DC Shoes Admiral Sport Chrome January 2010

A couple of years ago at the height of ‘Bling’, these might have gotten you kidnapped.  As it stands, all-chrome treatments have emerged in luxury markets, but the above pictured kicks might not be quite enough to spark violence.  We’re not taking anything away from the DC Shoes Admiral Sport, which is sufficiently shiny that narcissists and funhouse enthusiasts might be stuck following you around, staring at your every step.  Just a little bit of red along with a woven ankle strap bring these back down to Earth, but you can be sure that people will be calling these your ‘space boots’.  They’ll drop on New Year’s Day 2010 at DC LIFE retailers.

Nike Vunk (GS) Dunk + Air Max 95 Hybrid

There’s always a battle shopping for the little ones because of their reluctancy to like the stuff parents buy in their ongoing search for bargains.  In this case, instead of 2-for-1, youngster’s enjoy 2-in1.  Nike brings two of their most popular styles together in the form of the new Nike Vunk.  We gave a preview of these way back in April, and they are now hitting retailers.  The shoe holds the Dunk silhouette, but the mid panels and eyelets get the AM95 treatment.  This particular one, although not the exact same colorway, gives nods to probably the most famous 95 colorway – Grey/Neon Yellow.  Surprise the kiddies with these from Finishline.

Nike Dunk High Premium Dotty Pack December 2009

Here come even more speckled Nike Dunks with an East coast bias.  We’ve seen two others, both mixing black, white and yellow with a little help from the speckled ‘mess’.  Those lowtops chose their speckled spots carefully, whereas this pack of Nike Dunk Highs both use an allover splatter to contrast an otherwise monotone construction.  The red pair has blue specks and mixes nubuck with nylon while a black pair is mostly smooth suede and adds a patent leather Swoosh along with electolime dotting.  SnkrFrkr is calling these the ‘Dotty Pack’ and has them slated for a December release (you can pre-order the black pair at Schuh You).  Stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Celebrity Feet: Lebron James And Nike Hosts Celebrity Basketball Game
Willie McGee, LeBron James and coach Drue Joyce

With the amount of celebrities in LA, LeBron and Nike made an excellent choice in hosting a Celebrity Basketball Game during the last stop of the More than a Game Tour in Los Angeles. LeBron was with his crew from More than a Game but a host of other film actors, musicians and TV and radio personalities were also on hand for the event. Take a look below for Celebrity Feet photos from the event…

Air Jordan 2010 (XXV) Sneak Preview

Late last month, a sample image of the Air Jordan 2010 popped up, but at the time, it was uncertain how close the pic would be to the final version. Now, we get a peek at an actual sample, and from the look of it, it seems like the original image that leaked was actually pretty legit. As you can see, the Air Jordan 2010 will flaunt a variety of premium-looking materials on the upper with a large Jumpman logo appearing in a circle on the side of the shoe. Other touches of note are a mesh-like section of the upper and a stylish textured midsole. many Air Jordan fans will also be elated to see the classic Black/Red/Grey color scheme making its way back to an Air Jordan shoe. There’s no word yet if this exact colorway will actually release, but stay tuned for further info and pics as they begin to leak. Via Warped.

Leroy Smith x Air Jordan 1 Sneak Preview

By now, you probably all know the name Leroy Smith, as in the man who motivated Michael Jordan. Leroy’s story is well-documented at this point, and with Michael’s recent Hall of Fame induction, it seems only right for Jordan Brand to do their part to honor the man to whom MJ owes most of his success. Leroy Smith’s long-overdue tribute will be coming in the form of an Air Jordan 1 High that has been outfitted with some eye-catching colors and prints that could very well be found on one of Leroy’s infamously wacky warm-up suits. The shoe sports sections of Black and Gold leather on the upper with additional touches of Red, Blue and Purple. The Leroy Smith Air Jordan 1 also features a Black midsole with a gum outsole and the cherry on top comes by way of Leroy’s logo on the tongue label. If you’re a fan of Leroy or just like this wild colorway, be on the lookout for these to hit select Jordan Brand retailers in limited quantities in the near future.  Via TSG.

