The Nike Air Max Rise, looking like it’s part of the same family tree as the Hyperize or maybe some distant younger cousin of the 2K4 Huarache, has been going under the radar within the hype of sneaker culture. But let it be known, this is quickly becoming a hit with an appreciation for basketball footwear. A number of athletes have been seen sporting these on NBA courts, like OJ Mayo and Brandon Roy. Don’t be surprised if you start seeing some other ballers with their own PE colorways. Or if you just like to go simple but aggresive, hit up id4shoes on eBay for the Air Max Rise in black/dark grey colorway with synthetic and patent leather.

I could do without the patent but these are nice… real nice! A LOT of Air Max Lebron VII hints to them! I’m not sure if that annoys me yet or not? I was looking through an Eastbay and saw the Nike Spot Up… reminded me of the black/red CW Lebron VII that’s about to release. It’s as if Nike is no longer reserving certain design cues, tech and material for sig releases but allowing them to carry throughout their lines.
