Nike Air Maxim 1 Torch Black Varsity Maize Anthracite

Nike will be launching a new version of the Nike Air Maxim 1 in Spring 2010 as a part of their Nike Sportswear Spring 2010 Collection. The new Air Maxim 1 Torch combines some of Nike’s newest and best technologies into the shoe including Nike Flywire and a new material called Torch, which makes the shoe lighter and more breathable. The Torch materials seen on this Air Maxim 1 is the Black web like material on the toebox and collar of the shoe. This Black and Varsity Maize colorway of the shoe might lead many into believing that it’s actually a LIVESTRONG shoe, when in fact it isn’t. Look for these to hit retailers in Spring 2010. via Freshness

Air Jordan Sixty Plus Boston Celtics

With all these Sixty Plus Points releases, let’s not forget about the shoe that started this idea.  The Air Jordan Sixty Plus combines features of Air Jordans II (2), III (3), V (5) and VII (7) into one of the smoothest hybrids we’ve seen.  It probably helps that this ‘era’ of Jays draws on some common aesthetic principles, and we’re certainly not complaining about this latest colourway.  It’s heavy on white and black, whith just a little green to remind us of that legendary 69 point playoff game.  These will drop stateside shortly, so for now, cop yours from Dunk.com.cn

Nike SB Dunk Photography Showcase

When it comes to sneaker culture, there isn’t much else out there that captures the same level of rabid love and devotion shown to the Air Jordan line, but in recent years, the Nike SB Dunk movement has definitely given JB a run for its money. Last night, we showed you some stunning photo tributes to the Air Jordan, and now we turn our attention to some Nike SB love. While the Air Jordan series embodies the very best in sneaker style, class and innovation, the SB Dunk arsenal relies more on personality and creativity, with an overall fun vibe that both skaters and sneaker collectors have obviously found very intoxicating.

With all the wild colorways, materials and concepts that have been explored over the years, this Nike SB Dunk showcase gives a look at some of the freshest, rarest and most beloved versions of the SB Dunk in some styles that go well beyond the stale product shots that we’re used to seeing. Keep reading for multiple pages of Dunk SB photography showing off some of your favorites in more artistic fashion than usual, and once again, thanks to all the individual photographers for spreading their love of Dunk SB’s with the rest of us. Nike Blazer Mid Carbon Fiber Sample

It seems like Nike has released more sneakers that look like carbon fiber than ones that actually include the lightweight ‘fabric’.  With the Nike Blazer High taking on the pearlescent Posite look, it was ready for the space aged update that is this pair.  On paper, they can be as simple as black, white and a few shades of grey, or as complex as the translucent side panels that cover the carbon fiber upper.  Scored foam on the sockliner gives these a nice look into the future of quilting.   Take a look at photos of this upcoming release after the jump and act fast if you wanna cop a sample in US mens size 9 from JasonWhite9 on eBay.

Sneakerness Vienna Recap

Sneakerness took over Zurich for its May 2009 show, thrust into the spotlight by two dope Nike Air Force 1s.  One was a custom, the other Bespoke, but neither style paved the way for this month’s meetup in Vienna.  The usual swapmeet stuff dominated the proceedings, but an appearance from Bobbito Garcia and a Nike iD installation added a little something extra.  Speaking of something extra, what the Vienna show lacked in AF1s it made up with a Sneakerness x KangaROOS collaboration.  Check out a ton of photos of the event after the jump.  via SF

Nike Air Bakin Retro Metallic Silver Black Purple

Maybe the secret to Tim Hardaway’s NBA success was wacky footwear.  Fans might look back to his ‘UTEP Two-Step’ crossover as one of the sickest in the game, but we noticed a definite carryover between Timmy’s kicks and his on-court performance.  A standout early in his career with the Golden State Warriors, Hardaway endured a few lackluster seasons in the mid-90s.  Was it Air Raid withdrawal?  T-Bug revived his career a few years later in Miami wearing the Nike Air Bakin’, which remains one of the craziest performance sneakers we’ve seen.  This pair takes it a step further, going with a never before seen mix of metallic silver, black and purple.  We’ll be sure to keep you updated on their release.  via FC.T

adidas Stan Smith 2 Mammoth Pack

The adidas Stan Smith 2 is a classic, but ancient?  The Mammoth Pack of Smiths doesn’t have tusks, but they have been dug up, covered in a fuzzy textile upper.  There are three pairs here: black with yellow and white accents, red with black and white and blue with white and red.  It’s can’t-miss colourways like these that keep shoes like the Stan Smith 2 around for decades and updates like their warm-looking uppers that make them relevant today.  Yours are waiting at Flauge.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski Sample Colorways

Over the last week, we have seen numerous new Nike SB Stefan Janoski colorways pop up, and now we get a sneak peek at three more samples. We’ve already seen alligator skin, White perf and “Tiffany” editions, but the Janoski fun hardly stops there. Recently, images emerged of some pretty interesting new looks for Stefan’s pro model. There is a Black on Black version that appears to sport a wool upper and another Black version, this time with a corduroy upper and White midsole. Last but not least is easily the boldest Nike Stefan Janoski colorway concept yet, a full peacock feather pattern that gives the normally conservative and sophisticated style a daringly bold new look. There is no word on whether or not the “peacocks” will make it past the sample stage, but it is likely that the other two will be hittinfg retailers in 2010.  Keep reading afte rthe jump for a better look at all three, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any developments.
