Nike is by far the largest footwear and athletic company in the world, but they still realize the value of their local distributor. Their skateboarding division has opened a new microsite titled ‘Nike SB: Support Your Local’ that currently showcases Enfield, CT’s Skate Lair alongside Chicago’s Uprise. Both have extensive photo capsules from Todd Jordan, who seeks to show “some of the faces that have been there . . . back when it was still considered derelict.” Check out more photos after the jump, including plenty from the Nike SB Fall/Holiday ’09 apparel collection.

I support my local shps in the D but when i am in chicago uprise is always one of my first stops. All of those cats are cool and down to earth. Props over there!

tekganr in Austin, Tx is the shop! hands down…. too bad Nike is a B-tch and doesn’t show them any love like w/ the new Brainwrecks…Practice what you preach, Support your local shop nike. If you dont how the hell is Joe Schmo suppoesed too..lil b-tches!
