Reebok Pump20 Anniversary Collection – Asia

If you follow Sneaker News regularly, you might have noticed that Korean retailer Kasina popped up in the sneakerhead scene by offering early releases of some eagerly-anticipated heat earlier this year.  Then again, if you happen to be from Korea, you know that they’ve been running the premium kicks game over there for ages.  Their cherry red mix of patent leather and nylon looks pretty dope with a Tiffany range of accents.  This eleventh hour debut puts them in good company, as long-time Reebok collaborator atmos revealed their nightmarish speckled design.  Enjoy shots of those two, plus submissions from Espionage and Juice after the jump.  via SF

Reebok Pump20 Anniversary Collection North America

When Reebok and their collaborators started to reveal the 20th Anniversary Pump collection, the first few were all European boutiques.  The Asian representatives have been somewhat scattered in their timing, and over the past couple of days, these North American shops have unleashed a torrent of Pump20 designs.

DMV’s Commonwealth is pictured above not just because they rep my home state, but because they’re the newest to be unveiled, after ARC slipped theirs in late last night.  We’ve given you multiple exclusive looks at the Packer Shoes Dominique Wilkins-inspired model and you can see more of those plus the Pumps from Bodega, Kicks/HI, St. Alfred, Stolen Riches and UNDFTD.  via SF

A.R.C. x Reebok Pump 20th Anniversary CollectionIt’s safe to say we’ve seen our fair share of previews- some just a sneak peak to have the suspense kill you, while others have given us the opportunity for a thorough examination.  With many of the shops hosting launch parties tomorrow night for the officially release at midnight (on the 20th, you should have guessed that), whatever shops with intent to promote have pretty much done so already.

But when you’re OG like Alife Rivington Club, one of the most established names when it comes street boutiques, there isn’t much need to promote- simply the confidence that loyal supporters will love them and cop.  And rightfully so with the sight of these.  On the lighter side of the Pump20 color schemes, A.R.C.’s Pump opt for a very simple and clean aesthetic, rocking a ivory colored micro-suede upper with stark white accents.  Top it with gum accents on the sole and hangtag, and this is ‘Crispy as Fuck.’  As with all the Pump20, A.R.C. will be limited to 31 pairs.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium Brain Wreck Variant Samples

Todd Bratrud’s insane ‘Brain Wreck’ Nike SB Dunk High Premium was one of the most creative collaborative visions that made its way to retail this year.  When we first peeped a sample during a June Nike SB showcase, we expected the heels to have their designer’s name, but he flipped the script to reveal a cohesive theme on behalf of Skate Mental.  As for SM, they were to be incorporated in the special ‘NIKE SM’ tag on this variant sample’s tongue, but that was nixed in favour of one with blue accents.

With this in mind, you can start Waldo-ing all the differences: the sample outsole was pink instead of black, sample toe is light grey instead of pink.  Probably the two most significant changes were stitching: the sample only had an outline of the amazingly-detailed quilting found on the released edition, plus its heel is screened on instead of embroidered.  This is the kind of ridiculously rare stuff that truly great collections are made of, and one size 9 pair is available at MentalKicks.

Packer Shoes x Reebok Pump 20th Anniversary Detailed Images

The Packer Shoes x Reebok Pump20 collaboration teasers have gotten a lot of sneakerheads excited for this particular installment of the Pump 20th anniversary collection. Aside from just creating a fresh new look for the Pump, the inspiration behind the design has a lot of sneaker collectors buzzing about the fact that NBA legend Dominique Wilkins will finally be getting his own shoe. Back in ’89, Nique was crushing the competition in his OG Pumps, but somehow never had his own signature pair like many of his NBA All-Star peers of the time. Proving that it’s never too late to make things right, Packer will be honoring the Human Highlight Film with their offering to the Pump20 collab collection.

In addition to the Atlanta Hawks color combo, the kicks feature several thoughtful touches paying tribute to the man who brought us so many thrilling moments during his days on the court. The rich white leather upper is accented by several gold embroidered nods to Nique like his number 21, the star and the years of his two Slam Dunk Champion titles on the heels, as well as a “Human Highlight Film” label inside the tongue of the left shoe and a silhouette of Dominique in mid-dunk on the insole. As if that wasn’t enough, the shoe will come with 5 pairs of matching laces to ensure that each lucky consumer will be able to rock the kicks tailored to their own color-scheme preferences. Along with the 31 pairs of Nique Pumps, Packer will also be presenting a matching t-shirt that sports some nice details like replicas of the tongue label tags, Slam Dunk title shout-outs and even a “release valve” on the back.

