Dizzee Rascal’s fourth album is set to drop next Tuesday so Nike is going to drop the Ben Drury-designed Air Max 90s with its name on their tongues this Friday. Into a pink leather tongue, the words ‘TONGUE’ ‘N’CHEEK’ are sewn in red blobby letters. You definitely get the impression of the tongue, and so perhaps the cheek is the creamy soft leather and suede on the uppers. In any case, Dirtee Stank Records made a teaser video with a piece from ‘Chillin Wiv Da Man Dem’. Click the jump to watch the video and get your last minute travel arrangements in order.

That’s quite a spread we see above. Nike Sportswear’s 21 Mercer St. flagship store in New York just got a run of new kicks. These five represent some of the Swoosh’s best all-time designs. From left to right we have a Pittsburg Steelers-looking Air Force 1 Low, then three Air Max runners. The Air Max 2009 rocks a black, grey and blue colourway that’s similar to the Air Max 90 Current to its right, just a different shade of blue. A new Air Max 95 fades from a white midsole up to a black tongue, adding bright red accents to the flipped script. Last but not least is the Air Max Goadome boot in black leather. All of these are available at 21 Mercer and other NSW retailers.

Though many would love enjoying bright days and scorching temperatures, the Summer season will soon fade and bring forth the chill of Winter. Many sneakerheads tend to not look forward to it because snow equals the inability to rock much heat. However, Jordan Brand thinks differently with the Air Jordan Spiz’ike Winterized Boot. Using the silhouette of the Spiz’ike, JB adds a chunkier sole to conquer snowy conditions, along with a lightweight water-repellant lining to make these bad boys waterproof up to two inches. Also throw in the durable round laces to fit that perfect boot look. Endure any harsh envionrment. Available in Black/Anthracite leather, and Dark Cinder/Black in nubuck, cop both pairs at Extra Butter.

Lists are very much like the Air Jordan Spiz’ike Complex ranked as the 47th best sneaker of the last decade. In their own words, “Some make you look like a douche, some are great.” Getting sneakerheads to agree on a top 100 list is essentially impossible. You’re going to read through (part of) this list and get angry that your favourite sneakers are missing or think some should be higher or lower, but this list is undeniably interesting.
And they do several things really well. Even if you liked different co-stars, they did a good job of noting how important collaborative sneaker designs were to the last ten. We see plenty from the early days of Nike SB and the early wave of modern sneakerhead history. They even had the good sense to include your author’s favorite, the perforated suede DQM-designed three pack of Nike Dunk Highs from last year, albeit all the way down at 29. Take a look at a few of them after the jump, read the list and come back to complain/discuss.

If this is a race, we have a leader out the gate. The Nike East vs. West Rivals Pack may have expanded to include more territory, but let’s not forget about the foundation of this collective theme. Here come two Nike Dunks for the East coast. The High rocks the Gucci palette, laying black ostrich leather atop full grain forest green. A croc Swoosh is a nice touch on top. As for the Low, its the yellow-speckled black pair made entirely of nubuck. Take a look at good shots of both and cop them today at 21 Mercer St. or any good Nike Sportswear retailer.

Before Jordan Brand ballers Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson set up shop at the Phillips Arena, the Atlanta Hawks were in a sad state. It’s possible that they were reeling after about a decade of being whooped in some way or another by Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls. An early example of MJ’s Hawk-taming came on April 16, 1987 when he crushed the A for 61 at the end of the regular season. Here’s the fat tongued Air Jordan 1 Phat Premier 60+ Points Collection release that commemorates that day. Rich black leather in a mix of stretched full grain and a lightly tumbled overlay looks nice with yellow stitching. Don’t forget the red laces and chenille Swooshes. They’re yours if you want em, just ask Extra Butter.

In a jealous fit, you might find yourself wondering why they even make shoes this limited. This April saw a 50 pair re-run of 2005′s Playstation 2 Nike Air Force 1 Low in honour of the console’s 10th anniversary. These are even more limited at only 24 pairs and possibly even better. The Nike Trainer 1 takes on the trend du jour, colouring the left side panel and heel in blue ‘X’ buttons while the right goes with pink squares. The forefoot Flywire sections have a nice multicolour effect that looks like it’s probably a lenticular fabric. The Free soles are normally more for function than aesthetics, but these add translucent jelly inserts in various neon hues also appearing on the uppers. Take a look a another hot collaboration between Nike and Sony and let us know if these are superiour to the earlier PlayStation sneakers. via SC

Kobe, LeBron and Chris Paul all went to Asia on Nike-sponsored tours this summer. Steve Nash isn’t widely considered in that very top tier of NBA superstars anymore but he can still generate some hype for a new signature kick overseas. The Nike Cradle Rock Low Supreme looks a little like the Nike Zoom LeBron VI Low if you look at it just right. The Supreme Asia Pack consists of a seafoam green China version, blue for the Philippines, and red Japan and orange Thailand joints rounding out the group. Initially thought to be an Asia exclusive, it has just been confirmed that these will be hitting House of Hoops locations this Friday, September 18th. Keep reading after the jump for a detailed look at all four. via FootLockerUnlocked.
