Successful persuasion often sandwiches a critique between two compliments. First off, Solebox is clearly the winner in 2009’s collaboration count. The problem is, their releases are often ridiculously limited (as this pair is at a scant 31 pairs). It’s a problem made even worse because Hikmet’s design work is so excellent. In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Reebok’s Pump, Berlin’s best known sneaker boutique put a premium touch on the classic basketball shoe. Bungee cord laces, supple black leather, glow in the dark eyelets and memory foam on the tongue are all nice, but the light-up Pump takes this pair to a whole ‘nother level.
