Was it really scandalous for Nike to remove the strap from its Vandal hightop? This pair of Nike Trainer 1s is so authentic, they even have the same goofy letter spacing that plagues alot of MLB uniforms to this day. The kearning of button up jerseys has always suffered in the overlap, so this pair that features ‘NEW’ ‘YORK’ on the right and left tongues, respectively, looks just right in its off balance orientation. The rest of this Yankees-inspired design is spot on as well, from the perfect mix of navy, white and reflective metallic silver hits to the contrast stitching and Flywire that both insinuate pinstripes. We know Yankees fans are a passionate bunch so we’ll keep you posted on their release.

Nike is by far the largest footwear and athletic company in the world, but they still realize the value of their local distributor. Their skateboarding division has opened a new microsite titled ‘Nike SB: Support Your Local’ that currently showcases Enfield, CT’s Skate Lair alongside Chicago’s Uprise. Eddie Cruz’ Lakers-inspired snakeskin Nike Air Force 1 Low showed up first, but it’s his Chicago-style hightop that made it to retailers first. Taking a colourway famous from the midwest and transplanting it for another entry in the East vs. West Rivals Pack, this Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme. The only things not covered in black snakeskin here are the patent leather strap and Swooshes plus a suede section on both side panels. “Red on black, venom lack,” so it goes with milk snakes, but these should be poison to all your haters and are available today from RMK on eBay.

When a sample was placed beside the Nike Air Max 95 in mint, this latest Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid seemed to share that accent shade. A couple of months later, one pair has hit the ‘bay and the photos (and box color code) let us know the intention was turquoise. Rocking the same shade of Azure blue that shined brightly this summer on a prominent RT1, these have a blacked-out Tiffany look. It’s something we’ve never seen on an ATC but it looks dope, so cop yours from verbdws on eBay.

We’ve recently seen the very recognizable Air Foamposite look make its way onto some totally unrelated models like the Blazer High and the Big Nike High. The Foamposite-inspired Blazer High sported the classic Royal Blue foam upper and the Big Nike went with the beloved Eggplant color scheme. Now we see another Blazer model that combines the best of both worlds. This version sports an Eggplant foam upper with Black accents including a shiny patent Swoosh. There is no word yet on when and where these will be dropping, but they are expected to be limited in quantity. Though they do seem to be buddies with Japan’s atmos and mita sneakers, Reebok doesn’t exactly have an answer for the Nike Tier Zero. That will change at least temporarily as twenty of the worlds hottest boutiques lend their hand to designing a 20th Anniversary Pump.
