE’s are nothing new to Ray Allen, but it’s not everyday that an autographed game-worn pair shows up on eBay. This Boston Celtics-inspired pair of Air Jordan 2009′s sports a Black on Black upper with a healthy supply of Green accents and Ray’s number 20 etched into the tongue. This pair is a size 14 worn by Ray in a game last season and have been signed with a silver marker on the toe of the left shoe and the midpanel of the right one. If you are a fan of Ray Allen, the Celtics or just can’t pass up a sweet Jordan PE, you can get in on the bidding now courtesy of happybuyers11 on eBay.

The Air Jordan Hallowed Ground might be seen on NBA courts more often than the original Jays they are loosely based on. We see glimpses of Air Jordans IX (9) and X (10) but the splatter print and gradient on their midsoles lends a new vibe to the Hallowed Ground. These models are likely to be geared toward teams as they add a single colour to a mostly white upper. We’ll keep you updated with release info. via FC.T

A lot of people weren’t sure what to think of the new Nike Zoom Skyposite after seeing some preview images, commenting that the design was so much simpler than what we would expect to see from a Posite basketball model. These pics of the upcoming Amar’e Stoudemire PE edition of the Skyposite not only give us our best look yet at all angles of the shoe, but the interesting color application gives this version some added style. We’ve seen Amar’e get some nice Posite PE’s in the past, and now he receives one of his most eye-catching pairs to date. The shoe features a Black foam upper that sports a gradient transition from Black down to Light purple towards the Lunar midsole. As an extra PE touch, the kicks also flaunt a special tongue label displaying Amar’e's “AS” initial logo. You can check out a bunch of great pics after the jump and look for these to hit House of Hoops locations some time in December. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

The Nike Air Structure Triax 91 is a shoe that has always reminded your author of spring. With this pair, I’ll add Sprite to the mix. The Triax 91 is back, now a solid regular in the Nike Sportswear lineup. This model for next spring goes with a white mix of patent leather and mesh on the upper. It’s already shiny and reflective, so adding more patent leather, this time in a deep blue, on the heel tab, plus lime green accents elsewhere really gives these some life.
