Without a retail release of this year’s Yankees-inspired LeBron James shoe, we’re left to look back at an alternate from last year. The Nike Zoom LeBron VI (6) released in Yankees and Big Apple flavoured colourways, and it looks like the ‘Kenzo’ Zoom LeBron Power VI was set to do the same before it was pulled in favour of ‘The Six’. If you’ve seen the Kenzos, you know what to expect: navy blue and white with pinstripe accents applied to a sleek design that’s highlighted by the swooping carbon fibre heel support.
With a closer look at the sole below that signature element, the rear notch looks alot like the ZL6 and shows how this shoe influenced the final design. Definitely the most ironic, if not most interesting feature of these is the tongue patch that reads ‘UNSTOPPABLE’, which is pretty much the antithesis of a sneaker that was, in fact, stopped before it reached retail. All joking aside, these are well designed, extremely rare, and available from abtmchan on eBay.

These had mad potential. Its a shame they got dropped. Hopefully something will be done with this dope design
