Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, VA is one of the premier basketball prep schools in America. Baltimore native Carmelo Anthony finshed his high school career at ‘The Hill’, and Jordan Brand extends all kind of PE to Melo’s alma mater. The latest is this Air Jordan Hallowed Ground in black nubuck with red contrast stitching. A bright yellow on the tongue tag and Jumpman tie in the school’s colours, while a midsole enhanced by splatters and a midfoot gradient ties the whole thing together nicely. These didn’t make it to House of Hoops in November as expected, so you can grab a pair from Osneaker.

Looks like Japan’s XLARGE was a fan of Nike’s Winter Journey Pack. Their X-Girl sub-label for ladies got up with Nike Sportswear to put together a pack of Terminator hightops. Both feature the Winter Journey signature design element, a Mexican blanket-like patterned textile. One pair is clearly feminine with its bright pink and mint green accents popping from a white upper, while the other is more rugged. This brown pair has an extremely knappy suede and looks like it could survive pretty much anything this winter. Kix-files has both.

A little over a year from its inception, Nike’s ultralight Flywire fabric has taken over. LeBron and Kobe? Check. Roger Federer and John McEnroe? Check. Bo Jackson? Add him to the list. Bo knew his way to making the Air Trainer series a cornerstone of the Nike legacy, and now one of the best has been given the fly touch. The Nike Air Trainer SC 2010 will debut when you’d expect, but we already have a look at one of the more impressive colourways on the way next year. It’s a sendup of Jackson’s (and Charles Barkley’s) alma mater, Auburn University. Peep the Tigers colours and a few others that will also drop next year, all after the jump. via DJ Clark Kent’s Twitter

Even if your closet already looks something like the photo above, you’ve still gotta be a little jealous of Eric Koston. After all, the guy made it to Nike SB on his terms and already has a few signature looks associated with his name. Both are Dunks, and Koston discusses the black/white/gum hightop in some depth in his new interview with Nike SB. Along with the interview video, you’ll also see a new photo of those famous ‘juggling’ Dunks after the jump, along with a couple of other funny poses with this wide array of SB boxes.

Do you count yourself among the sneakerheads seeking hidden gems each week or so at the local Nike outlet? You’ll occasionally find rare B-grades or a misplaced hit, but for the most part it’s a pair of $9.99 vintage runners here and a rainbow of tees for the same price there. These kicks pictured above feature a wide array of colours for sure, but they definitely belong in the ‘WTF heat’ category.
Sneaker News reader Josh Vanta found this insane Nike SB Dunk Low at his local Swoosh liquidator and was kind enough to let us marvel at the mystery right along with him. With a definite ‘Raygun’ look about them, these never-before-seen SBs add some purple hits to the nubuck-on-leather upper. While the colourway is intriguing, we’re even more fascinated by how photos of these never leaked, how far along the sampling process they were nixed, and how they made it out to one Nike Factory Store instead of the ‘bay. Thanks, Josh V.!

Collaboration between brands is a foreign idea to almost all other fashion and marketing niches, but have become pretty much common place for those involved in streetwear and footwear. But in this time of recession, collabs have surpassed it’s initial intent, becoming a way to bring in money exclusively to those involved in the product’s objective. Not so much for these Bapesta Skullstas. A Bathing Ape’s Nigo and UNDERCOVER’s Jun Takahashi came together to commemorate their hard work, branding the shoes with the movements created before their current empires- Last Orgy 2 and NOWHERE, respectively. A three-pack of common color scheme, these are expected to drop January 2nd.

French blue, concord, flint and cool greys. These iconic Nike hues also name four of the most easily identifiable Air Jordans of all time. Persian violet has that same sort of association with the OG Air Classic BW, and we’re certainly not upset by seeing it on the latest Air Structure Triax 91 retro for women. Whereas the BWs go heavy on black and purple with white accents, these are nearly covered by the colour in question. They add red, black and a nifty creme coloured outsole for that perfect nu-retro look. Grab yours from Extra Butter.

DJ Clark Kent has become a widely known name in terms of sneakers. His vast collection of kicks and fitteds has spread far beyond Brooklyn, and with the success of his creations with Nike, it’s landed him a position as Creative Advisor for the athletic wear brand. And one of the biggest perks to the job is getting first dibs on upcoming stuff, making his collection even more grand and unique. Here, DJCK flaunts a pair of Air Carnivore’s in the OG colorway, not set to drop til next summer. Jealous much?

All of the new Air Jordan Flight 45 High colourways seem more popular than their midcut brethren. Near the top of this list would have to be the True Blue joints we showed you a few weeks back, but they might lose some first-place votes to this new colour combination. These use a darker shade of blue, an effect that’s enhanced by healthy portions of black. These have a few red hits like the True Blues, but eschew all forms of elephant print in favor of a simpler array of textures. We’ll keep you posted on an upcoming release. via Kinstor

Many of the ‘golden age’ Air Jordans were inspired by military aircraft, and Nike sponsors the US Air Force Academy’s athletic program. Neither will stop adidas from sending a patriotic shoutout with this new pair of Top Ten Highs. They’re done in a shiny mix of blue and white leathers that will perfectly match the Falcons’ jerseys (if you’re not worried about cross-pollinating). Enjoy some closeup shots after the jump and get ready for these to drop at Foot Locker next month.
