Nike Air Penny II Black Metallic Copper @ HOH

Yesterday, images of a new Air Penny II colorway popped up, seemingly out of nowhere. Not much information was known at the time, especially whether or not these were just a sample or would actually be releasing. In what is looking like one of the better kept secrets of late, this incredible Black/Metallic Copper edition of the Air Penny II will not only be hitting retail, but they will be here much sooner than anyone expected. These beauties will be dropping at House of Hoops locations this Saturday, September 26th. As you might figure, they will be flying off the shelves, so consider yourselves properly cautioned and be sure to get there early.  Via FootLockerUnlocked.

Celebrity Feet: Lebron James & Friends More Than A Game Album Release Party

Lebron James along with a number of cast members, producers, and other celebrities attended the More Than A Game album (soundtrack) release party at Marquee in New York City this past Tuesday night. Notable celebrities who attended were Akon, DJ Clue, Wale, Tiana Taylor, DJ Webstar, Cory Gunz, Ester Dean, and more. Amongst all of these celebrities Lebron, Tiana Taylor, and Wale were rocking the best sneakers of the night. King James pulled out a pair of fresh Air Max 97′s while Tiana Taylor was seen wearing the “Hare” Air Jordan I’s, and Wale like the true sneakerhead that he is, supported James by wearing a pair of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI Los Angeles “Tale of Three Cities”.

Air Jordan XII (12) Michael Finley PE Dallas Mavericks Home

Late 2009 is an Air Jordan XII (12) fan’s dream come true.  We’re not seeing anywhere near the crazy spread Jay Jones showed off back in July but there are three AJXII retros on the way very soon.  Even if you get the Rising Sun, Flu Game and/or regular season home joints in white/red, Jay still would have had you beat.  That could change with the above pictured Michael Finley PE.  The white and blue colourway created for Chicago native Finley as a home look at the Dallas Mavericks’ American Airlines Center back in 2003-04 adds ‘FIN’ and ’4′ emrboideries to the left and right outer heel, respectively.  Keep up with the Joneses and cop these today from ISC on eBay.

Air Jordan Hallowed Ground Rip Hamilton PE November 2009

We first got a look at the Jordan Hallowed Ground back in the spring and have since seen a number of upcoming colorways, but now we get a peek at the first PE edition of the shoe. This version of the Hallowed Ground was made for Richard Hamilton and features a White leather upper with large areas of Varsity Blue and a few hits of Varsity Red to complete the Detroit Pistons color scheme. As an added personal touch, the tongue label sports an embroidered “Rip City” shout-out so there can be no mistaking who these kicks were made for. If you’re a fan of Rip or just like the colorway, these are expected to hit House of Hoops at some point in November. Via FootLockerUnlocked.

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium + Blazer High Premium October 2009

By now, you have probably already seen some of Nike SB’s October 2009 goodies like the J-Pack edition of the Dunk Mid and the Midnight Fog colorway of the P-Rod III. Now we bring you a look at two more eye-catching models that are beginning to hit select Nike SB retailers. In time for Halloween, a new Dunk Low Premium has come along with a Green Spark/Hoop Orange color scheme that also sports touches of Black, Purple and Yellow, giving the shoe a look slightly reminiscent of the classic Day of the Dead Dunk. The other new model is a Blazer High Premium that also packs a bold punch, flaunting a suede Aqua Marine upper with a clean White midsole and Electrolime accents. If you’re feeling these new additions to the Nike SB family, you can already find them at select retailers such as Flatspot.

DJ Clark Kent x Nike Hyperdunk Supreme 112 Pack China Quickstrike

DJ Clark Kent has been doing some big things for Nike as of late, providing a few tasty additions to the East vs. West Pack, but before all that good stuff, he helped design last year’s 112 Pack, one of the most memorable Nike collaboration packs of the last few years. Back in June, we gave you a sneak peek of two new members of the 112 Pack, an Air Force 25 Low and a Hyperdunk Supreme. At the time, it was unknown if the two new models were just samples or if they would eventually be hitting retail. Now, we bring some eagerly awaited release info as well as some nice pics of the Hyperdunk Supreme, which gives the shoe perhaps its boldest look yet thanks to the Elephant print, Neon accents and reflective materials. Unfortunately, these are expected to be a Quickstrike released exclusively in China, but lets cross our fingers and hope that someone decides that these need to hit the States. For now, you’ll have to just admire the pics after the jump and we’ll be sure to keep you posted if the release expands. If you don’t want to miss out, they will be available soon through the Kix-Files online store.

Nike Air Force 1 White Quilted Canvas Tennis Pack

For a while, it seemed like every other new Nike shoe that we were previewing featured some Lava or splatter print, prompting many to dub them the “Tennis Pack.” During the summer, we saw an Air Force 1 Low that sported a White upper with sections of canvas Lava print on the heel, and now we get a look at a pair that switches things up, using an all White canvas upper with a quilted pattern appearing on the midpanel. The shoe goes with a White on White look all the way down to the midsole and outsole with just a hint of some Varsity Maize and Turquoise accents to spice things up a bit. These might have been better off dropping in summer, but they’re still a clean model no matter when you get them. You can get yours now at Kix-Files.

Nom De Guerre x adidas Forum Mid

Though collabs may seem to be a big deal, in the bigger picture, shoe brands only rely on them for branding and street cred- not sales.  Nonetheless, adidas has been on a serious prowl working with other brands and such.  Adding to adidas Originals’ ongoing Five Two-3 Project, Nom De Guerre was asked to apply their fashion savvy to these Forum Mids.  Following a military motif found in many of their collections, the design approach matches armed forces’ standards in look and function.  The details are flawless- from the waxed laces and zippered tongue enclosure, the the sole resembling shooting targets and ankle strap saluting the fallen by looking like gauze bandaging.  Though numerous collabs drop every season, few execute to this level.  A limited release, try to cop a pair in your size from Extra Butter.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid Premium White Black Gum

When it comes to Air Forces, it seems that it must be done all-out in order to impress people with a shoe that’s been around and seen everything.  Take Bradley Bowlby’s exuberant AF1, from the Doernbecher Freestyle Project, for example.  You’ll agree this is more of a classic, and simpler, look from Nike.  Black and white can feel so mundane, but this pair seems to fit monochrome look with the smart application of leather and nubuck, and a gum sole to tie it all together.  These are clean.  Simple as that.  Cop a pair now from size?

Nike Dunk High North Black Varsity Maize + Black Volt Blue

Black with primary colors seem to be a la mode for sneakers- just take a look at the J-Pack Dunk Mid SB and the Air Maxim 1 soon to drop.  Well here’s another set of dunks also rocking the same look.  Both sporting varsity colors reminiscent of the BTTYS’, but instead have black as the complimentary rather than white.  Laid upon an entire leather upper with clean white laces to rock, the wing panels have a woven synthetic adding a new look to a classic shoe with classic color schemes.  And last, but not least- North embroidered on the tongue tags.  Cop both the Varsity Maize and the Volt Blue at JD Sports.
