Nike Air Max 97 OG Colorway Metallic Silver Red

This year saw retro releases of the OG colourways of Nike’s Air Max 1, 95 and 97.  The last of that group found a European release in early summer, but many were bummed by the limited availability.  Fret no more, my friends.  The metallic silver Air Max runner that dropped with the series’ longest Air bubbles to date back in July 1997 is back with all of its red, white and black accents in tact.  It’s unclear as of this writing if they’re an Asia-only drop this time, but we do know for sure that you can cop them from Hong Kong’s Kix-Files.

Nike Dunk Low GS R.I.P Halloween Glow in the Dark

We thought Nike was softening the blow for youngsters with their Back to School Pack but it seems like they just want young sneakerheads to use their releases as a calendar.  This time it’s Halloween and another Nike Dunk in GS sizes.  Where the hightop pair went with a black/orange design, this low is a bit more sinister in black, greys and red.  The shoe also has some glow in the dark features and those always go over well with the youngsters.  Cop em for your special little people from 95soleman on eBay.

Nike Air Max Tailwind 92 White Scuba Sample

A bunch of new Nike Air Max Tailwind 92s popped up on retail shelves early in 2009.  We expected a large year for this retro runner but haven’t seen much of it past the early spring.  A new colourway pictured above is a sample whose colour name is a perfect description of the look of the shoe.  A ‘Scuba’ shade of blue is joined by a brighter blue on the toe plus a variety of white fabrics for a light and springy look.  These will release in the not too distant future but you can already cop US mens size 9.  Grab this hot sample from verbdws on eBay.

Nike Blazer High White Red Tattoo

With tattoos becoming more and more prevalent in our culture and a wider variety of sneakers available than ever before, it makes sense for them to cross paths.  The latest tatted down kicks are this pair of Nike Blazer Highs.  If you start at the outer toe and work your way around, these appear to be a calm mix of white and red leathers but once the Swoosh breaks, in comes in a symphony of black and grey sketches.  The insides are covered like LeBron and feature different graphics on each shoe.  Cop em from 95soleman on eBay.

LIVESTRONG x Nike LS Lunar Glide + LS Lunar Fly

It’s been a huge year for Nike collabs with LIVESTRONG.  Major releases of remakes of past successful collabs, new Nike styles, installations, and even an art exhibition.  You name it, the two powerhouses have done it.  Reluctant to use the brakes and slow the pace, Lance reveals their continuing partnership by giving a sneak peek on his Twitter at the LS Lunar Glide and the LS Lunar Fly.

Having already seen the Lunar Glide, the LS version sport the typical LIVESTRONG colorway- making black and yellow even more popular to rock.  The LS Lunar Fly, anticipated to be part of the Summer 2010 season, is new to the Lunar series.  Having quite a minimal upper, the new breed supports the Dynamic Support System and Flywire technology, following suit to the rest of the Lunar series.  Expect the LS Lunar Glide to drop this holiday season, and a long wait the LS Lunar Fly for next summer.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Black White

Another simple, but crisp and certainly rockable, pair coming from Nike.  As said before countless of times, the most simple and overly done colorway can be jazzed up with the right use of materials.  Leather with alternating accents of nubuck, you can’t go wrong.  Not to mention suede on the toebox always helps for minimal creasing.  Now available at size?, grab a pair of these AF1′s to hit the scene for the fall season.

Nike RT1 High Mahogany Gum

The Nike RT1 has become a mainstay in the Swoosh catalog after playing a game of role reversal with Kanye West and his ‘big brother’, Jay-Z.  Many saw the RT1 as a way to get the Air Yeezy hightop flavor to the masses but it’s certainly stepping out of the Yeezy’s shadow with a range of dope new colourways on deck.  This one goes with a deep mahogany full grain leather, a hue that looks almost plum in some lighting thanks to the violet laces encouraging ones eyes to pick up the red.  And it’s a fair trade too, cos your eyes will be encouraging you to cop these when you peep how well a gum rubber midsole ties the whole thing together.  Cop em today from 95soleman on eBay.

Nike Dunk High AC TZ Canvas Grey + Black

Whether it was first welcomed or not by the general sneaker community, hybrids or new takes on original models has become commonplace for Nike.  Having a huge following in more recent years, the Dunk has a new face.  The “Autoclave Tier Zero” versions now have a vulcanized sole, which might be seen on plenty of other (skate) brands, only existed for Nike in the form of the Blazer.  It can be assumed, though, that the higher names decided to follow suit with the recent burst of demand for the Blazer.  Nonetheless, the vulcanized Dunk is here and can be copped in black or grey canvas today at 21 Mercer.