As previously mentioned, Packer Shoes will be holding a special release event at the store tomorrow night at 10pm, featuring an appearance by Dominique himself. The limited run of 31 Packer Pumps will be available, with 29 pairs of each OG Pump colorway in stock for those who miss out on the Niques. There will also be t-shirts, stickers, posters and the DJ VinRoc mixtape circulating, so anyone coming out will probably not leave empty-handed. Sale of the collaboration Pumps will be first come first serve, so if you are one of the many who are considering these a must-have, you might want to get there early before the “Nique’s” are sold out once and for all. If you’re not in the area, at least you can check out a bunch of detailed images of the shoes after the jump.

Air Jordan XIX (19) Look See Sample

Released the year after MJ’s third and final retirement, the Air Jordan XIX is probably best remembered at this point as being paired with the bred AJIVs in 2008′s 4/19 Countdown Pack.  This sample gives us a glimpse into what could have been a well-received release, had Michael and the Wizards succeeded in their last-ditch push toward the 2003 NBA Playoffs.

These would have been perfect for home games at the MCI Center, but instead, Mike called it quits, met a beautiful Cuban girl and got inducted into the Hall of Fame.  The Association goes on without him, but we suspect LeBron is changing his number for the same reasons you’ll check out more photos after the jump.  via Kenlu

Nike Zoom Kobe IV POP SE Playoff Pack Only 8 Pairs Made

Not only has the new Kobe V been in production, but we’ve already seen some previews of some up and coming stuff.  And yet, Nike just can’t let go of making some dope pairs of ZK4′s until the very point of no return for the arrival of the new signature shoe.  C’mon… it’s a new season already, let’s move on.  But we can’t forget about the Lakers’ performance last season, especially your boy KB’s 61-point performance.  Similar to the special edition made for that momentous feat, these pop up with even more appeal.  Not only does the black mamba pair also rock the Stephen Sprouse type graphics on the toebox and ankle, but also come fitted with custom wooden shoe trees.  Such a shoe can’t just be shoved into a typical box.  These come in a bad-ass metal MVP case, branded by some big names in basketball.  Inside, a plaque commemorating Kobe’s athleticism in that unforgettable game.  This won’t be like the Jordan 17′s where you contemplate to yourself, ‘is it really that worth it?” because only 8 pairs of these were made.  So don’t even bother daydreaming about having these.  via Kenlu

Air Jordan Spizike Black Cement Grey Detailed Images

The Air Jordan Spiz’ike will make it’s return to retail shelves next year and one of the most talked about colorways is this Black and Cement Grey colorway. We’ve shown you various images of this colorway of the Spiz’ike but none as detailed as the ones we have now. While the shoes boast one of the best colorways yet of the Air Jordan Spiz’ike the lining of the shoe should not go untoiced as it features various Air Jordan inspired graphics and wording. Look for these to be available in the upcoming months of the Spring 2010 season. The are however available now in select sizes at MarqueeSole.

New Balance x Overkill Berlin Wall Pack Preview

We have already seen previews of the Berlin Wall edition of the Air Pegasus 89, but it appears that Nike won’t be the only brand celebrating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. New Balance and Overkill will be teaming up to create three different versions of the New Balance 577, each with its own significance to the historic event. There will be a red pair to symbolize the SBZ Soviet occupied zone, as well as a blue pair for the Western Allies and a black version to represent the Iron Curtain. Each shoe will feature Berlin Wall graphics on the insoles as seen in these pics, and each box will contain some additional “surprise treats.” Stay tuned for more pics of the kicks before their December 5th release at select retailers such as Gothenburg’s Shelta.

St. Alfred x Reebok Pump 20th Anniversary Collection

We have seen plenty of collabos with boutiques from around the globe for Reebok Pump’s 20th anniversary. Here’s a look at the most recent collaboration with Saint Alfred straight out of Chicago. The concept behind the Saint Alfred Reebok Pump is based on the blue-collar working class prevalent in the city of Chi, and boast materials found in common work wear. The upper is constructed out of a Carhartt-like canvas and wheat colored suede similar to the suede used on construction timbs.  If you like these it might be a bit tricky getting your hands on a pair because only 31 pairs will be produced.
