Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom and a number of a-listers were on hand for the opening of Philippe Chow’s fifth namesake restaurant, this time in Los Angeles. Kobe rocked the black and pink Nike Air Yeezy while Lamar Odom surprisingly had on a pair of navy blue Supra TK Society. Pau Gasol showed up in black shoes, Serena Williams was in heels, Sofia Vergara also in heels, Khloe Kardashian apparently now Ms Odom in heels and finally Sasha Vujacic and Tyrese Gibson were also spotted but we didn’t make out their shoes.

Air Jordan Force Fusions have been the most controversial topic amongst sneakerheads over the past two years, hands down. Purists point out that most of the silhouettes have to be radically altered to match the Air Force 1 sole and classics should be left alone, while others simply like the way they look and that they’re obtainable. We expect further fractionation of the community on this one, a sneaker that for now we’ll refer to as Nike Air Jordan 1/XX3 (23) Fusion, for obvious reasons. They add the AJXX3‘s net embroidery to the AJ1‘s side panels and throw a translucent Swoosh on top for good measure. Expected next year, you can already pre-order these from Osneaker.

This latest Nike Dunk High had us wondering if we had slept on their release. There was another pair earlier this year in white and yellow that shared this new release’s motion card-textured side panels. Beaverton likes to drop stuff like this in packs, but instead it looks like they just realized how cool that stuff looks. You can’t go wrong matching it with hyper blue, though that shade is downright otherworldly, completely engulfing this pair. A touch of white on the tongue reminds you who made these, and don’t forget to cop them today from Essense.

Never before has a love of canvas been so serious. You might ask why we’re interpreting this so literally, especially when a pair of the new Addict Series of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Highs looks quite a bit like Batman’s Joker costume. It’s because these are easily the finest Chucks ever produced: premium materials, interesting colourways, reinforced stitching on the forefoot, and Vibram outsoles make these quite a catch. Consider the joke on you if you miss copping these from R’izm. via HS

DJ Clark Kent is well-known for his sneaker collaborations with Nike and has helped break a lot of necks with some super-fresh styles like the 112 Pack, Black Friday Air Force 1 and most recently his contributions to Nike’s East vs West Rivals Pack. Now Clark shows off his latest masterpiece, a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan Spiz’ike. This version of the Spiz’ike sports a very different look than most previous colorways thanks to a creative approach to the color blocking. The upper is pretty much split down the middle horizontally, with the bottom half in tonal White and the top half in solid Black. Additional accents are supplied by a shiny Red midsole and lace locks, as well as a Royal Blue Jumpman logo and heel tab. These are expected to drop some time in 2010, but you can already pre-order yours from Osneaker.

We’ve seen plenty of Nike hybrids this year and though this is one of the last ones most purists would have asked for, we get a new perspective on how similar the original designs actually were. Through the lens of the new Nike Air Max 24/7, it’s easy to see how the OG Air Max 95′s tiered tonal greys gave way to the sweeping reflective lines that encircled its successor, the Air Max 97.
Their offspring uses a 95 silhouette that modifies the upper’s tiering by making it smoother/flowier. About halfway down, the AM97 mudguard kicks in, separated from the rest by a familar reflective 3M piping. If we go a bit further, it seems that another Air Max runner has been incorporated, and this time it’s the Air Max+ 2009′s 360 degree Air cushion. It’s a pretty crazy look that ties in the last decade and a half of Nike running and you can count on Sneaker News for all your Air Max 24/7 updates. via NT

It’s not super common to see Nike SB backpack releases to match their kicks, but with the whimsical Mr. PacMan collection earlier this summer, we needed something darker come Halloween time. Enter the Nike SB Blazer Quickstrike in a spooky Blood Splatter design. As you’d expect from the name (or having seen either the kicks and/or the backpack), these add a big red splat to the side panels in a way that reminds us of our favourite slasher films. You needn’t be scared, though. These are available now at top of the line Nike Skateboarding retailers like Premier.

Steve Nash’s latest Nike shoe, the Cradle Rock Low might be built for the court, but it also has the look to make a great street shoe. The design of the shoe takes a much more traditional approach than some of the more high-tech, futuristic models that we usually see from the Nike Basketball line. Although the Cradle Rock Low is built for the demands of the court, it definitely sports a look reminiscent of the Dunk Low, making it just as fitting for everyday wear. You have already seen the Asia pack and the Black away Phoenix Suns edition, and now we bring you a preview of seven other colorways that will be available. The standouts of the bunch have to be the White home Suns color scheme, the obviously Jordan-inspired version with the Elephant-like print and the pair that sports the OG Flight Huarache palette that was recently seen on the Hyperize and Sharkalaid. Keep reading after the jump for a look at all eight upcoming colorways. Via Kenlu.

Late last month, we brought you a peek at two new Air Footscape colorways set to drop this November, and now we get a better look at those, plus a third colorway that will be joining the group. As we’ve already shown you, there will be a Black Suede pair with touches of Light Grey and Yellow, as well as a Royal Blue mesh edition with Black accents and a White midsole. The third new Air Footscape has a bit of a “Pigeon” look to it, sporting a Light Grey mesh upper with sections of Dark Grey and Hot Red piping around the top of the sock liner. If you’re a fan of the Footscape, be on the lookout for all three to begin hitting select Nike retailers next month. Via SnkrFrkr.

Back in June we gave you a first look at one of the fresher upcoming releases from Nike’s East vs West pack, this Urban Haze edition of the Dunk High. The Shoe sports a combination of leathers on the upper, both using earthy shades of Green with Brown contrast stitching. Accents come courtesy of a speckled Baroque Brown midsole with additional touches of Brown appearing on the tongue and lining. A suede Beige Swoosh and White Nike East tongue label provide the finishing touches to one of the better Dunk High colorways seen in a while. Look for these to hit select retailers some time this December, and for now, you can check out some more pics after the jump. Via SnkrFrkr.

Over the weekend, Nike SB blessed Berlin sneakerheads/skaters to a very cool event, the opening of the Alive With Pleasure exhibit and a corresponding Nike SB pop-up store. On display were Alex Flach’s photos of the German SB team’s recent tour of Dubai and some other global skate spots. In addition to the photo exhibit, visitors were also treated to a Nike SB store that displayed both new and classic SB styles and was complete with a legit indoor mini-ramp. The store opens to the public today, so if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by to check out the display, as well as a special Nike SB t-shirt, poster and book to commemorate the exhibition. Keep reading after the jump for a look at the ins and outs of the Alive With Pleasure event and Nike SB pop-up shop. Via Dunkbar.
