Penny Hardaway won a gold medal at Atlanta’s 1996 Summer Olympic Games, but the Nike Foamposite One in Anfernee’s namesake copper is perhaps the all-time best. This shiny metallic edition of the Foamposite One has been seen a couple times on rapper Wale’s feet, and should be an immediate sell out, no matter how many end up hitting retailers. Here’s yet another case of ‘perfect’ feet getting all the luck: there’s a single pair available in US mens size 8.5 at Marquee Sole.

It’s been a slow (re-)start for the Nike Air Max ST. Originally unveiled as a US retro (it never went away in Europe) back with a fall release, there have been just a handful of colourways. This should open up a bit starting next spring, and the above pictured colourway is a good example of what to expect. The bright accent colours remind us of the golden era of Nike running, but the careful use of white, greys and black shows how well Nike has balanced their kicks of late. These might be a collaboration with Oqium, so stick with Sneaker News for updates. via HB

Need more proof that 2010 will be a huge year for Air Jordan VI (6) Retros? Here are two huge reasons why the streets are going to have a true vintage look next year (November 2010 marks the AJ6′s 20th anniversary). First off is the ‘bred’ pair that swapped the OG’s infrared for a darker varsity red shade. Those stay pretty close to the shoes MJ wore while winning his first NBA title, while the white and black speckled pair are sure to be a modern classic. It’s interesting how 20 years of Air Jordans later, the translucent outsole is still among the hottest features a shoe can have. Have a look at both takes on this iconic design after the jump, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for Air Jordan VI Retro release dates. via FC.T//Nikemania

We’ve seen how Vans loves to pay homage to artists who have paid their dues. Vans has already established a collection for comic book pioneer, R. Crumb, and now Vans adds another installment to the collection. This time designed around a Chukka, the crisp white upper (supposedly nubuck) is garnished with black stitching and stripe on the foxing. With graphics solely found on the back of the heel, the choice of illustration best depicts R. Crumb’s history of social satire and scrutiny of American life. Lavished with a cream-colored lining just waiting to be broken in, along with a choice of black or white laces. Definitely a clean design. via SoleRedemption.

With over 10 years of shredding, features in video games, and hustling to make a name for himself, it’s no wonder that Chad Muska’s signature Skytop shoe became such a success even in mainstream fashion. Here we have the first street sighting of the new Skytop II, being worn by the man himself. Known as the “Gradient” colorway, these will be a very limited release as part of the Supra World Tour. Only 36 pairs were produced and only ten spots will be selling them, one of which will be Cali’s Factory413

The Nike SFB (Special Forces Boot) was created to be pretty much indestructable, so it’s only natural to see it manifesting in a bunch of new colourways. Hiroshi Fujiwara proved how dope it can look in all black, but instead of his midtop ‘chukka’, this pair takes colourless nylon and shiny leather halfway up your shin. Couple that kind of extra support with an articulate Free sole and these might be the perfect warm-weather answer to some of the chunkier winterized joints. No matter your location, you can cop these from NikeStore.

With whole buzz about Reebok’s Pump20 project, we tend to forget that there are numerous more pump models from the brand. BEAMS is yet another collab this season for Reebok, this particular partnership for a set of Pump Fury’s. A monochromatic choice of orange or green, these Fury’s come in what seems to be nubuck and micro-mesh. The only accented color is found on the actual Pump feature, as if to give more recognition of its 20th anniversary of the pioneering technology. Available at at the BEAMS shop, these are expected to be available in a few weeks.

Yesterday we gave you a look at half of the Nike Valentines Day Pack. Here Is the other half, a pair of women’s Nike Vandals that get the same treatment as the Court Forces. The upper consists of white leather with a plaid toe box and side panels with a purple and red strap. There is also a strip of back patent leather that follows the stitching all over the shoe from the toe to the lace holes. Again the design elements that make up these Vandals is a more minimal approach to the Valentines Day theme and is executed nicely. Look for these to hit stores in time for February 14th festivities. When a shoe you’re looking forward to doesn’t make it to retail for some reason, it can be among the worst feelings a sneakerhead can ever feel. Then again, there is an undeniable silver lining, especially for those with size 9 feet: samples are, by definition, rare, and let you expand your collection and/or rock some unattainable heat to make your entire social graph jealous. Enter the Nike Air Trainer 1, pictured above in a white and Carolina blue colourup we expected to see in stores a couple months back. The general public’s loss will be a lucky someone’s gain, as these joints just popped up available from verbdws on eBay.

The latest Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke is so shiny and slick looking, people will either think they’re wet or covered in lacquer. Designed by Montonari Mikiya, these Bespokes use a black mix of shiny croc leather, patent leather, plus nubuck on the tongue and a Loopwheeler fleece lining. The rear croc sections make for a sort of friendly fight with the clashing cuts through cement grey elephant print Swooshes. Add a bright yellow MX sole and matching laces and these cannot be ignored. Make your own statement with an appointment at 21 Mercer Street’s Bespoke lab.
