2009 has been a huge year for the Nike Air Trainer series. Not only did Nike introduce the new Trainer 1, but to celebrate, they have been bringing back new and OG colorways of the Air Trainer 1, II and III, as well as the Air Trainer SC. Fans of the Trainer line will be happy to see that more colorways are on the way for Summer 2010. Here we have a look at two new versions of the Trainer SC with a classic look. Both feature White leather uppers with hits of Grey, one using Red as its accent color and the other in Blue. Back in July, we saw an alternate version of the “Beet” Air Trainer SC that was slated for a November release, but since it is pretty similar to the one pictured here, it is unclear which will actually be released, but it is unlikely that we will see both. We’ll let you know as soon as more info becomes available. Via NT.

There’s an earthquake on the way so powerful it can’t be restrained to a single area. Well, actually, earthquakes can’t be held up at all, but you get the point: the ‘Hufquake’ pattern is back in a major way. Appearing in a cameo on the Mighty Crown x Nike Dynasty Premium High, Hufquake is a key design element in the new Nike Air Max 90 Current ‘Huf’arache. It’s clear what’s happened here: we get the Nike Air Max Current Huarache done up in the signature Huf palette. It’s part of a broad East vs. West initiative Nike is rolling with this fall/winter so stick with Sneaker News for updates on these (currently available for pre-order), the East coast DQM-designed counterpart, and any other hot new kicks. via SnkrFrkr

We’ve seen plenty of sneakers adopt the pastel tones found on the art deco buildings on Miami’s South Beach. The latest is a new Reebok Pump Court Victory 2 somewhat obviously dubbed ‘Miami Vice’. They bear no direct relationship with the 80s TV show or 2006 film but rock big splashes of pink and teal atop a white base. They add a flamingo to the outer heel and an obvious Don Johnson silhouette to the insole to complete the theme. Grab these now from VA.

Leftfoot looked to the infamous early 90s tees depicting lightning, wolves and other nature for design cues on this pack. The premium materials show we’re not serious about this tacky inspiration, but the New Balance CM999 Feral Creature Pack uses that wild vibe for its promotional materials. Leftfoot and mita sneakers’ designs said to resemble a lion and a mouse respectively both use faux fur, horsehair and some animal teeth embroidered into the heel. The tongues are numbered for this limited edition and if you look down you’ll notice bamboo insoles. An eighteen year old shoe graces the cover of SneakerFreaker‘s 16th release. To be completely accurate, it’s only on one of four collectors covers, but the SNKRFRKR x New Balance 850 ‘Skippy’ captures all of that Melbourne flavour. We see the green and yellow that frequent the Australian national team’s jerseys, balanced out with black, white and gold. No word yet on a release date with these, so we’ll keep you posted.

Though Def Jam has had adidas create some shoes to honor their success and 25th anniversary, the record label powerhouse has also produced some to pay respect to some of their staple artists who have not only help build the company itself, but have created legendary names of their own. Here an adidas Superstar II for the likes of Def Jam’s funny man and super MC, Redman. Featuring a rather vibrant red suede upper and speckled sole, the shoe design is made to resemble his breakthrough album, “Whut? Thee Album.” Additionally, a portrait of is found on the tongue, and the typical branding on the back of the midsole and the heel tab is respectively replaced with “Redman” and his other moniker, “Funk Doc.” To top things off, the pair comes with a second pair of infrared type colored laces, just in case the radiance of the upper itself wasn’t loud enough. Along with these Superstars, adidas has also manufactured a tshirt that also features Def Jam and Redman branding, as well as nods to his album. Executing just as hard as one of Redman’s punchlines, these can be found at select adidas retailers like Extra Butter.

The Air Structure Triax 91 seems to come out with some of the dopest colorways, and this one is of no exception. With a more subtle attitude, the black suede upper rests upon a polka dotted mesh underlay. Most of the pop comes from the bottom up, with a bright pink and purple conturing along and air bridge and sole. The light grey midsole creates a nice barrier to balance between the top and bottom’s tonal differences. Be on the lookout along with all the other dope Nikes dropping Spring 2010. Back in 2000, the Air Flightposite II helped to usher Nike into the new millennium with one of the most futuristic blends of style and function ever seen on a basketball model. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the classic shoe, Nike will be re-releasing the Air Flightposite II LE in a few different colorways. A few months ago, we gave you a preview of two colorways from the upcoming Spring 2010 collection and now we get our best look yet at the Black pair. The shoe sports a simple Black on Black upper and although the Retro version sticks to the OG blueprint for the most part, there are a few noticeable changes.
Like in the case of the Air Garnett III, which has now become the Air Max III, Nike has been forced to remove the Kevin Garnett references from the Flightposite II as well. As a result, the Garnett name tab and the OBF (Official Block Family) nod have been understandably eliminated from all colorways of the 2010 version. Changes or not, it’s safe to say that they won’t stop these from being one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of the new year. Keep reading for a detailed look and be advised that these are scheduled for a January 16th drop. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

Nike has Quickstrikes, Hyperstrikes, Tier Zero releases and the like, Vans has their Vault, adidas apparently runs a Consortium. The Asics Directional Level doesn’t allow it to smoothly fit in with that list, but it’s a group that well suits Asics’ new premium lineup. You can expect a focus on premium releases including collaborative efforts from this new release tier when they become available at Europe’s best sneaker boutiques. First upcoming are a duo of pairs for September. There’s a white Asics GT II that incorporates purple and electric blue alongside a Gel-Lyte Speed that goes for a stark contrast with green, purple and black on the upper. Check out these and other upcoming releases from Asics Directional Level photos after the jump. via Endorsed

This is for those loving the Lebron VII craze. Though still no confirmed release info for these, here’s yet another close look at the China Editions. The white/gold color combo may not be for everybody, but a white upper with tonal Chinese styled characters and designs, along with a gold toebox and accents within the Flywire paneling makes this quite an impressive sneaker. What’s considerable is the fact that the graphics are not gratuitous but in fact incorporate Lebron’s name in Chinese. Thanks to Kenlu forum member, Terrence, for these images.

Here’s the latest in a long line of posthumous ‘collaborations’ between Reebok’s Affili’art Colelction and American neo-expressionist Jean-Michel Basquiat. These take the appropriately named Reebok NPC Clean lowtop to a place its never been before. Atop a smooth leather upper we see sketchy handwriting that has the look of Basquiat’s work. The base is black, whtie or yellow, depending on where you look, but everywhere has plenty of orange and blue accents. If you can rock these without feeling pretentious, cop them from VA.
