Questlove x Nike Air Max 90 Coming in 2010

We all know that Questlove of The Roots is no stranger to the sneaker game. Aside from his work on the drums, he is perhaps best known by sneakerheads for his Air Force 1 collaboration from the 2008 1World collection. The Nike x Questlove partnership was a big success the first time around, and now we look towards the future at some new projects in the works from the duo. According to Brother Question, he will be creating his own Air Max 90 to be released as part of the classic shoe’s 20th birthday festivities in 2010. It’s still unknown what the shoe will look like, but you can check out the above pic for Mache‘s custom version of the AM90 using the Quest AF1 color scheme. Keep reading after the jump to check out an interview where the upcoming project is discussed, and stay tuned for more info. Via sneakerb0b.

Nike Air Max 1 West Baroque Brown Urban Haze

While the collaboration installments of the East vs. West pack get the bulk of the attention, there are plenty of fresh styles and colorways within the series that are more than deserving of some attention of their own. Here we take a peek at a rugged earth-tone look for the Air Max 1. The shoe features a Baroque Brown suede upper with an Urban Haze mesh underlay, giving the Air Max 1 more of a wintery look than we usually see on the classic runner. Additional accents come by way of a Black tongue and Swoosh and a clean White midsole. If this interesting new AM1 West model is up your alley, you can find them in stock now at select retailers such as Size?.

D.O.C. Capsule x Rockport Delta Boot

For those in the know with apparel rather than just footwear, some may be familiar with UNDRCRWN’s numerous collabs over the years.  Dustin Canalin, founder and creative director of the brand, collabs with Rockport to produce the first installment of his new cut & sew line, D.O.C.  The Rockport Delta, a mid-cut boat shoe, gets a design with travel, and ‘winter in miami” in mind.  Taking material cues from luxury luggage, the dark scheme is devised with the thought of the grim winters in New York, while the pink laces embody the warmth of Miami.  A timeless look, certainly grabbing the attention of those going for a sophisticated, high-end look.  Dustin Canalin explains:

Truly for the aspirational at heart, the shoe features an array of luxe materials. The dark grey Melton wool & black suede upper is reminiscent of fabrics used on premium varsity jackets while the black and white gingham lining counter-balances the darkness of the shoe. Giving it the sense of luxury found in tailored suits and handcrafted luggage, pinstripes were also added to the upper. A butter soft leather heel and embossed leather patches on the tongue further compliment the refined aesthetic. To lighten up the design, a pop of color was incorporated through the use of pink-waxed laces. Hand sewn elements and purple stitching found on the heel mimic the construction of apparel and provides the perfect finishing touch to tie it all together.

Priced at $110, the shoes will disperse globally this Friday, the 27th, with only 100 pairs available.  Not confirmation as to what stores will have them, but a limited quanitity will be available through UNDRCRWN.

Nike Air Classic BW Black Turquoise

In our search for news on a variety of kicks, it’s good to see that the fan-base is growing throughout the entire Nike Running roster, other than the 90, 95 and 97.  The Air Classic BW is one of those kicks that’s slowly, but surely, getting an increasingly good response from the consumer end of things.  This one is sure to be a hit with it’s Tiffany-ish colorway.  OK, maybe it’s more of a turquoise than an aqua, but there’s a good chance most will think of those Dunks when they spot these.  With the white overlay looking like a racing stripes on a sportscar, the silo and colors are complimented by a mix of leather and mesh paneling.  Available now at wellgosh

Nike 6.0 Braata + Mavrk Purple Plaid

If you’re reading this, that means you’re open-minded enough not to grunt in disgust upon seeing 6.0 in the title while moving onto the next article of news.  So for those who came this far, good for you!  We don’t blame you if it took some effort to check up on this though.  True, Nike’s alternative sports division had a rough start, but they have been bumping out some pretty dope pairs.  Along with some of fresh Braata’s we’ve already come across, 6.0 releases another Braata one in a purple tonal plaid upper.  Fit with trek laces and an indigo sole, this is a clean pair for the new season.  Also following the same style, the Mavrk (6.0′s Vandal, if you will) features a fur lining to keep you’re toes extra cozy.  Can’t deny that these two are definitely a good look.  If you haven’t spotted these already at you’re local 6.0 retailer, cop em at Nikestore.

CMD for DJ Tommy x adidas Original USB Toy Robot

We’ve witnessed CLOT‘s plentiful creativity be applied to kicks and apparel.  But now we can see how Edison Chen and Kevin Poon can apply their marketing smarts onto other mediums.  To promote the album release of their CMD (Clot Media Division) artist, DJ Tommy, Clot teamed up with adidas Originals to create this USB toy robot.  While sporting a CMD cap, adidas branding is found on its body, along with having the robot rock a pair of Forum Mids.  To tie in with the album, the head detaches and is a functional USB, containing three tracks from DJ Tommy’s new release.  Definitely a clever new form as promotional swag pieces.  via Dunk.com.cn

Nike Air Max Lebron VII NFW White Varsity Red

King James’ new sig sneaker has been one of the most highyly anticipated drops of 2009.  There are so many to already recollect on, from the from the City and Artist packs from the “More Than a Game” Tour, to its debut colorway.  But the one that seemed to cause the biggest buzz was the Red Carpet Air Max Lebron VII.  Between the colorway and the woven upper, these quickstrikes caused mayhem.  Soon another NFW (No Flywire) version will drop featuring a white/red colorway.  Also rocking the same leather with woven sections, this also has a touch of patent in the ankle collars.  If you act quick, you can grab what they have left available at MarqueeSole.

Nike Dunk Boot GS Holiday 2009

Nike can make the Dunk look like a Vandal, an Air Max 95, and now, apparently, a boot.  Sneaker traditionalists will be glad that the Nike Dunk Boot will only be available in GS sizes, while we expect that plenty of young ladies will just be happy to rock these nearly-knee-highs.  We say ladies because the pink and gold accents point more to the ‘girls’ than ‘grade school’, but they still won’t be made in sizes above US boys 6.  Expect these at Nike Sportswear retailers soon and check with Sneaker News for updates.  via Warped
