Supra X Armored Limited Edition Supra Vaider

Here is a look at a limited edition Supra Vaider in collaboration with the upcoming movie Armored, staring Laurence Fishburne and Matt Dillon. These movie-inspired sneakers use colors from the movie and use some interesting materials as well. The upper is made of a carbon fiber material that contrasts off a rich red lather heel panel, and what appears to be 3M reflective side panels. If these Vaiders catch your eye it will be a bit tricky to obtain a pair, due to the fact there are only 30 pairs being produced for the cast and crew of the film. via Freshness

JUICE x Reebok Pump 20th Anniversary Collection

We’ve seen quite a few of the 20th Anniversary Reebok Pump collaborations recently, but who knew NBC was making one?!  It’s one of the great networks in American TV history, but the whole Jay Leno thi…oh wait, that logo actually belongs to Hong Kong’s JUICE.  The first Asian entrant in a long line of European Pump20 teamups, this pair has a stunning design highlighted by sparkly metallic sections that could look like well-polished bronze, or just rust, depending on the lighting and perspective.  Metallic silver hits on the rear would be too much for most kicks, but these avoid the Tin Man steez with a healthy portion of white leather and a couple blue touches to cool off the hot metal sections.  A mere 24 pairs of these joints will hit JUICE’s HK flagship on November 20th.  via HB

Air Jordan 2010 25th Anniversary Edition White on White

The whole reason that Nike Sportswear’s Try-Ons were so well received is that you typically can’t find those models in all-white.  In fact, aside from the venerable Air Force 1, high profile all-white releases are so infrequent that Chris Paul’s photos of the ‘blank’ Air Jordan Retros had people dreaming of the ‘History of Flight’ Pack.  It’s similarly (painfully) unlikely that this creamy Air Jordan 2010 will hit retailers.  If they did, this might be the one to win over the masses, since the silver ‘window’ circle makes for a super-smooth transition from white to clear perfs.  It goes without saying, but here’s a friendly reminder: you can count on Sneaker News for photos and updates on all Air Jordan 2010 colors.

DJ AM Memorial Fund eBay Sneaker Auction

The tragic death of DJ AM earlier this year has left one of the world’s great sneaker collections without an owner.  Most of Adam Goldstein’s huge collection were Nikes, and he had a pair of Dunks on the way.  Maybe the upcoming auction of his size 11 pairs from ‘The Icebox’ will provide Nike with a way to release them in tribute.  It would be appropriate if his design could benefit the DJ AM Memorial Fund, as will 100% of the proceeds from the eBay auctions set to start on November 15th.  Check the batteries in your smoke detectors before clicking the jump below to get a sense of the white-hot rarities you can expect come this weekend.

Patta x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star + Pro Leather 76 Available

For anyone not intimately acquainted with modern ‘street’ culture, it’d probably be easy to confuse Patta and Parra.  You can start to see similarities beyond their nearly-identical European names, upon viewing the former’s entire collection for Converse.  Let’s take the Lincoln/Kennedy-style analysis a step further: Parra, who designed a special Converse Chuck Taylor All Star earlier this year, also just dropped a Nike Air Maxim 1 and two matching varsity jackets.  Meanwhile, Patta had designed two Converse hightops (quilted grey Chuck and burgundy corduroy Pro Leather 76) with a reversible varsity jacket to match or contrast either pair.  These dropped in Europe back in September, but will be hitting select U.S. retailers like HUF tomorrow, November 14th.

Air Jordan 2010 In Depth Detailed Look

Every year, when the new Air Jordan signature model drops, we can be assured of two things. One is that the shoe will push the limits of cutting edge sneaker design, and the other is that reactions to the shoe will be of a love/hate nature. Many Jordan-heads rightfully hold Jordan Brand up to a higher standard, and because of the unconditional love for the early Air Jordan models, each new pair already has a lot working against it. JB is in a tough spot with the yearly signature Jordan line. To make a comparison, it’s like going to see a legendary band in concert, and even though the crowd only wants to hear the classic hits, the band still has to play some new songs to help sell their latest album.

