Typically, shiny shoes can be eye-catching, but apparently these can cause synesthesia. The Nike WMNS Dunk High pictured above was dubbed ‘The Dazzler’ by internets (sic) celebrity Dallas Penn. Their metallic silver construction reminds hardcore Marvel Universe fans of an X-Men character by the same name from the late ’70s who could transform soundwaves into light and energy beams. The shoe might not do all of that, but it looks dope and is available now at Premium Laces.

25 years is an awefully long time for anything to stay fresh. A good chunk of the foundational years critical to the overall success of the series can be found mashed up in the Air Jordan Spiz’ike. This latest model features primary colours on a base of black, white and grey along with a ‘Do You Know?’ printed lining that evokes a classic Mars Blackmon commercial starring the then-up-and-coming auteur Spike Lee. Check out these detailed images, notice how the tumbled white leather ties together various aspects of the design and cop a pair early from Kinstor.

With a new NBA season just around the corner, 2Ksports has delivered a new and improved edition of their yearly NBA 2K video game series. As you might expect, in addition to better game play and some new touches, the graphics on NBA 2K10 are looking crisper than ever, and to us that means only one thing… a look at digital versions of each player’s official kicks. For those of us who’ve been around long enough to remember what the graphics looked like when we used to play Double Dribble on Nintendo or Lakers vs. Celtics on Sega Genesis, we could have never imagined that one day we would be playing such a lifelike version of a basketball game.
Now that technology has come such a long way, we are at the point where everything is so precise and official that even the sneakers are true to life. For the most part, each NBA player has a facsimile of their real-life on-court sneaker in the game. The NBA 2K10 cover is graced by Kobe Bryant who’s Zoom Kobe IV’s are nicely on display, as well as some other notable kicks like the Nike Hyperize, Carmelo Anthony’s Jordan Melo M6 and some adidas models like the TS Cut Creator. Take a look at some more screen shots after the jump and see what other kicks you can pick out.

Nike Sportswear is rolling into the next decade with a big collection of clean colourways. We don’t see more than four colours on any one of this dozen, and every pair that goes with four uses the black/white combination. In short, these are simple colour schemes that while bright, take a step back from some of the busier releases we saw this year. Take a look at Dynasty Highs, Footscapes, Blazers in High/Mid and Lows, Air Force 1s and plenty more after the jump. via Kenlu

Nike Sportswear seems to be going with alot of two and three colour palettes for their spring ten collection. Pictured above we see two models that have the same spirit. On the left is the Nike Air 180 with white mesh and leather accented by black and an interesting shade of yellow/green. To the right, a Nike Air Max ST that might have been designed by Parisian boutique Oqium. Whomever is responsible did a good job on these, realizing that healthy doses of the neutral white/grey/black trio would de-Tiger their purple and orange splashes. Stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all upcoming Nike Sportswear releases.

In baseball, your ace is your number one pitcher, the go-to guy. Apparently for basketball, your ace is something to just bury for about a quarter-century and then revive with a bunch of its peers. A bit of a stretch, maybe, but Nike probably had to reach pretty far back into their Beaverton, OR vaults to find the Ace ’83 Autoclave. It seems like a perfect fit with other classic basketball retros and others being updated with autoclaved soles. This particular pair boes with tonal browns that carry over perfectly to the houndstooth lining. Retailing for a totally reasonable $59 USD, these are available now at select Nike retailers. via HB