Nike Terminator High ND Winter Journey Pack Black Purple

Depending on where you are, it might feel like it’s impossible, but winter isn’t too terribly far away.  The kind corporate citizens of Beaverton, Oregon want to make sure you’re prepared, so they’re ready to warm your feet with these new ‘Winter Journey’ Pack Terminator Highs.  This is the first of two we’ll see (check tomorrow for a brown pair) that join a lowtop in the pack, featuring a Native American-style blanket design on the upper heel.  This one has a really interesting mix of colours somehow avoids a feminine look by juxtaposing the purple, pink and bright multicoloured laces with some simple primary colours on the blanket area.  Expect these later this year and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII More Than A Game Artist Series + City Pack Los Angeles

The LeBron James More Than A Game World Tour has covered some serious ground in the last month, hitting ten different cities on three different continents along the way. On Saturday, the tour made its final stop in Los Angeles, and with that, as you know, means new City Pack and Artist Series editions of the Air Max LeBron VII. Like the other City Pack versions, the Los Angeles installment sports the city name on the back of the Air bubble with the tongue and medial windows showing off a classic snapshot of high-school age LeBron storming onto the court. The Artist Series version for Los Angeles sees the Air Max LeBron VII get one of its most creative makeovers yet thanks to local artist C.R. Stecyk III. Stecyk captures the laid back L.A. vibe with a combination of Metallic Rust and Gold to rep the both the local soil and the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and some blue sky graphics with the silhouettes of palm trees on one shoe and telephone poles on the other. Keep reading after the jump for detailed looks at both pairs and to get some more info on the artist and his motivation behind this clever interpretation.

Nike Blazer High Foamposite Pine Green Black Winter 2009

Why force the Foamposite-inspired pack of Nike retro basketball kicks to stick to the original release colours?  We’ve already seen a nod to both the Air Foamposite One and its Eggplant purple offspring, but this new Nike Blazer High suggests a new member for the foamy fam.  Pictured above we catch a glimpse at the never before seen forest green foam look.  These carry the Posite family’s iridescent shine but because the green is so dep, they avoid a radioactive look like the Kryptonate Foamposite Lites.  Expect these before ’10 begins at Foot Locker and other Nike Sportswear specialists.

Air Jordan 1 High Strap Black Voltage Yellow

With the holiday shopping season right around the corner (already?!), Jordan Brand is dropping two similar pairs of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap.  Both of them are in black and use a single accent colour in teh same places, but the use of different materials and slightly different striping on the strap makes us hesitate to call this a ‘pack’.  The orion blue pair is set to drop in November, with this voltage yellow and black pair set for an October release.  If you like how the leathers of varying shininess causes a tonal effect, cop these today from Chapter Outlet.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV Gradient LA Lakers Away

Even though there’s a fifth signature release presumably soon on the way, Nike continues to crank out new colourways of the Zoom Kobe IV.  This version is one of the more impressive we’ve seen, starting with black at the toe and ending with purple at the heel.  The synthetic Flywire fabric on the side panels has a smooth gradient between the two.  This is a sharp look we expect to see when the Lakers are on the road and you can cop a limited size run today at Marquee Sole.

Air Jordan Spizike Fresh Since 1985 New Images

If you haven’t picked up a copy yourself, can you guess which Jay was chosen #1 in ESPN’s recently released Michael Jordan Hall of Fame Special Issue? “Do you know, do you know, do yo know?”  It was the Air Jordan III.  Among some of the reasons why, which would have been my number 1 pick, it was chosen is the introduction to Tinker Hatfield’s genius to JB, the use of the classic (and now sadly- overused) elephant print, or even the fact that they’re the sneakers he’s rocking in one of the most famous images in Jordan’s, basketball, or even sports history in general- the free-throw line dunk.  But this is all stuff once said and done.  Back when they first came out- it’s success was highly attributed to an advertising campaign using Spike Lee’s Mars Blackmon character as the pitchman.  Now we all know the Spiz’ike itself is a representation of all the shoes that utlilized this clever marketing strategy, but the III’s were the first ones seen in those comedic black and white commercials featuring His Airness being nagged by Spike Lee’s alter ego.

As a result, these new Spiz’ike feature a combined colorway of three of the most sought after AJ3 colorways- Cement, True Blue, and Fire Red.  Sure, other pairs feature famous colorways too, but the “Fresh Since ’85″ pair adds some more features.  From the exterior, the first noticeable addition is the “Mike” and “Mars” lace locks.  Enter the inside of the shoe and you see some more flavor.  The collar is lined with the famous “Do you know?” lines from the commercials, and printed on the insole the equally famous Mars Blackmon imagery with the shoe’s moniker underneath.  Official release is expected to be sometime in January.  via Kenlu