That’s what seems to happen with new Air Jordans nowadays.  As much as people want to love the new ones, they will always compare them with the classics, and that’s hard to match up with, not just on a design level, but for the nostalgia factor as well.  Just like with that great band’s new album, it unfairly has plenty working against it before it even emerges. At the end of the day though, the die-hard fans still want it to be great and want to love it.  Many recent Jordan models have missed the mark by quite a bit, but even the ones that have been close still have a hard time capturing that original magic.

This year’s Air Jordan 2010 edition might just be a step back in the right direction thanks to the team of Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith at the helm. While the shoe will definitely draw it’s share of criticism and opposition, the simple fact is that JB has once again found a way to transform the classic Air Jordan aesthetic into something innovative and fresh. The flowing lines and clean design of the Air Jordan 2010 are a nice throwback to some classic Jordan flavor, but it’s the transparent window that gives the shoe the kind of daring touch that we used to always expect from a new Air Jordan release. The window effect will no doubt be extremely polarizing among sneakerheads, but at least they are still pushing things forward and creating unique concepts.

Many will bash the shoe now, and then go buy it when it drops on February 13th, so don’t be swayed by others when formulating your own opinion. Keep reading after the jump to take a thorough up-close and personal look at the Air Jordan 2010 and the technology behind it. Whether you love it or hate it, at least tip your hat to the ingenuity and progressive attitude that has made the Air Jordan line such a huge success over the years.

Packer Shoes x Reebok Pump – 20th Anniversary Collection Sneak Peek

When we showed you the hangtags from the Packer Shoes Pump20 collaboration a few days back, we hinted that the color scheme of the tags were indicative of the concept behind the design. We’re not quite ready to give you a full look at the shoe, but the theme should be pretty evident thanks to these new pics. Rather than approaching the collab with only the intent to create a fresh new colorway, Packer decided to also pay tribute to the roots of the shoe and some of the NBA history attached to The Pump. Between the color scheme and especially the inner tongue labels shown after the jump, you will likely have a good idea what inspired the Packer Pumps. Stay tuned for more on the Packer Shoes x Reebok Pump20 collaboration in the coming days, including info regarding the special in-store event that will take place the night of November 19th.

Celebrity Feet: Kobe Bryant on Lopez Tonight Premier

When George’s new show, Lopez Tonight, premiered on TBS Tuesday night, he welcomed fellow LA-guy Kobe Bryant with a Scotty Cameron putter.  On paper (or your computer screen), that sounds pretty generous, but when you consider that Lopez was reciprocating ‘cos KB blessed him with a pair of ‘Chaos’ Nike Zoom Kobe Vs (5), it might be reasonable to wonder if the host got the better end of that one.  As for their conversation, parts were quite funny, especially the ‘audience’ questions at the end.  Enjoy the entire video, including a good look at an almost Hornets-like jacket that nicely compliments the Chaos ZK5.

Nike Dunk High Premium SB Quickstrike “Gucci” aka “RESN” Available

You don’t have to be a sneaker expert to know about the release of the RESN x Nike SB Dunk High ‘Gucci’ which seems to be this year’s most anticipated Nike SB release. The demand for these SB Dunk Highs come mostly from the fact that only 24 pairs of the original model were produced. Although the 2009 version stays very true to the 2005 originals there are a few design differences. The most noticeable difference is the tightly stitched and less frayed denim used to construct the upper, as well as a black heel tab instead of red. These recently sold out on Kix-Files, and are already hitting select U.S. SB accounts like DQM as we speak, so keep an eye out.

Nike Harajuku Flagship Store Open in Tokyo, Japan

Nike Sportswear’s flagship store in New York opened just over a year ago.  This project representing both the brand reorganization/renaming (remember ‘Nike Sport Culture’?) and the store itself have done phenomenally well, especially given the current economic climate.

Rather than just resting on their success, the Swoosh would rather, say, head ‘out’ for a treadmill run accompanied by a floor-to-ceiling video display.  Clever stuff like this ‘Runner’s Studio’ is what makes Nike’s new store in the Harajuku section of Tokyo immediately indispensable.

The hardwood floors are painted with metallic silver ‘lanes’ so you can run through the store if that’s more your style.  You can customize your own kicks in the Nike iD Studio, which is emphasized by a floating display of all-white samples that would have any fan of the Try-Ons series sweeping from joy and envy.  The store is fully stocked with all of the current releases, as well as some special limited drops from before.  Take a look at the new Nike Harajuku flagship after the jump.  via ShoesMaster
